Annabelle Lafeyette

Annie was surprised as the man casually said her name and claimed to know her "real" parents. Was this about that letter? She'd forgotten about it. He was talking about insane things that made no sense. Annabelle was also offended at the idea that this man was claimined her adopted family weren't her real parents. Perhaps that's not what he was saying at all, but Annie was searching for reasons to dislike this man ontop of the reasons she already didn't. Narrowing her eyes she glanced over at the girl this strange driver was accosting.

"I think you're right. I also think you and I should both get away from this person." She said. Restore memories? Of being a baby? The idea was insulting and clearly belied some kind of instability within the person infront of her. What a...it's...so stupid! Annie's grip tightened around her leash carrier. The indignation and protectiveness on her face was obvious- the young woman wore her heart on her sleeve.

"Them." Rose corrected Sierra. She had been trying to wrap her brain around the fact that all three of them had the same letter. The bell dinged alerting Rose that Mab's food was ready. She grabbed it and headed over, as Sierra waved at Willow through the window.

"Sierra got the same letter." She said as she placed the plate in front of Mab. "This is too weird." She shook her head. They had to research it now. It couldn't just be some prank if three of them got the same letter. Rose had spent the last fifteen years trying to figure out who she was, but no one had had any answers. This might be legitimate.

Colby Jackson

Location: Oak Park
Skills: N/A

Colby listened to the questions and answers flowing between Tinker and Mathew. It was wild. There were some fourteen people out there from a magical not-Disney fairy world. Fourteen. Did he know any of the others? Had he secretly been in school with them? Or lived with any of them? He didn't think of his roommates were adopted, but he couldn't be certain.

Colby certainly had a lot of questions, but so did Mathew and he was asking them like someone had forgotten the faucet. That let Colby just listen since he was asking questions Colby had too. "I'll go with you. Around town that is. To find the others. I'm curious." He meant to Arcadia too. Colby already knew that. This wasn't his world so if Tinker wasn't due for a long stint in Bedlam then the world she spoke of was his home.

Cassiopeia Hood

Location: Chinese Place -- Wichita, Kansas
Skills:

”Well we can cut it down,” Cassiopeia stated. ”Donate some of it to the orphanage or shelter,” she suggested. She sat down across from her sister, taking up the other menu and scanned over the different options she could choose from. She was probably going to order a meal for two for herself so there were leftovers for the following day. ”What are you getting?” Cassiopeia always liked to get something a bit different from her sister so there were options for them later on.
She poured herself a glass of water from the pitcher that was already on the table and sipped the refreshing liquid while she attempted to make a decision on what she wanted. Now that Cassiopeia was out of the house, she was glad to be doing something a bit more productive than laying in bed all day. Granted, she wouldn’t have completely regretted doing that either.

Willow Jones

Location: The Diner

Willow sighed when the girl took off with her money. She looked back at the ruined paint on her car and tossed her school books inside her vehicle before running a hand through her hair. Her parents were going to be so upset but Willow wouldn’t have called the cops, even though her parents would have insisted. No, Willow wanted to help kids like that and it didn’t always require punishment, sometimes they just needed someone to listen to them. Willow moved to get into her vehicle when she saw Sierra waving at her, gesturing for her to come back into the restaurant. Well, she was already going to be late for school and in trouble with her parents, may as well play hookie for the afternoon.
Willow closed her car door and locked it again before walking back into the diner. She sent a quick text to her mom, letting her know that someone had keyed her SUV. She wasn’t going to say that some kid did it, that didn’t seem entirely right to Willow. ”Hey, do you think I could get another coffee? I know you are technically off now…” Willow said to Sierra when she walked back in. Clearly she knew what had happened to the car and the coffee wasn’t Starbucks grade but it would do for the moment.

