Runa Johansson

Location: Hotel Valhalla
Skills: N/A

"I'm fine," Runa told Nadia - it was the truth. She was no longer confined inside of that small cramped space and already, her nerves were beginning to calm. She wasn't entirely anxiety and fear free, due to the situation that they were in, but her knees weren't trembling and she didn't feel like she was about to collapse. She glanced at Klara as Klara emerged from the elevator, noting that Klara looked a little bit angry, and Runa's mind instantly suggested that Klara was angry at her. She had no reason for the thought, it wasn't bound in logic or reason, but Runa couldn't shake it all the same and she quickly looked away.

Dalisay took the lead, finding a trail of blood and identifying the door that the killer had gone through. Despite telling Nadia she was fine, Runa's stomach flip flopped in anticipation. Runa waited a moment for those more keen on searching to head on, before joining the others, more or less making up the rear of the group. She didn't really know what she was doing, she was just a kid, she'd never tried to find a murderer before.

Nadia looked towards Klara as she started to rant a little bit, she sighed slightly even though she wasnt inside of the elevator luckily like the others were. "Sorry Klara." Nadia said softly she looked towards Dalisy as she started to follow the blood trail that led towards the arcade room that they found not to long ago before trying to get the others out of the elevator. She took a moment and looked around the room. Seeing various arcade games and machines, there were a few throughout Valhalla and had been to some of them before. This one she wasn't really familiar with at all.

"Alright then lets all stay close and see where things are." Nadia said, Dailsy would see a blood trail leading over towards a nearby wall when Loki appeared in front of all of them and gave them all an evil smirk as he turned to wave at Runa. "It's good to see you again Runa." Loki said as he gestured towards the nearby wall where the blood trail had ended and waved his hand to reveal a door before disappearing again.

Arnora looked towards Runa and gently patted her on the shoulder and gave the girl a smile, she was glad that she was alright before turning her attention towards the others while looking over at Klara. "I'm sorry Klara." Arnora said, even though she was the only one to stay inside of the elevator to help Runa out. She quickly followed behind Nadia and Dalisy towards the arcade room, and started to look around before drawing out her axe when Loki suddenly appeared. "I was wondering when Loki was going to show up." Arnora said when she was about to try and take a swing before Loki disappeared again, she turned to look at the door and cautiously opened it.

Inside was an extremely huge version of the crane game with seven cranes and seven controls as well for them, inside were the missing Einherjar that presumed to have all been killed when Loki appeared again while looking to the others and smirked. "Play the game and win some prizes." Loki said gesturing towards a large pile of coins as well to in the corner of the room was the body of the attacker who ended up dying due to the blood loss.

Lara blinked as she looked into the room and paused a bit at that. What had Loki even done to the room, and what was this even? She had never seen anything like this before, having died well before the time of video games and game arcades. She looked around the room and noticed that there were seven controls, one for each of them. Hanging around were those that had been presumed to be killed, including Helgi! She then looked over to the coins and put her hands over her mouth seeing the lifeless body of another there.

Astrid's brows furrowed and her mouth drew taut at that point, as she also saw the lifeless body there. Apparently she had been too good, as their attacker was now dead, laying there having bled out. They probably wouldn't come back, as they were not a prize in the game. She didn't like this set up at all, as this was set up by Loki. Everyone knew that god did not play fair, and this game was probably rigged. "...What do you gain from this, Loki? Why have us gamble for those lives that shouldn't be hanging in the balance. You know they should be here, in the Hotel, not like this."

Lara walked over to one of the sets of controls and looked them over. It seemed simple enough, move the stick, press the buttons and try to get those Einherjar and others out of the game. She then walked over to pile of coins and then picked up one and took it over to the machine she had picked out and put it in the machine. It light up and made a cacophony of sounds that made her wince a bit at that point. She turned to the controls, and started working. It took a bit to get use to it, but soon, Lara had managed to pluck nine Einherjar out of the machines, and free them from their prison.

Astrid wasn't sure they should be so easily playing the game, but those lives were at risk, so once she got an answer from Loki she walked over to the pile of coins, picked one up and headed over to one of the unattended machines and put the coin in. She had played a few of these at the arcades back home, and she worked on carefully angling the crane. One, two, then soon eleven Einherjar were free at her hand. Sure, they were probably confused as to what had happened, but she didn't focus on that. She focused on getting all the ones in the machine she had picked out of the machine.

