@Lmpkio Okies - got some ability ideas that might power Nessy up a bit

- Sensory projection - can project sensations onto both humans and Kaiju, regardless of where they are in the world, so long as she knows what they look like. Although only one individual at a time. (so like, she could make someone think they're drowning, or on fire, or nice things too :) )

- Memory projection - Can make an individual, human or Kaiju, experience a memory or imagined scene, wherever they are in the world.

- Remote viewing - can spy on both humans and kaiju, wherever they are in the world

Any good?

- Sensory projection is an interesting trait. The way you describe it sounds about balanced compared to Nessie's current abilities.

- Memory projection reminds me of a fan audio-drama - revolving around an ancient "hologram" that could unleash surreal simulations of certain past events. However your version is probably better in Nessie's case. If you're interested in what the audio drama is, click the link below:

An anti-hero huh? Nice! Most of the human characters I'd want would revolve around the good guys as involved with TERRA - or be that they start out neutral and then get on TERRA's radar.

There will also be some bad people too. However, I'd like if you refrain from making those characters for the moment.

Looks cool! It's very traditionally based on what's described in myths and texts, but such monsters don't need to be exactly as they are told. Again, creative liberties can be taken if you want. Like, for example, the ancient people may mistake the tail for being a snake, but rather it's say a scorpion tail or something cool. Or combine the traits into one animal but with only one head and body that invokes all three traits of the lion, goat, and serpent.

Again, this is my idea if I wanted to go about utilizing the Chimera, but if you feel like really wanting the pic you're showing, then go for it! Just throwing it out there, you don't need to follow what I said - it's only an idea for a more "naturalistic" approach. :)

Oh wow! Thank you so much! I do really like the picture and the concept of having multiple heads on my creature, but this "naturalistic" approach sounds very intriguing. I'll have to think long and hard about it. Again, thank you! You'll know my decision soon enough.

Also you're the first to actually claim an outpost for a non-gm monster. And for someone of his caliber, it's best that he's in there.

He's surprisingly balanced for someone of such toxic nature - although now that I see him in nature, I do believe his height ought to be a bit smaller. He can easily swallow a large kaiju whole if he's actually that big.

I say to make his height smaller. You can keep the length and wingspan, but maybe him maybe... say 50 - 60 Meters tall. Still big width wise but not too big. Hell, if he's gonna go the extra snake similarities, he could even split his jaw to swallow larger pray. It'll definitely take effort, but again, not to the point where he could swallow creatures in one pass. Again, he makes up with his length - think of the chinese dragon kaiju Manda from the Godzilla series.

Other then that, make his history and I think he'll be ready to go.

Appearance:

Nessie is strikingly similar in appearance to the now extinct Plesiosaur. She has a large, egg-like body, with a long neck and tail, and two pairs of flippers. She is countershaded, with blue-grey on top, and creamy white on her belly and the bottom of her neck, flippers, and tail for camouflage. Her skin is smooth and reptilian in order to decrease resistance when she swims.

Size:

Nessie's body is around 20m long, and 15m tall. Her neck and tail are each around 15m, giving her a total length of 50m.

First Appearance:

Nessie's always just sort of 'been around', never as shy around human's as she shoud've been. When the invasion happened, she was just swimming around Loch Ness. Not much really changed for her, except now she's much cooler with popping her head up to say 'hi'.

Abilities:

Psychic Camouflage - Nessie's camouflage abilities go well beyond merely having good colouring to avoid detection. She is capable of warping the minds of those who see her to where they dismiss her as being just a part of the scenery such as a log or a particularly strange looking bird. This ability does not work, however, on those with a significantly active imagination, for whom seeing her would not be so strange or out of the ordinary.

Empathic Projection - Whilst she cannot communicate with words, she can project a general aura of an emotion onto the humans or kaiju around her. In the past, she's used this to make sure that, even if they don't see her, tourists leave happy and satisfied with their trip.

Sensory projection - can project sensations onto both humans and Kaiju, regardless of where they are in the world, so long as she knows what they look like. Although only one individual at a time. (so like, she could make someone think they're drowning, or on fire, or nice things too :) )

Memory Projection - Can make an individual, human or Kaiju, experience a memory or imagined scene, wherever they are in the world.

Memory Probe - Can peak into the recollections of others, human or Kaiju, so long as they are contact with water.

Weaknesses:

Psychic Lake Monster - Just Add Water! - Whilst capable of using her abilities on any within a 10 mile radius of Loch Ness, she is only able to use them on those further afield if they are in contact with a substantive amount of water (so not just like, water vapour in the air, but getting rained on would leave someone vulnerable).

Confined - Whilst Nessie could probably survive in bodies of water other than Loch Ness, she is, in general, unable to survive outside of water, so can't really move on her own.

Not Much Of A Fighter - Nessie isn't really built for one on one combat, and relies heavily on her camoflage abilities and general speed and agility even whilst hunting (she mostly lives of a diet of moderately sized sea birds and fish - and for a while was the cause of a decline in seagulls).

Personality:

Nessie is a gentle giant. In the past, she's had a bit of a sense of humour, deliberately letting humans see her in order to cause a stir, but genuinely, she's pretty chill and just wants to get on with her life. As far as humans go, she's rather fond of them. She finds them amusing and curious, and would really rather they weren't wiped of the face of the planet.

