The war has begun. The goblin king made his threat. The princess is feeling helpless, unsure of what to do. The princess knew she only had a limited amount of time to come to a decision. She needed help. She looked out beyond her balcony and to the kingdom around her. She was lost in her thoughts...

Dharichar trudges away from the portal to the underworld, letting it close behind him. He looks around and cackles. "It worked!" He laughs. "I'm in the mortal realm." He begins walking though the dark, broken temple that he appeared in, and looks out over the land.

Cesidia is in her room, studying the history of the kingdom, or trying to anyway. Her father and brothers had just left for battle, and all she can think about is their safety. She gives up and instead writes to the princess, inquiring after her safety and well-being.

Princess Petunia was pacing inside her bedchambers. She was very worried, and very scared. She took a deep breath and sighed. The princess thought about what happened. She was feeling helpless. That was when she got that letter. She frowned and was hesitant to reveal her feelings, not wanting to worry her. So, she simply wrote that she was healthy and that no harm had come to her.

Cesidia frowns at the response, then writes back that she’s on her way to the palace. After sending the letter on its way, she begins her ride to her friend.

Petunia blinked when she read the second letter. She frowned. She did not wish for her to come. She tried to write back not to come to the castle, that everything would be alright. But, she would quickly realize that she was most likely too late. She sighed and looked down at the floor after that.

Quincy was walking with the soldiers he had been assigned to

Cesidia is by the gates and the guards allow her in. She nods her thanks as a stableboy leads her horse away. She is led by a maid to the princess.

Dharichar spreads his wings, and takes off, his tail whipping around as he flies, watching the trees.

The princess was in her private sitting room. She was pacing a bit. The frown upon her face remained. Was she to end up the bride of the goblin king? Did she wish for her friend to truly worry about her? She sighed. She fought tears. She wished that she wasn't so helpless. She needed a solution to her problem.

Cesidia arrives with a bow. "Greetings, princess."

He stops in mid air, flapping his wings. What's that smell? He takes a deep breath. His eyes glow. Souls!

Petunia blinked. She glanced up from the floor. She saw her friend and tried not to frown.
"....greetings."
She took a breath. She tried not to show how she was truly feeling. She did her best to keep it hidden.

The maid leaves and Cesidia closes the door behind her. She turns back to Petunia. "Talk to me. How do you truly feel? It has been a while, but I hope you know you still do not have to pretend with me, Petunia."

He begins flying to the nearest soul, a large castle.

Petunia blinked. She took a step back. She shook her head. She tried to keep pretending.
"I have no idea what you mean."

Cesidia frowns and steps forward, gently taking the princess’s hands in her own. “It’s alright, it’s just us. No one will hear. Please, I want to help.”

He lands in the courtyard amidst screams of terror, and shakes his head with a deep laugh. Fools.