Dalisy looked around the room. She was frowning. She looked at Loki, "Well that was anticlimatic." She sighed. Dalisy really had hoped that it had been something different. She walked over to the lifeless body of the invisible person. They weren't invisible now. Dalisy hadn't realized that Astrid had hit them that hard with her spear. She had done a serious number on the person. So, it wasn't completely a trap.

She knelt down and pulled off the hood to get a good look at their face. She wanted to know who had knocked her down. Even if she might not get to punch them in the face anymore. She didn't recognize him. But he had a few tattoos that she knew were the symbol of Loki. "What was the point? A diversion maybe? Or was Dalisy hoping there was more to it when really everything was done at face value. She just didn't completely believe that.

"I mean get yourselves killed for all I care, doesn't really matter one way or the other to me if you all are going to be reckless and stupid about it, just don't rope me into it, not my fault literally no one seems to either listen or just decides to go into an area without fully knowing what's up there. Since you know, me saying go through the door as opposed to the roof was literally nothing and clearly just me thinking I'd stop and have a snack or something," Klara commented with an eye roll, clearly still more than annoyed with people for being stupid. Not her fault that apparently no one else seemed to take into account how big of an area that they were in. And weren't Valkyries or whatever supposed to be helpful in not getting them killed? Cause if it had just been her and Dalisy, that would have been fine, two people, bit cramped or whatever, but tolerable, but the instant a third person climbed up (cough cough, Astrid) then that amount of space got a lot smaller. An already tight space became smaller and made things a hundred times worse.

Of course, she fell silent now, more than a bit annoyed with everyone, and deciding to just more or less ignore their existences entirely. Klara just followed along after the others to where the arcade was, and unlike the others, she was not all that surprised to see Loki or something, or even really make a comment about it. She had seen him down the hallway, so she knew that he was here and probably messing with things, but she figured that if people weren't going to listen to her words of warning (despite her being one of the oldest ones of the group) then she figured she was better off staying quiet and just sort of leaning back, watching and waiting to see what happens.

Runa Johansson

Location: Hotel Valhalla
Skills: N/A

At Klara's harsh words, Runa burst into tears. She hadn't done anything to anger Klara, she knew that deep down, but her mind was feeding her insecurities and fears. It didn't help that Klara called them all stupid and reckless, declaring she didn't care if they died. Runa's tears were silent and she was still hiding her face from her, not wanting one of her closest friends to see how hurt she was - she knew the others probably saw her as weak and fragile, and she didn't want them to. She could handle things by herself.

Runa's eyes widened as Loki appeared in front of the group, singled her out, and waved. She didn't know how to respond or react to that. She had seen Loki before in the Hotel, but she had assumed that they wouldn't be seeing him again for a while. It was a magic hotel, couldn't they have added some sort of special warding or spells or something prevent him from coming back here? But even as she thought it, Runa realized it wouldn't have done much good. Loki was the trickster god for a reason - he would always find a way. She didn't know why he had revealed the door in the wall to them - it didn't make any sense that he would want to help them. It had to be some sort of trick, right?

The door opened and Runa's jaw dropped in horror. She could hardly comprehend what she was seeing. Why was Loki doing this? Why put the missing Einherjar inside of those machines? Why show them the bloodied body of the attacker? "What... why are you doing this?" she squeaked out. She bit her lip, tears still streaming down her face from the huge influx of chaotic emotions, as Runa played the game with trembling hands, freeing four people.

Nadia Petrova

Location: Hotel Valhalla, Floor 100 Arcade

Loki smirked a little bit as he stared at Runa, Dalisy and Lara as he watched some of them going to the controls and started up the game, as he slowly walked back towards the entrance of the room. "Why? Well this is a distraction of course, you know being trapped in a cave again and only able to project myself outside of the prison isn't that fun thanks to your cousin." Loki said while looking at Nadia as he started to back up slightly and smiled some more, staring at them. "I have friends who are freeing me as we speak while you are all still busy searching for your friends. I just did a few changes to the magic of the hotel so everyone would end up in here instead of their rooms."