There was definitely a lot to process here. So many things that needed to be vetted, and a lot of trust to be placed in a stranger. Maddy almost didn't want to believe it, any of it, but there was that nagging feeling inside him. A major "what if?" That lurked in his mind, telling him of how much he would miss if he chose not to at least go and see this possible new world. Another side of him warned of danger, not just the one coming from Villains like Maleficent, Jafar, or any others, but real danger that came from trusting a stranger. Unfortunately for him, his curiosity had already won out this battle, shrinking down any anxiety that may be holding him back and telling him not to go. He nodded as Colby spoke, glad to hear that he was on board with him in following her around. The more they could find out the better, and who was this mysterious missing person?

He looked towards Tinker and nodded with a stern smile. Ideas racing through his mind and filling it with wonderous imaginations. The thought of epic quest, daring sword fights, magic, wonder and more by the side of Colby; oh and some other kids too he guessed. The thought sunk deeper as he realized he had no real skills to call on for adventure. Just his mind to help solve puzzles or riddles, but he doubted that anything like that actually existed in the realm of adventure. Then again, he doubted fairytales were real until just a few moments ago. "Is it true she can shift into a dragon? Is Merlin really that old? Will we get to meet Alice and see the Vorpol sword?! And I still havent heard if that's a test or no to flying today." Maddy was already on his feet, ready to go and see this new world that had been unveiled before him.

Jack Gold

Location: the Orphanage

He nodded his head somewhat, listening to what Gretchen had said when he had asked about the victim. The guy was around, somehow, 15 years ago when they had been dropped off at the orphanage in the first place. That was definitely a strange coincidence of all things to happen. What were the odds that some guy who had apparently been there the day they had popped up, would end up probably murdered at the very same orphanage. There were just way too many coincidences here to make any real sense at all.

Jack glanced over, and before he could say anything about the vial, Megan had already picked it up and seemed to be smelling its contents. "Should you really be smelling some weird vial that you have no idea what's actually in it? Who knows what could have happened, but whatever, I'll take your word on it potentially causing the burn marks and everything." He then looked over at Isabella as she mentioned going to the security room, that probably was the best idea for them at the moment. See if maybe there was something on tape.

Rosalia Rider

Location: the Streets
Skills: N/A

Rosalia still wasn't too sure what all to make of the man standing in front of her. Sure, the fireball trick was kind of cool, but that was all that she had really seen from the guy. Everything else about him was still a mystery, aside from the fact that supposedly he was the wizard Merlin from freaking Camelot and the King Arthur stories. Now he was going on about being able to "restore" their memories. Uh hello? She had been like, 3 years old when she had been left at the orphanage, what memories would she even have of that?

"You can restore memories from when I was like, 3 years old? Seriously, no one ever remembers when they were that young," she said with an eye roll towards him, before turning to address Annabelle. "I can also handle myself sweetie, so how about you don't try to order me around. Your choice if you want to walk away, I at the least am somewhat curious and want to hear out the lunatic out of sheer boredom as I have nothing better to do."

Wichita Kansas Streets:

Merlin looked at the two girls for a moment still thinking that he was probably some kind of crazy person, sighing slightly to himself he then started to think that restoring some of their memories when they were younger would do the trick. "I know it does sound very crazy and everything but I am actually telling the two of you the truth. And the two of you are in danger right now as well." Merlin said to the two of them.

"There is a way to jog your memories a little bit." Merlin said, his hand started to glow a little bit and then leaned forward pointing his hands at both Rosalia and Annabelle. They both would start to see visions of them when they were younger and as really young kids, and seeing their actual parents there.

Wichita Kansas, Orphanage:

Isabella looked at Megan as she sniffed the vial which was really weird for her to see, and she had to agree with Jack that it wasn't really a smart idea, but she kept her mouth shut for now. Gretchen looked at Meg as well, she had smelled and did occasionally help change a few diapers here and there so she had done a lot of the nasty stuff. "Anyway follow me I can take you guys to the security room." Gretchen said as she turned and headed into the building again.

