Will have my character up quite soon.
@Hitman
I sent a PM with a question about the magic.
Also is my CS good or do I need to fix anything?
:D introducingDrakus Vull
Nicknames/Alias: Drake
Height: 172cm
Weight: 75kgs
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Nationality: Polish
Hometown: Krakōw
Date of Birth: 21/01/02
Family: Nightburden
Status: Scion
Weapon of Choice: Kusarigama or Rapier & Parrying daggerMagic: Tenebris Sanguine;
This shadow magic is triggered by blood. It solidifies darkness into ‘shadow stuff’, a dangerous malleable substance that can change its properties in an instant. From soft waving and stretching tentacles to high speed razor sharp projectile daggers.
To activate this power blood must be dropped into an area of shade or darkness. This power is stronger (produces stronger shadow stuff) in darker enviroments or with the spilling of more blood. Strengths: Influenced by demons blood, he is faster, stronger and more durable than the average human, this coupled with his altered genetics and heavy strict disciplined training make him quite the formidable opponent.
Weaknesses: Fissured reality; Drakus is sometimes haunted by visions and nightmares during his waking moments. This can cause all manner of distractions and unable to believe his own eyes, this constantly causes him to question what he see’s.
Desperation and losing control; Unable to ever make anyone proud, he still fears disappointment. He has learned to push beyond his limits to prevent failure however doing so comes at a cost of drawing on the demon blood within him and giving up some self control.
Fears: Ostracisation; to be looked down upon, considered as less, pitied, laughed at.
Madness; the fear of losing control, losing the ability to think rationally, becoming overwhelmed and driven by emotion, losing any sense of self and identity, acting inappropriately or bringing himself shame, these things scare him terribly.
Personality: Cold, distant, elitist, controlling, condescending, perfectionist. These are all terms that have been used to describe Drakus, and none of them would be wrong. Self centred he cares for little else beside his stature among others. He has known little of camaraderie or friendship but experienced a life time of hierarchy and obedience.
There is no place or time for emotions and weakness in the heart of a warrior. Discipline and riggerous training will triumph in a world where the strong rule the weak and only the fittest survive. Drakus was born a survivor.

Drakus is more or less essentially a creation and has always been treated as so. Less a child and more the successful results of many morally questionable experiments in a long line of failures, a living standing testament to a new age of modern science and knowledge, a purpose built commodity of deliberate design and careful specification.
There was no love to be lost in his household. Sure he was looked upon with pride, but it was not pride in his own actions or achievements but instead a self pride from the viewers eyes like that of a craftsman pleased with what he produced.
Drakus could get no credit for anything he had done or achieved, instead owing it to those that overlooked him. However failures and disappointment were always his to wear alone. He was raised by ever changing nurses, constantly monitored by scientists and educated of discipline in strict military fashion. Sure he did not have to go through this alone. He had many siblings, in a sense.
None of the children in this breeding farm knew who their mothers really were but some of the kids displayed similar appearances and or abilities. In fact most did in some way or another but they were so accustomed to it, seeing hardly anyone else, they barely recognised the signs. In the end, getting close to this family wasn’t worth it. One by one they began falling sick and eventually dying or being taken away. Often there were no goodbyes, yet still that was preferential to what else was going on with the others. A madness began to sweep over a minority, pure insanity. Sure some of it was simply unnerving babble and unpredictable erratic behaviour, but as haunting as that could be it was nothing compared to the masochistic violence that some of the children burst out with. Or the sickening displays of sadism that they unawaringly stumbled upon.
But of course such a vile place could not be sustained or remain hidden forever. The powers that be shut it down. In the end, before their separation, Drakus was one of six remaining children. It is still unknown what happened to them, if they even survived at all.
Life changed for Drakus after that point. He was adopted into a wealthy and respectable family. While taught little of demons he was still unexplainably trained in the martial arts to combat them. He had a strict regiment of daily tasks and chores followed by endless hours of repetitious drills and exercise. Still, no matter how hard he was pushed, he remained grateful. For this was far better than what had come before.
One day finally sense was made of everything. All the unasked questions were answered and he learned much of the demons, his powers and the truths of the world. It also became apparent that at least one other child had survived, up until that day anyway. Defeated by a demon. Drakus was to continue his training at the school of death, the last and truest test.
Those early years of Drakus childhood still hang with him. Unable to be forgotten they were filled with the things of other children’s nightmares. Since hell had become his norm, his nightmares had to become made of something worse. Still, as they revisit him again and again, he can’t help but notice they grow stronger and deeper every year. Drakus eternally haunted and unable to ever escape them. Even now, years later he still is plagued by the same dreams as before, now they no longer even wait for him to sleep, preying upon and terrorising him even in the wake of day. A constant torment on an already fragile mind.