Nadia glared at Loki as she took out her sword and then eyed the crane game for a moment as some of the others started up the game, and started to free the captured Einherjar. "Where are they going to turn up once freed from the game?" Nadia asked, hoping that none of them would end up disappearing for good. "They all will come back safely in the feast hall. Oh and also I left in a few little treats in there, so just be careful what you do grab. Oh and none of you can leave the room until you finish the game so i'll be seeing you all later." Loki said as he backed up out of the room and snapped his fingers and the door quickly closed behind them.

Nadia ran forward and tried to get the door open and winced a bit as she felt her hands starting to burn from touching it and backed up a bit seeing a few burns on her hands and glared. She made her way towards the crane game and started to look around seeing a few hundred Einherjar trapped. She wasnt sure what other tricks Loki had in the game itself which made her nervous as well to as Nadia grabbed a handful of coins and started her crane up managing to grab seven Einherjar all together.

Arnora stared at Loki as he started to explain what his plan actually was all along and made her clench her fists a little bit in anger as Loki started to slowly back up out of the room. She was about to charge forward towards the room, as Loki sealed up the room behind him, and Nadia going towards the door seeing the burns on her hands. Arnora sighed a little bit as she turned towards the body she inspected it as well and noted the Loki tattoos over the top of his hands. She had to assume that he was a child of Loki himself, but she didn't recognize the face at all either.

"I don't think we have much of a choice really." Arnora said as she looked at them all and crossed her arms over her chest and looked around the room to see if there were any kind of traps. She couldn't find anything and she wanted to get out of here as quickly as possible and save everyone to managing to grab eighteen Einherjar.

Dalisy stretched out her senses. Feeling out as far as she could pinpointing the place Loki was supposed to be held, prisoner. There he was still. Good. She looked at the Feast Hall and saw that the ones they had so far pulled from the crane machine were there as promised. Then her hand went to the necklace she wore. A gift from her father. A rare gem that connected to the Bifrost. With the gem she had better control and could easily use the Bifrost. However, when she reached out calling for it nothing happened. The connection wasn't there.

"Loki is still in his prison for now. And he is telling the truth about those we rescue are going to the Feast Hall. He also was telling the truth that we aren't going to be able to get out of here." She looked irritated about the last part. "The place is magically protected I can't access the Bifrost." Up to this point she hadn't used it because they had been following someone, and now she just couldn't use it. She glared at the crane game, trying to see if any traps caught her attention but she was more irritated that she couldn't punch anything. The dude she had wanted to punch was already dead which was useless to her. If he came back the next day she would enjoy hunting him down and punching him.

Lara was regretting that she had just run over to the strange machines, but it seemed that their fate had been sealed the moment they set into the room so she just focused on the game. As she was aiming for one of the souls, her hand slipped and the crane moved and triggered one of those traps Loki had mentioned. A crossbow fell from the game and shot off, the arrow piercing Lara in her shoulder. She let out a cry as she let go of the controls and put her hand over the wound. She cursed in Danish as she was feeling worse for wear at this point, having been attacked by wolves and now shot with arrows.

Astrid heard Lara cry out in pain and winced a bit at the sound of the arrow piercing flesh. She was going to offer help when she saw the other woman pull out a first aid kit, and then she sighed as she turned back to the machine. She was mentally cursing Loki over and over, even as Dalisy reassured them that he was still in his prison, as well as the truth that those that were rescued would return to the Feast Hall. Thank Odin for that. However the part about not being able to leave... that was worrying. At least they could leave once it was over, but who knew if that was true.

For the second time that same day Lara fished out her first aid kit and grumbled more. If she ever saw Loki, she was going to repay him for all the injuries that she had incurred that day on him, even if that meant trying to find a goddamn wolf to bite the god. She tugged the arrow out with another cry but managed to staunch the bleeding and bound up the wound before getting up and going back to her machine. "I swear... I'm going to punch Loki in the face when this is over..." She nearly growled out as she focused her rage into rescuing people and saved another twenty souls.

Astrid sighed a bit as she focused on the machine again and went about hitting the buttons and controlling the crane. She narrowed her eyes as she focused, and one became two, and she soon had freed nine souls from the crane machine. She pulled away for a moment to wipe her brow as she was still worried. Those traps could easily end her life, and she doubted that she would come back. She wasn't part of the hotel's magic.

