Characterization
AffiliationUchiha Clan
PersonalityYasuke was raised to have the three Cs: Calm, Calculating, and Confidence. This essentially gives him a laid back aura that follows him around, often putting off the impression that he’s lazy, doesn’t take things seriously. Though, the truth is, he’s never shy in focusing his best efforts in whatever task he puts his mind to. He strives to maintain the honor that his family name implicates as part of the Konohashi Police Force.
When around those of his clan, excluding his grandfather of course, he is more formal. The young man is fully aware of how much they don’t really like him despite their shared blood. Yasuke’s had to grow up with subtle chiding words, some exclusion, and overall general distance from them. With always having to deal with the frustrations of his situation, he is very resilient to most verbal assaults.
With those closer to him however, Yasuke is more willing to let emotion show. That he has a sense of humor, an adventurous spirit, and a fair share of consideration for others. He has a bit of a mischievous side as well.
HistoryYasuke Uchiha was born to Sayaka Uchiha, who had defected from the clan in her early years as a jonin. Although the intent was to never return, situations changed, and desperate measures needed to be initiated. Thus, in his first year of life, she had left Yasuke with the Uchiha Clan to be safe at least until he could defend himself. With most seeing Sayaka as a traitor and her son in turn an outsider, it ultimately came down to his grandfather speaking up for and offering to take Yasuke under his wing. He could not do the same for Sayaka though, and thus she had to keep moving.
His mother had left him with two things with which to remember her. A book that his grandfather noted was her journal, and a rather large katana of some samurai origin. Whenever Yasuke asked about his mother and father, there was a negative tone that stemmed from the vague answers to his questions. Easily picking up that something bad had happened, he eventually stopped asking about it. Despite his grandfather’s initial distance, they grew closer and bonded through his shinobi training.
Growing up, Yasuke proved to be a prodigy in his training to become a shinobi. For one, he was typically much bigger and faster than the kids his own age group. Although this made physical combat very easy for him, he had to learn to better hone the skills he learned, as well as the techniques that would be needed for this new class of ninja. During his time as an upcoming genin was when it was believed that his grandfather had died when performing a top-secret shinobi mission. The loss of what he really only considered to be his only parental figure was what had awoken his Sharingan.
Fortunately enough though, his grandfather did survive his final mission, though, due to spinal injury, he was severely crippled. With medical aid, he could walk again, but his compromised mobility forced resignation from actively serving in both the police force and the shinobi business. Although somewhat disheartened, Yasuke was more grateful that he was alive.
With his newly found abilities, his growth gained a sharp incline. With his Sharingan abilities able to keep up his physical speed, he was a force to be reckoned with in the chunin exams. Upon passing it, his grandfather had given him a gift. As it turned out, his mother left not one, but two books. Both were journals, however, the second contained much more information, including the events leading up to his birth. When Yasuke asked as to why this was hidden for so long, his grandfather simply assured him that he was now mature enough to understand.
For the most of the past year, he had been avoiding the book. Almost afraid of what his mother had written inside. For his grandfather to have kept it for so long, it must have had terrible things within. Yet still, he hadn’t seen his mother since he was too young to remember. Thus, he reasoned with anxious hope, that perhaps with this, he could finally find her…
If she was still alive.

Jutsu ListExpertiseKenjutsu - With his inherited katana, that he later learns belonged to his Samurai father, Yasuke is a natural genius in swordsmanship. At first, his ability was more limited to the Uchiha way of sword fighting that his grandfather taught, or using his sharingan to copy techniques from other swordsman. As time moved on, however, his capabilities evolved making him quite comparable to even the mighty samurai in skill. His style alternates between Kenjutsu and his own form of Iaido, the latter of which he is much more precise with. This is easily his most distinguished of skills.
Taijutsu - Considering his physical attributes as a child, Taijutsu was something that he naturally became good at. It had gotten to a point where he needed more advanced opponents than ones of his own class in order to properly grow his skills. What is more, due to the current circumstances of the shinobi being secret to the outside world, he learned to master the Silent Fist style of Taijutsu, for obviously stealthful reasons.
Genjutsu: Considering that half of his family line is quite reputable for their use of the Sharingan to create illusions, Yasuke is no pushover when it comes to the use of such an ability.
Shurikenjutsu: While not his area of specialty, his sharingan sight based abilities make targeting with projectiles come much easier to him than it would for most.