Isabella looked at the two of them, before following the older woman inside there wasn't anything else of note outside of the orphanage at the moment. She followed shortly behind the elderly woman until heading into a room, seeing the building's only security guard on duty right now eating some lunch. They would be able to see all of the cameras in the building even the one that was pointed right at where the scene of the crime was.

Wichita Kansas Oak Park:

Tinker looked at Mathew when he asked more about Maleficent and shuddered slightly knowing what she could actually do and nodded towards him. "Yes she can change into a dragon, her daughter is also one of you as well." She said, as she stood up and then looked over towards the park's exit and waved the two of them to follow her. "Follow me." She said as Tinker started to make her way there, she nodded at Matt when he asked if Merlin was really old. "Yes he's very old and crusty." She said.

"I haven't seen Alice in awhile been here this whole time." She said as she took out a pair of keys and then made her way towards an old looking car and got inside of it. "And yes I drive, have to blend in and not fly around." She said looking at the two boys for a moment and waited for them to get inside.

Wichita Kansas, Motel:

Outside of the room there was a maintenance guy cleaning the hallway some music was playing pretty loudly as he was vacuuming the floor, when Pandora could see a door opening and then slamming it which was coming from the room Pandora could hear from. It was a younger boy who was probably five years younger than she was, shoving his hands into his pocket.

There was two vending machines that was there, and he started to look at the selection of snacks and drinks finding what he wanted he paid for a drink and then went to the snack machine. Only for it to jam, the boy started to groan as he punched the machine a little bit and gave it a few hard shakes, but nothing came out.

Sierra Finley

Location: The Dinner
Skills:

Sierra looked towards her friend Rose and nodded towards her. "Sorry." She said, she didn't really know Mab at all other than seeing her and usually Rose taking the table she was on. She bit her bottom lip for a moment when Rose mentioned the letter and sighed slightly, Sierra usually liked to keep it private but there weren't to many people in the room at the moment which was good the diner was pretty much dead right now.

"It is really weird, I still think that its a really sick joke that this person is pulling though.." Sierra said when she looked up seeing Willow coming in and smiled towards her new friend, Willow would have been able to hear what they were talking about. "Of course, on the house and really sorry about what happened to your car by the way." She said towards Willow seeing the kid keying it. She got up from where she was sitting and went over to the coffee maker and started to pour her a cup of coffee. "Here it's on the house, and if theres anything you want me to do to help let me know." Sierra said as she went to sit back down.

Layla Hood

Location: Chinese Restaurant
Skills:

Layla sat down at the table and stretched out slightly as she looked down at the menu for a moment as she started to think what she wanted to eat while looking up at her twin and smiled slightly. "True, we can do that then." She said as she looked at the waiter who had came over to their table. "What can I get you two to drink?" He asked, Layla thought for a moment as she rubbed the back of her neck slightly. "Just a coke please." She said, as the waiter looked over at Cassiopeia on what she wanted to drink.

"I'll probably just get some kind of soup, I'm not sure yet though." Layla said as she leaned back looking over at the restaurant seeing the other people who were there. There were a lot of other people who were there enjoying their lunch at the moment, as Layla looked back at her twin, still thinking about the letter. "So what are your thoughts on the letter still should we look into it or something?"

Mab raised an eyebrow in surprise. This woman had gotten a letter as well? That felt incredibly unlikely. They had thought that there couldn't be many other people who got a letter like this, but this was odd. Maybe, they considered, everyone in town had gotten a letter like this, but that still wouldn't explain how they had known their name. Thanking Rose for the food, she nodded and said, "Thanks," before biting into it.

"This is all too weird." Mab said, talking through their food. They were endlessly curious about this now, and they wanted an explanation as soon as possible. "Rose and I were thinking of heading over there today to find out what's going on, would you want to join us?" They asked. This still didn't trust Sierra very much, but the more that went, the less they had to worry about, they wagered. If this was something really bad, they figured ti'd be harder to take down three people than it would be to take down two.