Klara hated everything about this misadventure. She was still pissed off at the idiots for likely nearly getting them killed, and now she was just mad about the whole thing with Loki. How did this make for an interesting thing for him? Of course, everyone else decided to just go race up to the machine and start playing it, without taking a moment to survey the entire situation. Now though, she did feel a bit bad for making Runa cry, and she walked over to her and more or less whispered to her so only she could hear, "Sorry about that Runa... I didn't mean to make you upset... I was mainly referring to Astrid, and in a slight way Dalisy, not you... I'm sorry if I upset you..."

Her attention turned towards the machine, since unlike the others, she was more content with thinking this whole thing through. Examining the machine and it's contents without using it, yet anyway. She was currently trying to see anyway to make things go faster, before she eventually spotted it. A strange button looking thing that was a bit out of place, and she went to one of the sets of controls, and took control, as she moved it around and pushed the button, and somehow with all of that she managed to get 41 people out by herself. "Sometimes there are perks to stopping and thinking things through you know instead of rushing right in..."

Runa Johansson

Location: Hotel Valhalla

Loki's plan didn't make sense to Runa - if he was so powerful that he could do this while imprisoned in that cave, why did he need a distraction at all? She wasn't sure if any gods beyond Balder were looking into this matter too, so hopefully Odin had some valkyries stationed to stop Loki or something. Still, she knew so little about this world that Runa didn't feel like voicing these concerns - she didn't doubt that Loki was clever and tricky, he probably knew what he was doing, even if it wasn't obvious to her. But hopefully since it was just them trapped in this room, things would be okay. They couldn't be the only competent people in Valhalla, right?

"... It's fine ..." Runa mumbled to Klara, lying. She watched Klara's movements carefully, seeing how she found some sort of button on the machine and managed to save dozens of souls at once. Runa bit her lip slightly, her mind berating her that she was likely too stupid to replicate it, and she tried to do the same thing, pressing the button and moving the joycon around - and to her surprise, she managed to save twenty people. "... Someone else has to be able to stop him, right?" Runa then asked softly, looking at the others. "It can't be just down to us..."

"Hopefully Baldur and the other Thanes, are keeping Odin and the other gods informed about what Loki is doing, once we finish here we need to have a meeting with Odin I think and tell him everything, and i'm sure that the gods are keeping an eye on Loki's prison to." Nadia suggested as she moved over towards the controls again, seeing what Klara and Runa had done. She started to move the crane over to where the button was located. "Nice catch Klara." Nadia said towards Klara giving her friend a slight smile seeing that she found a way to get them out quicker.

Nadia started to move the crane but she ended up grabbing something on accident and realized that it was one of the traps that Loki had set up. Suddenly current was flowing through her controls and she ended up getting shocked rather badly which ended up getting her knocked back hitting the wall nearby. "That hurts like hell." Nadia said softly she ended up getting a few bad burns from the shock, as she groaned a little bit and stood back up again making her way back towards the controls she looked like she was still in rough shape after getting shocked like that.

Arnora watched as Nadia ended up getting shocked pretty badly and winced slightly seeing the burns that she had gotten from that. "Are you alright?" Arnora asked Nadia who needed towards her, Arnora turned her attention back towards the game as Klara managed to get some more out of the game which was really good. "Like Nadia said we need to meet with Odin and Baldur so that we can tell them whats going on and what we have found."

Arnora used the trick that Klara found out and moved her crane over towards the button and managed to get 31 one more Einherjar out of the machine without to much of an issue. Arnora looked towards the others for a moment, they were trapped in here until they got the remaining Einherjar out. "So do you guys have any idea what you all want to do once this is all finished here?" Arnora asked trying to make some small conversation.

Lara sighed a bit as she was struggling a bit to get people out of the machines, but she was focusing on that point, even as Arnora was trying to make some small talk. She did want to response, as she felt it would be too rude to just ignore her. "I think once I'm done with this, I'm going to go practice on some training dummies to get my frustration out, then have a good meal and a long bubble bath, you Arnora?" She smiled a bit to her friend as she managed to get eleven more people free, getting them closer to their goal of getting everyone out.