Hobbies/Interests: Drakus has learnt to enjoy the familiarity of repetition. Never having had time to persue his own interests he has since found old routines to become an escape from his own mind. Therefore martial practice and training is his first hobby.
When the body is done he will sharpen the mind with books of philosophy or important literature. Always striving to remain educated and of equal stature and knowledge as those of the higher circles. Less he be considered less than them or be made a fool of on conversation.

NameEnzo Tarantella of the House ArachneNicknames/AliasThe Seventh Spider
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Nationality: Filipino
Hometown: Kuwebang Sinukuan, Mt. Arayat, Pampanga, Philippines
Date of Birth: May 21, 2002Appearance
Black rings are somewhat visible on his eyes as evidence of his constant fatigue and exhaustion. He does have a sickly pallor to boot.
Height: 5'6
Weight: 121 lbs
Status: Legacy
Weapon of Choice: The Juru Pakal - A kris blade that is one of the Arachne family's treasures. It is an ornate, jet-black kris that Enzo hangs from his waist. Sturdy yet lightweight, this allows Enzo to be nimble while fighting, although, his chronic sickness makes it hard for him to maximize the blade's strength. To compensate for his lack of endurance, Enzo makes sure to lace the Juru Pakal in a neurotoxin, designed to incapacitate his opponents as quickly as possible before his own strength fails.MagicTrece Martires
Similar to those of the Arachne clan, Enzo shackles three spirits of those who fell in battle against the demons to his side. These spirits inhabit three individual armor sets with different specializations. Normally, Enzo can just summon the three armor-spirits and let them do battle for him. However, when push comes to shove, Enzo can also command the spirit to equip the armor on him or on allies, providing them with the armor's benefits. The armors themselves are ethereal, being treasures of the Arachne clan. Once they are damaged too much, the armor dissipates where it is slowly repaired.
- Ang Panday (The Blacksmith) - this armor once belonged to a fallen blacksmith who sacrificed himself to free his people from the influence of the demons infesting his realm. His spirit lives on in the armor, and like his enduring and determined nature, the Panday is the strongest and toughest plate armor in Enzo's arsenal. It carries a longsword at its back, and its main task is to stick near to Enzo as an emergency equip. However, it is as slow and sluggish as it is tough, causing faster foes to be able to outmaneuver this spirit with little difficulty.
- Ang Datu (The Ruler) - this armor bore the spirit of a fallen datu who led his people in a bloody crusade against the creatures of the dark, ultimately allowing them to overthrow their demon captors. The Datu armor is the lightest and fastest of all the spirit-armors, possessing strength and speed above that of a normal athlete. Equipped with a pair of ornate eastern daggers, the datu is often the spirit Enzo calls for battle. If Enzo equips this armor, he also becomes faster at the expense of his already sickly energy.
- Ang Babaylan (The Priestess) - this armor held the spirit of a fallen priestess who helped in healing and binding the wounds sustained during the great war against their demon captors. While not possessing any significant defensive or offensive capabilities, this spirit-armor can still fight, similar to a normal combatant. The most notable use for this armor is that it heals whomever it is equipped on. It should be noted that the healing power is derived from Enzo's own energy.
Strengths:
- High Intelligence - Enzo is a skilled tactician, owing to his poor health which forced him to stick to literature and study. While not the smartest in his family, Enzo can definitely hold his own in devising battle tactics, strategies, and emergency protocols.
- Decent Swordsman - While his constitution is impaired, Enzo was still trained in his family's fighting tactics. He can't always hold his own against a normal fighter, but with the use of his armors, his fighting prowess is greatly increased.
- Great Wealth - As a direct member of the House Arachne, Enzo has access to a ridiculous amount of wealth, owing to his family's businesses around the world. They have connections even in the black market, but that's a story for another time.
- Calm and Analytical - It is almost impossible to tick off Enzo as he had been trained to keep a calm demeanor even in the worst of times. He almost never panics, and he can serve as a decent leader in desperate scenarios.
Weaknesses:
- Chronic Illness - Due to a strange infantile illness, Enzo is perpetually plagued with a disease that leaves him coughing and fatigued. This, as a consequence, makes him weaker than other legacies alongside reduced stamina and even energy levels.
- Overzealous and Lawful Neutral - As someone who abides by the laws without the taint of prejudice, Enzo can be quite close-minded when it comes to lawbreakers and unconventional individuals. He has little tolerance for those who do not follow protocols, and this can put him at odds with his peers.