Pandora Quill

Pandora listened carefully, hearing the sounds of an angry child. Ones she knew all too well. She found her target at the vending machine, anger almost coursing through them as they tried to get a snack but was coming up short. "I find kicking it sometimes works, but only in the right places." She came over, looking at the wares but was unimpressed with the selection.

"Not many good options here anyway. I could help you get in if you help me. Distract the maintenance man and I can see about getting the machine open. Your choice." Pandora patted her pocket where her lockpick was. She didn't quite know why she was helping the kid, but something in her told her she would understand later. A nagging feeling in her mind.

Hopefully, the kid would go along with it. She would unlock the machine once the guy was distracted. She didn't need the police here on top of all the other crap happening today.

🗡️ Megan Pendragon 🗡️

Location: Orphanage

"Do I question your methods, detective?" she shot back at her brother. She had gone through undergrad and then medical school - Megan felt entitled to take a few risks every now and then. If she died of cancer one day because of it, then that was just the price she would have to pay. She wasn't about to call OSHA from hell and inform them to open up an investigation. She stood up from her crouched position, ensuring that the vial was firmly sealed before heading with Jack and Isabella to the security room.

Conveniently, one of the cameras was pointed at the scene of the crime. "Did this camera catch what happened?" Megan asked matter of factly. If it had, then their jobs would be made that much easier. She knew that her interest in this case went beyond the due diligence of solving a murder - answers to her past could be waiting for her. Or at the very least, there was someone attempting to manipulate her and she would rather bring them out into the light rather than let them continue to pull strings from the shadows. She didn't like the idea of being someone's plaything.

Annabelle Lafeyette

Annie blinked in surpise and backed up. "What are you...?" She began, her voice trailing off. Her eyes widened as as the man's hands began to glow, like some kind of wizard. Images began to fill her head. A strange, forlorn castle. A woman, enchanting in her presence, with the power to bend things to her will. The sickly sweet scent of flowers. A pool, so clear, so still, one couldn't tell if the rocks at the bottom were one foot beneath the surface, or a mile. Like dreams come to life before her eyes.

The man was right about one thing, Annie was in danger. This man was, he was- crazy!

"You're- you're crazy." Annie walked backwards, shaking her head in disbelief. These things were impossible. She wasn't sure what was going on, but she had to leave. This was too much.

"You're crazy!" She called out, louder, pointing a finger accusatarily at the mind. Sharing a panicked glance with the girl from earlier, Annie scooped up her dog Doug and hurriedly began to rush away, back towards her house. Chills ran up and down her spine as her mind rushed to figure out a logical explanation for what she had just seen and felt.

Cassiopeia Hood

Location: Chinese Place -- Wichita, Kansas
Skills:

”Mmm soup. I’ll have a coke as well,” she informed the waiter before looking back at the menu. She flipped through it a couple of times. ”I think I’ll have some sweet n sour pork with chicken chow mein and noodles,” Cassiopeia declared. She settled into her seat and looked around the restaurant. This place did well, despite the lack of it seeming busy. Most of their business was take-out Cassiopeia imagined. Which was smart since a major disadvantage about eating in was having to sit in a restaurant that smelled amazing but you didn’t have anything to eat yet.
Cassiopeia pushed around some sugar packets, rearranging them in the dish by colour while she thought about her twin sister’s proposition. ”Maybe we should. I don’t know what good will come of it though. Not like our parents were ever around to begin with. What use is it getting information on them now.” There was a bit of an edge to Cassiopeia’s voice but it was filled with a tiredness. She had longed to know who her true parents were when she was younger but as the years passed, she gave up on the idea of. Whoever they were, gave up on them so what was the point searching for someone who obviously didn’t want to be found.

