@Crusader Lord I like the idea of a race working towards a divine goal (in their eyes at least), like, when mages work for thousands of years to find immortality, but these guys working on mastering their own innate abilities. Certainly a cool concept idea, though definitely tied to magic in my opinion, even if it's innate. It might be a fun thing for them to figure out ocne they come into contact with a lot of magic.

Which brings me to what @Ascendant is saying. Magic is soemthing that exists in faint patches across the entire world right now. So most races haven't even seen anything remotely related to magic, except for our fairies of course, who might've been created by some weird magical event. This WILL change as the RP goes on (Witcher anyone?) and then magic will become a very real option for anyone who dares use it. I really doN't want to spoil much, I have a fun idea for magic that will be interesting for you all to explore, but the gist of it is that it exists in trace amounts rn.

@Crusader Lord I mean, the idea of changing based on emotional state could be something even if the ability is innately magical. It doesn't have to be a strong magical energy, and certainly emotions would count as such for a magical being. But they would probably also trigger if they encountered a strong soruce of magic (like our fey race)

@6slyboy6 I like that idea for magic. I think it would be a good idea to not go so heavy handed with the magic as I believe most of us did not build around a magic mechanic. I like the idea that it may be discoverable later after some development, but wouldn’t be so readily available.

Well, this is a very WIP IC post haha, I can't promise that the layout of everything will stay the same, and since there wasn't much happening I had a hard time coming up with something to write. But beleive me once we get some wind under our sails this will quickly blow up to be 10-15k characters per GM posts

@jimapple Help a brother out and put your sheet into the CS section here so I don't have to look around for 10 minutes to see who's not on the list X3

@Ascendant Mmmm, what do you mean? The first IC is up, the gates are wide open, the keyboards are all warmed up! Now is the time to begin writing to your heart's content and begin this epic journey :D

And also a quick reminder for everyone, don't forget that this is a joint worldbulding as well as an RP. The map is a suggestion, my words are an advice, and the words you read a guidance. But whatever it is, you are all the painters of an empty canvas waiting to be filled up with your ideas. As you can see, I haven't named anything or marked them on the map (except for the highest peak), because it's all waiting for you to come up with. See that mountain right there? No? Then why don't you come up with it? Name it, argue with your neighbours about why your name for it is better, and then go to war to show them you were right all along
