Marin sighs and her features shift and mold until she’s in her natural form. She sighs. “I’m sorry. Emily was kidnapped, taken against her will according a predestined condition her parents had agreed to. Please don’t blame them, they were only doing what they saw fit for the fate of your town.”

Jason just about flew into a rage. It was understandable though. He was on his feet. He looked like he was ready to hit something. He felt that they had no right to do that, that no one did. Her parents had always been selfish, he thought.

Marin stands. “Hit me.” She spreads her arms out, prepared to surrender her body to his rage.

Jason looked at her. He narrowed his eyes at her. He raised a fist. However....

His fist hit a nearby tree instead. He winced in pain, but remained angry.

Marin had closed her eyes, and when she hears his fist make impact but feels no pain, she opens her eyes with a frown and looks at him. She sighs softly and tears the lining of her shirt out and wraps his knuckles. “Why? I’m despicable, and I’m not even human. I deserve to be punished.”

Jason frowned. He tried to take his hand back. He muttered something about not hitting a girl. He sighed afterwards. He did not look at her either. He continued to frown and look angry.

Marin doesn’t let his hand go until she’s done, growling softly. “Stay still!” She sighs and drops his hand when she finishes, and she huffs a dry laugh. “I’ve been hit before, Jason. Not only am I used to it, but please. I beg you, I need it.”

Jason shook his head. He continued to try and take back his hands. 'never hit a girl' het muttered. He was determined to continue following that personal rule, or what seemed to be one anyway.

Marin scowls and shifts into a burly man. “Better? Do it!”

Jason shook his head again. He still refused. He would not do it.
"I know you just changed physical appearance, but are truly female."
He turned away from her for a while.

Marin growls softly. “I’ll show you where she is if you hurt me.”

Jason narrowed his eyes. He backed away. He shook his head.
"I have trouble believing THAT."
He frowned.
"I don't hit without being provoked and I do not hit girls. that is that."

Marin frowns and looks down with a sigh. “Alright. You win. I don’t understand your reasoning, but you win.” She looks up. “I’ll consider helping you free her, but I must warn you. The man keeping her is very powerful; you alone won’t be enough to help her.”

Jason sighed.
"I will do whatever it takes to get her back."
He pulled out something from his left jacket pocket. It was a small ring box.

Jason narrowed his eyes. He sighed. He opened the ring box. Inside was a wedding ring with a tiny diamond on it.
"This is what is inside."
He closed the box after that.

Marin sighs with a frown. "I'm not human, and I know nothing of your customs," she explains.

Jason sighed.
"it's a ring. one uses a diamond ring when they intend to propose marriage."
Jason frowned. He stuck the box back into his jacket pocket.

Marin's eyes widen slightly. "Oh." She frowns in thought. "Does my lord need a ring if he is to marry Emily?"

Jason sighed. He was actually nice enough to explain the marriage customs of mortals in his and Emilys' culture, especially the ones regarding the wedding ring. He took a breath when he was finally finished. He sighed again a bit. He wanted Emily back safe. However, his eyes gone wide when he heard her words about someone marrying Emily and his anger increased once again.
