Adaptive Nerve Firing: Allows a soldier to react faster to attacks. Boosting the soldiers Dodge that makes enemies miss more often.
Adaptive Bone Marrow: Allows a soldier to heal faster than normal and grants Drachen an immunity to Chryssalid Poison.
Appearance: Drachen is a rather large man, standing at six feet four inches with a heavy build. Thick muscles that would look more at home on a Heavy unit than a Duelist. His skin is darkly tanned from being outside so much, and is littered with numerous scars from various wounds over the years. On his back are a set of draconic wing tattoos that look surprisingly real. He's strangely hairless as well despite his ancestry.
Like the rest of him he's completely bald, whether by choice or not is in his file. Thick black eyebrows rest on a rather thick ridge, making him look angry and casting a small shadow over his eyes. Said eyes are a steel gray in color and slightly sunken. Between his eyes and lower down he has a block-ish nose. His lips are average, but hold a slight natural frown that gives his overall look to be angry.
Backstory: Drachen was born in Germany a year after the war for Earth was over. His name is kind of a give away on that along with some of a remaining accent. His younger years flew by in an unimportant blur until he joined up with the military. Schools didn't cover the Alien Invasion very well, a lot of hush hush details apparently. Here he learned a lot more on what actually happened in the war by checking records available in his off time.
During training he found that he preferred getting up close and personal instead of hiding a mile away to blow somethings head off. His size, endurance, and overall might, tended to win out over technique when it came to hand to hand. A few Veterans of the War that were still active compared him to a Muton. Although biologically his strength didn't compare to their brutish might. After learning hand to hand techniques he was moved on to learn the weaponry of a Duelist. Swords and throwing knives. Unfortunately the swords were simply too light and adding weight would make the weapon awkward and clumsy. So an axe was made with the same technology. Thankfully an axe tended to follow the same attack patterns as a sword minus drawing cuts.
Unfortunately, in his mind anyway, there weren't any Aliens around after all that training. It was basic patrols, hunts that came up empty, and more training. Well he trained on his own, going above and beyond the norm. Between orders he did everything he could to increase his strength, surpass his previous move speeds, and to hone his reflexes despite the Gene Mods active within his body. Hell the Adaptive Bone Marrow let him abuse himself to go even further beyond normal human standards.
Finally it was decades after the War and Humanity decided it was time to go Alien hunting through space. He didn't really understand the tech to traverse space, would they be in cryo like in the movies? Or did the ships just move that fast now that they could just...warp to the planets and go on the offensive? He'd find out soon enough.
Equipment: A high capacity, high caliber side arm (plasma weapon) with an advanced combat shield and advanced medical support technology and training.
Backstory: She came from the martian colonies. A girl of no great skill or authority. During her teenage years, she developed combats skills after joining the xcom. She fought her way into success through the training centers of xcom as well as the virtual reality simulations.
She is fierce and passionate at times. At other times, she is cowardly and afraid. She loves cats.
Appearance: She looks like a regular girl! she is brunette, somewhat short, fit, and shows her emotions on her face for all to see.
Helene's body is well-toned with lean muscles. Her white hair is always done up in a bun or a pony-tail and never lets it down in public. Every step she takes carries weight and the pride that her heritage and training has afforded her. A fearsome gaze hides the bright, energetic person behind the purple eyes. Extensive training and little time in actual combat has ensured that Helene's body is relatively spotless.
Helene was born five years after the official end of the Alien's invasion of Earth. Her grandfather, Stefan Weisser, was serving in the German Military when the conflict first started. At the time, he was a potential prospect for Germany's KSK but instead was recruited into XCOM shortly after the devastation of Berlin. Stefan served valiantly and with courage alongside his squad, nicknamed the "Grim Crows". However, Stefan's impact on the war was truly measured when he was one of the first candidates to successful undergo the testing for psionics. While some may call it a gift, Stefan was brought to some of the most brutal and intense fighting of the war in attempt to use his psionics to turn the tide. Helene's father was born on one of XCOM's base in the middle of the war, though due to security concerns he was forced to remain with his mother. The war ended and Stefan Weisser had managed to live through it all, taking over control of the family business after learning his father had passed away.
By the time Helene was born, Stefan had retired placing his son in charge of the business. Weisser Armaments took the brunt of manufacturing Earth's new line of plasma weaponry, using the experience and information from XCOM to produce the weapons on a wider scale. This, of course, afforded the Weisser family a life of luxury that many recovering from the war did not possess. Helene never wanted for anything in her life, though she often found herself enthralled in her grandfather's tales when he would tell them. It didn't matter the distant look he would get sometimes in his eyes, she wanted to be a hero just like him. That was why when Helene starting showing signs for natural psionic ability, she was overjoyed and happier than she had ever been. Her father enrolled her in a special school for other individuals like her. No matter the obstacle Helene fought her way to the top without regard for anyone else. The school was also charged with preparing the students for military service, as the demand for their talents were high. Helene proved to be a fearsome combatant with the image of her grandfather standing atop a pile of dead aliens encouraged her to push herself.
Helene didn't even hesitate going into military service at the end of her education, knowing that she had to do her part to defeat the alien menace once and for all. With top marks and at the top of her class, Helene was admitted into a program exclusive to psionics after completing her basic training. As part of the program, she was outfitted with two genetic modifications throughout her training. Higher density muscles meant she could jump, hit, and run faster than most. Bioelectric skin allowed her to sense when others were present or approaching, even release some of the electricity in short, controlled bursts. After her training was finally completed, she was shipped off to Mars to protect humanity's interests on the red planet. However, it was her first time being part of a squad that didn't possess her abilities. It was clear from over-hearing conversations that some of the regular grunts didn't think too highly of psionic power.
Luckily, her time in the colony of New Star didn't last long as she was transferred into a new unit with a new set of goals. It was time to strike back at the same aliens who had devastated Earth. The same enemies that her grandfather had fought and made him a legend. This time it would be the aliens on the defensive. She was going to uphold the honor of the Weisser name and forge her own legend.

Backstory: Growing up just a few years after the war was a bit rough. The area his family lived in was almost entirely destroyed. Other than being careful about alien and old war debris his upbringing was rather uneventful. He grew up and learned with his brothers and sisters, his parents worked construction and in the local factories whatever they could to help build their community back to their former glory.
However this was until the old alien weapon activated. A bomb that didn't go off in the initial invasion until an unknowing construction team set it off while excavating. 4 city blocks where vaporized instantly with the destruction enveloping another 5 blocks surrounding it. He was nearly an adult, he almost was caught in the explosion. Roman got out unharmed but the rest of his family where either caught in the initial explosion or died in the rubble with many others.
He enlisted right after this happened. Somehow he cleared the medical exams and went in to the heavy fighters first, but found his calling in a MEC suit. This time he didn't have to give up his arms or legs, however he still jumped at the chance for a brain implant that would better connect him to his suit but had a high probability of effecting his memory. With this and enhanced eyes he took on the role of a MEC suit operator.
Even with this he is still quiet around other people outside of combat and has difficulty understanding certain situations in social gatherings. His implant helps him excel in his suit but it dampens his humanity slightly. Along with this he still suffers from night terrors and sometimes extreme headaches or migraines. If you were to ask him why he took those experimental augments his answer would never change, "So others don’t have too."
A strong man with a strong build, blond hair and green eyes. he's not the best looking fellow but he knows what he is doing when it comes to the MEC suits. he stands right at 6 foot with more than a few scars adorning his muscled frame.