History:

Nobody really knows where Nessie came from, and before the invasion, some would say she was never there at all. A product of drunk scotsmen, of people eager for a taste of the mystserious and the magical.

Well. You know what they say about being careful what you wish for.

Appearance: At 5'6", Grace is a little on the tall side, and thanks to TERRA's physical training programme, has fairly muscular proportions. At work, she is always dressed professionally, even whilst meeting with her charges, regardless of the weather. During her free time, she usually opts for a similarly sleek, sophisticated wardrobe, funded by her expansive salary. At work she usually wears her hair up, in either a bun or a ponytail, although at home she is more prone to wearing it down.

Agent of Terra - Human Resourcing department

Sarah is a member of the team charged with tracking down individuals who may be of interest to TERRA, and acting as a liason between more… difficult individuals and the higher ups of TERRA.

Starting Location:
Sarah was alone in her apartment, enjoying a nice glass of wine before bed, when she got the call, well before any mainstream news outlets even thought about broadcasting the story, that something involving the Kaiju had happened. Within the hour, she was at work, liaising with existing contacts, and searching through the various platforms available to her for indications of individuals showing themselves to be front and centre of this rapidly unfolding disaster.

History:
As a child, Sarah always thought she wanted to be a lawyer. So, she got good grades and did all the right extra curriculars, and so, by the time she was 21 and ready to enroll in law school, it was as big of a shock to her as anyone else when she chopped her hair down to a pixie cut, got a tattoo, and bought a plane ticket to South America to 'save the rain forests'.

After several years of failing to find herself, a few too many attempts from her mother to send her to rehab, and a lot too many nights sat around a campfire listening to somebody butcher Bob Dylan on guitar, Sarah returned home, dejected. She didn't fee like she'd achieved much of anything, and circumstances meant it was too late for her to enrol in law school.

More lost than ever, she moved out, got an apartment and a string of failed relationships, and settled into a corporate job she hated just to avoid being a further strain on her ageing parents.

Which was when she was approached by TERRA.

To this day, she still isn't sure what drew them to her, but she's not complaining. She likes her job, and actually feels like she's making a difference.

After thousands of millions of years of dormancy, titanic beings once forgotten rose from the deepest darkest depths of the planet's surface in response to an unknown frequency that rocked the world by storm. The anti-monster initiative "TERRA" had long since been preparing for when this day would inevitably come. They did everything they could - documenting them, imprisoning them, studying them, even proposing projects to halt their rampage with the minimalist of casualties. They did all the calculations necessary to prepare, but they assumed this to take place far into the future...

And now they're here.

Humanity stands amidst the gaping jaws of primordial gods - creatures who had lived far longer than we had. They want their Earth back - their rightful place upon the infested world of man.

The war for Earth had just begun.

We start this RP upon that fateful day - the very second the monsters decided to break free and reveal themselves to the eyes of the public.

The player's human characters would be situated in various different locations and would find their lives turned upside down as they find themselves in the crosshairs of a monstrous invasion. They do all they could to survive before TERRA arrive at the affected areas, gathering their agents and assessing the situation. Any involved or have information about the invaders would be taken in by TERRA and asked for questioning, while they attempt to decode and pinpoint the direction of the frequency. In the meantime, humanity is now arming itself for war and TERRA is tasked to track down and take these behemoths down, dead or alive.

TERRA'S Primary Objectives:

• 1). Document the escaped monsters and newly risen threats.
• 2). Decode the mysterious frequency and discover its origins.
• 3). Prepare countermeasures and contingency protocols.

The player's monster characters would find themselves in a world that had long since lived without their presence. Their world has changed, whether for the better or worse. Whether they are furious at the world tainted by those pesky humans, or otherwise simply confused or curious, their search for answers would lead them into conflict with both TERRA, the military, and even each other.

Monsters' Primary Objectives:

• 1). SURVIVE.

~ TERRA's main HQ is located on the coast of Boston, Massachusetts, being a large building with many underground components and access to a whole monster database of contained titans. They also have remote cameras that document the containment facilities all over the world.

~ Military power is roughly equivalent to today's tech, however TERRA has access to several high-tech vehicles and weaponry in preparations for the monster's uprising. Mechs in this arc are virtually non-existent, or in early stages of development prototyping and would be more in the hands of the military. (One character mech is fine so as long as it reflects the prototyping stage)

~ Military power is roughly equivalent to today's tech, however TERRA has access to certain high-tech vehicles and weaponry in preparations for the monster's uprising. Mechs in this arc are virtually non-existent, or in early stages of development prototyping and would be more in the hands of the military. (One character mech is fine so as long as it reflects the prototyping stage)

- As a personal request, I would prefer monsters to be more grounded in Earth's ecosystem as giant ancient monsters. Think of traditional kaiju from the Godzilla and Gamera series of Tokustatu films. Nothing too complicated yet - so keep very unique monsters of the lovecraftian type, or those that had hiveminds, to a minimal. A few of these things are OK within reason, but they ought not to be the focus of the Arc.