Willow Jones

Location: The Diner

Willow smiled a bit at Sierra and nodded, thanking her for the free coffee. She leaned against the back of the booth she had been sitting at but didn’t take a seat. She was a bit on edge still from what had just happened and the fact that she was now skipping school. Maybe caffeine wasn’t a good idea to consume. Willow overheard the group talking a bit and couldn’t help but tune in, a distraction would be nice for her.
Sierra came back over and Willow took the coffee from her graciously and took a small sip of the black liquid. The harsh taste soothed her quickly and now she needed to add some sugar to it. She moved around to the table, setting the cup down and grabbed a couple sugar packages. ”A letter?” What was so strange about getting a letter? Of course, Willow had gotten a strange letter today but what were the odds of two strange letters. Willow had nearly forgotten about that strange letter, speaking of danger and birth parents. She still needed to talk to her parents about that.

"Oh don't get me wrong. I firmly believe this could be a wild prank, but three of us getting the exact same letter? I need to check it out." Rose frowned. She was thankful the place was mostly empty. But when Willow came in she gave her a smile and a nod. She felt bad that the girl's car had been keyed and here they were chatting like a couple of detectives.

Rose pulled the letter out again and glanced at it. Detectives? Maybe they should report it to the cops. It could be some trap. The three of them were attractive, maybe it was a set up for kidnapping. They definitely needed to go as a group because they could better defend that way. "If we do go we should have someone expecting us when we leave. I don't want to go and not have someone know where we went." It wasn't just because of the letter mentioning they were in danger.

"Wait you've been here in our world this whole time? Watching us?" That was unsettling. Colby climbed into the back seat of the car. He'd let Mathew have the front. And chewed on his thumb knuckle a bit as he thought. "How many other fairy tales are there? Like in the group of us? Do we know the other ones? I mean have I met Malificent's kid for example?"

What were the odds? "Also why now? Why not six months ago? Or in a year?" Six months ago he wouldn't have given a second thought to running away to a fairy tale world. Now he had backed off a bit of his bitter resentment at his parents...adoptive parents. It wasn't their fault, not really. Colby was a cat. He was the son of the Cheshire cat apparently. He was still having some issues wrapping his head around that idea

Matthew Madigan

Location: Oak Park > Car

Matthew fiddled with his thumbs as his head spun more and more questions. He didn't want to assault her with a barrage of inquiries yet there was still so much that he didn't know, so much he needed to know. His leg shook slightly as he stood, anticipation and anxiety running rampant throughout as he awaited for Tinker to lead them towards a new world of adventure. The thought alone of a woman who could transform into a dragon and breathe villainous lime green flames was unnerving to say the least. But it also made him curious as to if her child could do the same, and did other children inherit such powers from the world of fairytales? His story was that of wonder yet to his knowledge his father wasn't one with a lot of power per se. Then again depending on the tale he did make tea time permanent so that he would never advance past that time. Maddy stopped walking for a beat as he tried to wrap his mind around the idea of warping and altering time.

A few seconds later and he shook his head clear of those thoughts and back on more tangible things, such as the Vorpal Sword, or pet Jabowacky, the idea of fighting back to back, side by side, with a child of Arthur and the legendary excalibur in his hand while Maddy wields the Vorpla Sword; fighting off Maleficent and having Colby use his powers of disapperation to land the final blow. A small smile crept up at the corner of his lips before he sat down in the car. "I-I'm sorry for all the questions but...how old are you? How long do pixies live? And most importantly how does time work in Arcadia versus here? Is it a one to one ratio? Is one day here 30 over there? And how exactly does one get there? I've never seen it on any map." Maddy wasn't so sure about their seating arrangements, but he took the passenger seat none the less, taking the hint from Colby.

Jack Gold

Location: the Orphanage

"Whatever you say Doc," Jack said with a bit of a chuckle and shaking his head. The sort of stuff his sister did made absolutely no sense to him, but he figured he might as well trust her on what it was that she said. Sure, he knew that sniffing random chemicals when you had no idea what they were was a bad thing, but he knew that Meg knew what she was doing (for the most part) so if she said not to really question what she was doing, he would stop asking about it.

