He stretches, and curls into a tight ball.

She frowned.

He twitches slightly, but doesn't move from the shelf.

Mary sighed.
"perhaps I should find him another home."

"Yeah, I agree. Someday we'll fix things, I promise." Even if she had to do it herself. "By the way, you may want to get your sister Mary a keychain flashlight. She was walking home alone in the dark and I had to semi-rescue her from some creeper."

Catherine blinked. She frowned.
"Mary is a friend of mine, but sure."
She nodded.

He stands, arching his back in a stretch.

Mary went to the phone, right in the cats' line of sight. She was about to make a certain phone call.

He hops down, and wanders over, and crouches, watching the lightly swaying phone line, tail whipping.

"Hello, yes I..."
Mary was starting to make the phone call.

He listens in, while pretending to be absorbed in the movement of the cord.

"Hello, is this the city pound?"
Mary hoped that they would be able to take the cat. She was starting to get freaked out by it and she was not entirely sure why. There was just something about the cat that did that.

He sits down, and growls slightly.

Mary started to explain about the cat and such.

"Sorry, sorry!" Kijani was a bit embarrassed. "I keep thinking you're sisters. Well, I don't want to keep you here forever. Do you need to be walked home too?"

"actually, I was going to stop by the 24 hour store on the way home. I need to pick up a few things."
Catherine had since waved away the apology with a faint smile.

She tried not to frown.

Kijani paused, wondering at the slight twitch of the other woman's lips. "...would you like some company? I have nothing to do right now."