Astrid was still struggling more, getting a bit more annoyed at that point. She had a feeling that Klara was speaking about her, and that irritated her. Yes, Klara had a point, but Astrid had been more worried that if she hadn't done anything they would have seen her as a failure of a Valkyrie. If any of them had died on her watch, after she had promised the gods she'd keep an eye on them, she would have felt that she had betrayed her duty. As she got caught up in her worries, she nudged the controller the wrong way and picked up one of the traps. She barely had time to register what had happened until she got zapped by electricity, causing her to get burned. "FUCK!"

Lara heard the cussing and she frowned a bit. She would check on everyone that had gotten hit with a trap when this was finished, as she was sure that someone else would probably trigger another trap. That would most likely be her, as she was sure of it. She turned back to the game and then started focusing on catching people again. She soon freed twelve more people and she smiled at that as she gently went back to the game, and focused on that.

Astrid was now in a sour mood, especially after being shocked by one of the traps. She was not going to let Klara or anyone else get to her. She turned her focus back to the game, and then moved around the crane and then went and freed around twenty nine souls and she grinned at that. She didn't pause however, as she continued on, determined to save as many souls as she could.

This was stupid and annoying and Dalisy was bored with it. She didn't even want to do the stupid crane game. It felt too much like letting Loki win. However, the faster they got through it the faster they'd be out of there. "Fine, I'll give it a go." She said sighing and stepping up to the machine.

She let her Super Senses carry her, helping her avoid Loki's traps. She was able to get out fifty-two. She grinned. Thinking, that was more fun than she had thought it would be. It helped that she could avoid the traps. She hadn't particularly wanted to get zapped or anything. That left less than fifty, a quick count and it was only twenty-one left in the crane game.

Klara had to suppress the urge to burst out laughing at Astrid zapping herself. Some Valkyrie she's turning out to be, since she so far has technically put them in more danger and all by not using her head and rushing head first things, but she more or less ignored the button and got herself zapped by one of the traps in the crane game. So she didn't really accomplish much of anything for the moment, something that ,despite the situation they all were currently stuck in, she found hilarious, and she didn't really care what anyone else thought.

Of course, she needed to see about trying to use the crane again to grab the remaining people so that they could get out of there already. Moving the crane a little ways away now and moving it swiftly over to hit the button and to try and release more of the people stuck. Klara managed to get all but 4 of the people out, which meant that they were essentially just about done with the game, hooray. "Alright, we're about done here, that's great, now we might want to see about maybe focusing on getting out of here," she commented to the group.

Runa Johansson

Location: Hotel Valhalla

Runa winced sympathetically at the traps some of the others set off, especially as Nadia was shocked. "Are you okay?" Runa asked softly. They had freed almost everyone from the ridiculous game that Loki had forced them to play, and it couldn't have been that long, so Runa's nerves were more or less soothed. Everything was going to be okay. Loki wasn't going to escape. His plan wasn't going to come to pass. The gods could handle this - they were capable and wise. After this all blew over, life would go back to normal at Hotel Valhalla, she was certain of it.

Runa slowly but meticulously saved the last four einherjar, and the exit reappeared. She hesitated for a moment, worried that Loki might've put some trick on the other side, but everyone else today had been so brave - so she felt she had to be brave, too. Runa pushed the door open, startingly some einherjar on the other side with swords who had evidently been placed on guard or something. "Er.... hi?" Runa greeted uncertainly.

Nadia said jokingly towards her friend wincing slightly as she moved her hand a little bit. She reached down and started to try and heal herself from her injuries but couldn't really do much she silently cursed herself. Nadia was glad that Klara and Runa were able to release the remaining Einherjar free, and Runa managed to open the door. "Hi there?" Nadia said as the Einherjar started to lower their weapons again and started to relax when one of them spoke. "Sorry didnt even realize that there was a door at all." One of them said as they lowered their weapons.

"It's alright." Nadia said gently resting a hand on Runa's shoulder, they needed to go and meet with Baldur and Odin as soon as possible and anyone else there to. When one of the Einherjar entered the room getting the others attention and then looked towards the group of girls. "The others that had died suddenly all appeared in the feast hall." One of them said Nadia smiled slightly she was glad that Loki did actually keep his word she turned to look at Arnora's earlier question. "I'll probably spend sometime training really, or maybe relax and find some board games or watch some shows." Nadia answered her as they made their way towards the elevator.