- Weakness for Direct Combat - Enzo prefers to let his spirits do his fighting for him. While he can fight toe-to-toe with his armors equipped, he is still weaker than expected of a legacy (compared to his brothers and sisters). Even greenhorns can defeat him given enough time and tactics. Once the armors are defeated, Enzo may be as weak as a greenhorn-- sometimes, even weaker.
Fears:
- Breaking the Law - Enzo never wants to break the regulations. Any Arachne who violates the sacred tenets are expelled and disowned, something Enzo never wants to happen to him.
- Disgracing the Family Name - He has a lot to live up to. As such, Enzo is scared of other legacies, especially greenhorns, to best him in combat. This may stain his family name, and put more burden on his bloodline than he already had with his illness.
- Demons of Arayat - The idea of the demons destroying his clan is a nightmare to Enzo. He had lost a few brothers and sisters to these clawed wretches, and he would be damned if he let those fiends threaten his clan again.
Personality: Law and order. These are the things that Enzo believes are the cornerstones of society. Black and white, there's nothing in between. Good and evil. You need to choose a side, and indecision is a side of its own.
Enzo is the personification of efficiency, doing everything in organized protocols and sequences. He dislikes deviation, even in little things such as different brands of pens and even shades of color. Enzo appreciates the company of smart and calm individuals who he can strike a conversation with; however, idiots and happy-go-lucky fools grind his gears. There's nothing more irritating than a ray of sunshine treating this entire midnight pit of a job like a game. Reapers died to keep humanity safe, and anyone who treats it as a joke is immediately put into a bad spot in Enzo's book.
Likes:
- Poetry and Singing
- People who obey the law
- Organized rooms and spaces
- Bringing justice to the oppressed
- Strangely enough, he enjoys videogames
- Planning and strategies
- Fried chicken-- he can also whip up his own batch
Dislikes:
- Lawbreakers
- Those who deviate from protocol
- Spicy foods and beef
- Unnecessary fighting and conflict
- Inefficient fools
Backstory:
'I'll protect you, Enzo.' his sister had said that day.
'Thanks.' he replied.
Ten spiders faced the demons of Arayat on a rainy October, just as the strongest typhoon of the year slammed against the Philippines. As the dark clouds spiraled with raging lightning bolts tearing at the sky above them, the Spiders of Arachne marched into the devil's crack with their familiars shackled to their sides.
Et araneo vitae,
His father had spoken the words of their house.
Et nobis protegam eam,
They answered. And, with a march, they stormed the demons' keep where a ferocious battle took place for days on end.
Enzo equipped the Datu unto him, allowing the lad to fend off two demons with a crescent slash. The darkness of the keep haunted Enzo, and the only thing to serenade him was the pained grunts of his family and the snarls of the demons they were fighting. He crashed against a nearby rocky wall, struggling to catch his breath. His poor health had always haunted him, a chronic illness which plagued him since his birth. While his brothers and sisters were already training with blades, he struggled to pick up a wooden sword. And, while they summoned their familiars with ease, Enzo bled from his nose when he even tried exerting the spell.
He was the inferior Spider, and it was only his broken pride and a need to prove himself that he even volunteered to join his family's expedition. The reality of his disability stung at the lad, causing him to burst at his parents, screaming at them to bring him with them to storm Arayat.
However, in this moment of weakness, a group of C-Class demons surrounded him. Overwhelmed, Enzo fell to the earth, but his sister, Teresa, saved him as she barreled through the horde with her minotaur familiar. Still, as valiant as Teresa's efforts were, she could not stop the relentless waves of demons to rush towards the weakened Spider, and with nothing left to do, she jumped in front of a blade meant for Enzo.
As the weakened Spider watched the life ebb from his sister's eyes, the visages of his brothers darting through the corridor and fending off the demons lulled Enzo into an exhausting nightmare which heavily affected his personality.
Though the Spiders eradicated the demons, they lost Teresa that day. From that moment forward, Enzo changed his outlook in life. He no longer rebelled and placed his family's safety above others. He accepted the fact that laws were there to protect the people, and to break them was inviting death.
He broke the rule that his family placed on him-- the rule that he should train better first before joining, and that cost his sister's life.
Accepted a year earlier at the Academy due to his experience in battling demons, Enzo now trains harder than ever to avenge the memory of his sister and to avenge the deaths of those who were killed by the things darker than them.
Hobbies/Interests:
- Enzo does like to sing, and he absent-mindedly sings different folk songs and tunes he knows.
- Strangely enough, he has grown to like video games-- if only because it allowed him to surpass his bodily limitations. He does report hackers and toxic behaviors, though.