He followed after Isabella, Megan and Gretchen to the security room. Glancing around, the room, he saw that apparently the orphanage had more then a few security cameras, though that did make some sense considering they kept an eye on kids, so he didn't say anything about that. "How about instead of asking whether or not it managed to catch on camera what happened and just have it show us. Since let's be honest, we might as well get on with it. If it caught anything it'll be in the system, so mind pulling that up for us?" he said, nodding towards Gretchen slightly at that.

Rosalia Rider

Location: the Streets
Skills: N/A

Rosalia gave Merlin another weird look as he showed her a few of her memories, long forgotten as she never wanted to remember anything about her childhood as for the most part it had not been a pleasant one. She remembered her mother and father, vaguely anyway, as well as a sun looking symbol appearing in more then one place where she was. There was however, another thing that came up that she hadn't thought of before, more or less remembered. She saw her parents, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider of all people, there with Merlin, talking to him about sending her to Earth. It couldn't be a real memory could it?

She sort of just stared at Merlin for a moment, before she noticed what Annabelle was doing, and a part of her wanted nothing more then to take off away from Merlin and follow after her. However, there was something else that made her stay put where she was, her sense of survival seemed to disappear, replaced with curiosity. What if he actually was telling the truth? It sounded impossible, but a part of her wanted it to be true. "...I don't trust you, and find it hard to believe you, but I'll hear what you have to say." she said with a shrug.

Wichita Kansas Streets:

Merlin looked at Annabelle seeing that she was actually freaking out, and started to call him crazy and started to back away from him he could understand it. He was about to get up from where he was sitting in the car, seeing her running away Annabelle would end up bumping into a street side mailbox that was close by, which would bruise pretty badly and trip as well. Merlin looked over at Rosalia, he knew he'd have to build her trust up as well. "I assure you that I am on your side Rosalia." Merlin said.

He started to make her way over towards Annabelle, seeing her on the ground and tried to reach down and help her back up to her feet if she would let him. If she didn't want his help or threaten to or call the police on him he would have to back away looking over at Rosalia for a moment. "Let me help you please." Merlin said to her.

Wichita Kansas, Orphanage:

The security guard at the station looked at the three of them and then at Gretchen, who gave a slight nod towards her. "Sure thing." He said, as he started to bring up the camera feed for last night. They would be able to see the man from earlier running away, and then they would be able to see a woman in the camera. They were talking, however the camera didn't have any kind of audio, she hurled a green fireball at the man that was their John Doe before walking away into the distance.

"Well that's a little bit weird." Isabella said, leaning up against the wall while looking at everyone in the room, and then over at the security guard. "Are there any other cameras near that scene?" She asked, him and the guy shook his head slightly towards her. "Nah, there isn't anymore on the side of the building sadly." He told her.

Wichita Kansas Oak Park:

Tinker started up the car and looked over at the two boys with her as she started to drive down the road, she started to think for a moment at Colby's question and nodded. "Yes we've been keeping an eye on you all in case something did happen." She said, as the car stopped at a red light.

"The others are Maleficent, Ariel and King Erik, King Arthur and Queen Guinevere, Robin Hood, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, Rumpelstiltskin, Aurora and Phillip, Morgana Lefey and Little Red Riding Hood." She said as she continued to drive again while looking ahead of her on the road. The resistance has been growing over the years now, enough that they could fight back again, but Maleficent knows that you are all here now as well, so it is time to bring you all back." Tinker told him. "Time moves differently than it is here, it's a little bit slower than it is here on Earth, and Arcadia is a completely different world outside of here, it's hard to explain. And we are very old, and have long lifespans as well" Tinker said

Wichita Kansas, Motel:

The boy looked over at Pandora as she came over towards her, crossing his arms over his chest as he thought for a moment, letting out a sigh, while looking at the pocket she was patting at. "Sure I can, sounds like a bit of fun." He said looking at the lock to the machine for a moment, it would need a key to get in easily. He was bored and didn't really have anything to do and he was a little bit annoyed as well to.