"I'm going to go to my room and just take sometime to relax really." Arnora said towards Lara and smiled towards her as she started to follow shortly behind Runa and Nadia as the other Einherjar started to calm down now and that the news was true as well. "We need to go and see Baldur and Odin along with the Thanes as soon as possible." Arnora suggested as she looked over at Dalisy for a moment, she wanted to know if Loki was still there or not.

"Lets go down to the feast hall." Arnora said as she turned and started to make her way towards the elevator again before getting Dalisy's attention. "Is Loki still in his cage?" Arnora asked, she knew that Loki was able to project himself with his magic, but other than that she knew that he was still physically inside of his cave. Arnora then pressed the button as she called the elevator to come and pick them up at their floor.

Astrid was not having a good day, and if she had heard anyone laughing at her when she had gotten shocked she might have punched them. She had been scolded, shocked, shot, and just... What was being said bothered her. Why was she there if she wasn't doing anyone any good? She hadn't meant to ignore what Klara had said, just she had been concerned. Recklessness came with what she was sometimes. She was being prepared for Ragnarok, where she would fight with the other Valkyries, and one day she would be part of the hotel permanently, that she knew for sure as well.

Lara stepped away from the machine as they had gotten everyone out and she smiled a bit at that until a dull throb in her arm reminded her that a few of them had taken a bit of damage with those machines and traps. "Anyone need some first aid? I can do some better work now that we're not worrying about the others." She tried to offer a small smile as she looked around the room and noticed how everyone was reacting. She sighed at that and then walked over to Astrid first to check on her.

"I'm fine, go check the others." Astrid muttered to Lara, basically waving her off. "We should inform Balder and the other Thanes of what happened, and let them know whom did this." She walked off at that point and headed for the elevator where she saw Arnora hit the button for it. She leaned up against the wall, and rubbed her arms a bit. She could still feel a bit of the tingling in her body from where she had been shocked, and she was sure that she would be feeling them for a while. But she'd recover from that. Her pride? Not so quickly.

Lara frowned at Astrid's brush off and then when to check on the others. She did some cleaning of wounds and proper bandaging on those that needed, as well as did quick check ups on the others that had been shocked and treated their burns. Sure, they would heal quickly. Gods knew that if things were back to normal, it would be easier to die and come back completely recovered in their room. "Well, if no one else needed help right now, then we should all go and inform them." Lara followed the others to the elevator and then she smiled a bit as she relaxed while they waited. She was so thankful that she still could remember most of her first aid training.

"He was a few minutes ago." Dalisy said. "But I'm all for checking again since he is a slippery jerk." She ignored Lara as they walked to the elevators. She hadn't gotten hurt so there wasn't any point to respond anyway. Dalisy let the hotel fade away and focused on Loki. It took a moment. But he was still there.

Unfortunately, she caught a glimpse of someone approaching the door to Loki's jail just as it started to fade. "Shit!" She said and then focused again. This time she saw that the figure appeared to be a woman, but she couldn't get a look at their face because it was covered by a hood. "Heyyo! Someone is approaching Loki's jail right now. He's about to be released. I can't tell who it was though, some lady."

She was rather glad to have the door randomly appear again, so that they could get on with doing something, anything, aside from playing probably the dumbest sort of game imaginable. Of course, that's just how she saw their entire situation, and she'd prefer to try and stop whatever Loki was planning really. With or without the useless Valkyrie who was around, since she wasn't even sure how helpful Astrid actually was. Since as far as Klara was concerned, the only thing she'd so far accomplished was being reckless and nearly resulting in them dying by an elevator (despite her claiming she was thinking things through or something, not like she cared though) and her slowing them down in releasing the people and keeping them trapped in the room longer by not really attempting to get more people out of the machine with the button trick that she herself had figured out.

Klara walked out to where the others were now out in the hallway, and the group were talking about potential best course of actions. Sure, she could understand people wanting to go tell the ones in charge what was going on, but based on what Dalisy was saying, there wasn't any time at all to do that. "Well considering the fact that there doesn't seem to be time to go alert people, I think we should probably go stop the person potentially going to go free Loki. Feel free to go alert the gods or whatever, you can do whatever you want," she said, adding the last point more directly towards Astrid, since she was clearly still annoyed with her existence currently.
