@Shadow Dragon Mary blinked. She was hesitant to open the basement door. She took a deep breath and did so anyway.
@Mistress Dizzy Catherine shrugged. "I've been doing...ok...I suppose...since HE showed up." She sighed. "my father has not been in a right state of mind ever since that day."
Kijani sighed faintly. "I suppose he wouldn't. A lot of people have been checking out vampire books lately, let me tell you that." Maybe the mayor should have listened to the few naysayers in town when the stranger showed up.
@Shadow Dragon Mary started to head back up the stairs. She tried to be quiet.
@Mistress Dizzy Catherine nodded. "my mother has been a bit depressed as well, mainly because of what has happened to my father." She sighed. "i'm not sure what to do anymore."
He watches her try to climb the stairs, fairly stealthy, for one of the Living. But he could hear the sound of her near panicked heartbeat from here, the slight creek as she slips up the stairs.
"I'm sorry, Catherine. If there's anything I can do, say the word. If I had the power, I'd break the vampire's face in. Or just force feed him garlic? Whatever works."