"I'll be back." He said as he started to walk forward towards the janitor who was still busy cleaning the floor, and started to make some small talk to the guy while still blocking his view of the vending machines. He didn't make eye contact with Pandora while he was focused on distracting the man, leaving Pandora alone to tend to the machine.

Sierra looked at Willow for a moment when she asked about a letter, biting her lip slightly forgetting that they were kind of talking about it in the open and nodded. "Yeah got some weird letter earlier today about birth parents and being in danger or something." Sierra told her, feeling like it was harmless at the moment before turning her attention over towards Rose and Mab when they asked if she wanted to go with them to see if there was something that they could look into and investigate.

"I don't really have anything going on today, if you two want me to go sure." Sierra said smiling slightly as she thought for a moment before getting up. "Let me get my coat real quick." Sierra said, forgetting that she had left it in the breakroom and made her way back to grab it, before coming back and sitting back down.

Layla leaned back in the chair as she smiled towards their waiter before turning her attention over towards her twin sister and nodded slightly. A part of her wanted to think that it was all just a really weird and sick joke, but also another part of her was really curious about their birth parents as well. "Well we can look into it together then." Layla said smiling towards her sister, as their waiter came back with their drinks. "Can I get your orders now or are you still looking?" He asked the two of them.

"I'll have some miso soup then." Layla said towards him as she handed the menu over towards their waiter, he nodded towards Cassiopeia and took her menu as well before leaving to tend to other customers. Layla ran a hand through her hair slightly while looking over at her sister. "Soooo, meet any cute guys?" Layla asked teasing her a little bit just to change the subject.

🗡️ Megan Pendragon 🗡️

Location: Orphanage
Skills: N/A

Megan rolled her eyes slightly at her brother - she didn't see the harm in asking if they managed to catch the event on the security footage as opposed to asking to see the security footage from that timeframe, but evidently he figured it was a big enough of a deal to make a fuss over. Of course, she imagined partially it was because they were siblings - sibling rivalry and all dictated that they couldn't get along too much, and since they lived together, little spats had to happen from time to time. Of course, her attention was soon captivated by the images on the screen. There was no sound, but a woman with the most exquisite Maleficent cosplay she had ever seen was speaking with their John Doe. And even more surprisingly, the man died from a fireball that seemed to come out of nowhere. "... We'll need a copy of this footage, please."

Her mind was instantly racing. It was just about the weirdest (and arguably coolest) homicide investigation she had ever had the honor to be involved in. A Disney superfan murdered an unknown individual at the orphanage she, her brother, and the other detective on the case had all been adopted from... the same day they received mysterious letters claiming to know about their birth parents. Isabella struck her as far too nonchalant for a situation like this. "Have you seen that woman before?" she asked. There had to be a scientific explanation for that fireball, one she figured she could arrive at once she took the sample back to the lab to analyze.

Mab gave a slightly annoyed look over to WIllow, as she'd joined in on their conversation. "Yes." They said shortly, but nodded at Sierra's explanation. They frowned for a moment though, "Rose is still on her shift, don't we need to wait for you to finish up her?" They looked at their friend. They wouldn't be going without them for sure, but if Rose was down to skip work, they'd be fine with that. "As for people expecting us back, could you maybe let your boss at the bar know, and that if you're not back, to call somebody?" That seemed like the best option to them, but if Rose wasn't working tonight, they'd need to come up with something else.

In any event, they needed to finish their food, so they got to that. Not wanted to scarf it down, they ate quickly, but deliberately. As they swallowed down a gulp of tea, they wiped their mouth and said, "The sooner we can get there, the better for sure, but leaving now compared to a few hours from now isn't the end of the world, I suppose." They wanted to get there and find out what in the hell was going on, possibly more than anybody else, but they couldn't reasonably expect Rose to ditch her shift. As they finished off their food, they rested their gaze at Rose, hoping to her that she'd be able to somehow get off early.

Pandora Quill

Location: Wichita, Kansas - Motel
Skills: Lockpicking

Pandora watched as the kid did as she asked, distracting the janitor. She quickly pulled out her lockpick and got to work on the machine. She struggled at first, slipping a bit and cursing under her breath. It almost didn't seem worth it to her, but she also had a sense of pride in her work. So she tried again, feeling the tumblers inside click in place and releasing the door. She held it shut so it didn't swing open, in case the janitor looked over here. She gave the kid a thumbs up to let him know he could stop and come back.

She reached inside to pick her own prize, settling on a candy bar. She bit into it with relish as she waited for her friend to return. Once he did so, she allowed him the spoils. "Take your pick kid. Thanks for the assist." She finished her bar before she threw the wrapper away. "Couldn't help hearing your argument with your folks. Hard not to with these walls. Everything cool?"

Annabelle Lafeyette

Witchita Kansas Streets

Annie was backing up, dragging her distracted dog along with her. In an attempt to escape she turned to run- the first time she had ever really ran away from something dangerous in her life, and immediately her side was poked by a steel corner of a mailbox. It hurt, a lot. She felt the thing push her skin inwards before Newton's third law dictated that she should now be bouncing off, and that in conjunction with her already off balane state brought the young spinning to a landing on her butt.

"Oww!" She complained, grimacing. Doug looked at her confused, and suddenly being on the ground with the man approaching her flicked off the rational part of her brain. It was time to commit. From her perspective there was nothing to be gained from staying here any longer. She wanted to get home where it was safe and go back to college and live out her normal life. This man was an intrusion on her world.

"Just stay the Hell away from me!" She shouted, voice cracking, scrambling to her feet. Her dog ran along side her as Annie fled down the street. After a moment she rounded the corner and slowed down to a jog, breathing heavily and making sure no one was following her. She had broken line of sight with Merlin at this point. Soon she was back on her block and her house was insight. With a sharp intake of air she put on hand on the rapidly purpling bump on her side. Now she didn't know what to do. Should she call the cops? Embarassed at the fact that she had left that little girl to fend for herself, and angry at the man who had caused her so much discomfort, Annie fetched the phone from her pocket and jabbed her thumbs on the buttons for 911.

Matthew Madigan

Location: Car
Skills: N/A

Matthew began to wonder about each child that was mentioned, who they could be within their town, had he known them in the orphanage or did their paths never cross? How old were all these kids and how exactly would they appear back in Arcadia? Colby was the child of Chesire, yet he looked nothing like a cat; though his mannerisms are very much akin to one. If one is half mermaid did that make them one quarter fish? Could they swap from land to sea and gain fins? Or did they simply gain gills to help them breathe? The son of Arthur must be some cool jock guy who's good at everything. Of that much he was certain. Rumplestiltskins child...was it truly his? Or one stolen from another? Were they as mischievous and cunning? The mere idea of having to care for the hair of Rapunzels kid was...exhausting. His own hair was a mess itself and it probably paired no one near in comparison to hers.

His mind continued to wander around and think of all the possible traits and personalities of each and every child. Whether he may get along with them or simply keep arms distance. It's true that they weren't raised by their parents, but perhaps some of those traits carried on. After all if people can travel dimensions and turn into dragons, why couldnt blood hold more magic than what is known on earth? Maddy wasn't quite sure how he felt about the fact that time moved slower in Arcadia. Faster he could deal with, he has a job after all, but slower...he could be leaving Carroll alone for months without even knowing it. How could he be so selfish? They need him back at the shop and may not be able to suffice being down a person. But this is his parents they're talking about...but is it truly worth it? Maddy began to bite his lower lip as he thought on, weighing the sense of adventure, magic, and wonder, to his loyalty and duty to his job and customers.
