A Beach Somewhere

Waves gently rolled onto the pebbly shore, bringing a drifting Pokemon with them. The Kabuto hadn't gotten any good directions from the Pokemon in the sea, so he reluctantly decided to try on land. But now that he had reached the shore, he had more problems. He wasn't sure what was a predator, or prey, or something in between that he could interact with peacefully. Trillo hid in his shell to observe his surroundings, looking just like an uninteresting rock... if rocks had two beady black eyes.

Sarah was doing work on her ranch. She attended to the pokemon and the pokemon eggs. An adoption event was due to happen just outside of town and she needed to get ready.

Sarah worked hard to make sure everything was ready and such before she left. She packed up the pokemon and eggs that were due to be adopted out. She made sure the ranch was in safe hands after that. Then, she began to travel to the location in question.

Faye loads up a box it had a wild Umbreon inside, his leg was finally healed up to release back into the wild. Faye opens the box and the Umbreon runs into the tall grass calling out for his mate. Faye knows the Umbreon’s mate is nearby as she picks up the box, she enjoys the sounds of Pokémon nearby. She packs up her stuff and heads back to town in her truck.

Sarah made sure the baby pokemon and the eggs were safe as she made her way to the event. She made sure to stay on the road. She did not move from the path as she drove along. She kept her eyes on the road ahead, as well as keep an eye out for any wild pokemon that may be passing through. She had her own team of six with her(a rapidash, a persian, a vaporeon, a jigglypuff, a gengar, and an alakazam), but they were all in their pokeballs at that time.

She could not wait until the event started.

When she arrived there, she got out of her truck and began to unpack everything.

A Special Event Somewhere

"Steeeep right up!" a man in a brightly colored suit barked. "Rare ancient Pokemon performing LIVE, for one day only! Feast your eyes on this AMAZING spectacle for less than the cost of a Super Potion!"

The man stood in front of a typical giant striped circus tent, but the entrance was shaded and painted to look like a mysterious cave. Inside the tent, the occasional tourist would see three very sturdy glass cages with Pokemon inside. One cage held an Arctozolt who did not appear to enjoy its freezing cage. Another held a Lileep who slept on the small patch of grass that was thrown into the box. The third held a Kabuto who swam in restless circles through the slightly murky water.

Trillo the Kabuto noticed another Pokemon walking through the tent - now was his chance!

"Excuse me, ma'am, do you know where-"

But the Pokemon turned away, unable to hear Trillo through the thick glass. Trillo had one second to be disappointed. Then he was startled by a pair of gleaming eyes right in front of him.

"Ya know they can't hear ya," the Sableye cackled as the spooked Kabuto reeled into the back of his tank. "You're gonna be here forevah, so it'd be bettah for all of us if ya just get used to it. Now do a backflip or sumthin', the kids love it."

The Sableye smiled a toothy grin and phased back out of the cage. She gave the shaking Kabuto another glare before slipping back into the shadows.

Faye parks her truck behind the Pokémon center, Eski her Ninetailes was scratching at the driver side door. A wild Espeon was beside Eski, before Faye could ask what’s wrong Eski runs off. Faye quickly follows Espeon and Eski to a circus tent, she starts poking around. She is shock by the Mythical Pokémon and how they were treated so badly.

The Sableye noticed a couple unfamiliar Pokemon sneaking around the display. When she saw a human intrude in the same place without permission, she knew something was up. The ghost scurried off to alert her partner. The fancy-looking man frowned and fiddled with his mustache as he began following the Sableye back to his tent.

Not Far Off...

Alan Moriarty and his Minnciao Pip watched the colorfully dressed showman with wonder, Alan sat quietly biting into his sandwich while Pip watched the showman with a glassy eyed look of astonishment and awe. "Minc!" Pip excitedly slapped his tail on the bench he and his trainer sat on. "You want to go watch the show Pip?" Alan asked in his soft voice that almost always sounded like a whisper. "Minn Minnciao!" his pokémon hopped up and down in response. "Okay let's go then!" Alan and Pip get up and the excited Minnciao hops along happily as they make their way over to the circus tent.

Faye leaves quickly as Eski niche her as someone is coming. She have to help the Pokémon after the show, maybe she meet someone to help her rescue them. She wonders what else the guy is hidden in the other circus attractions as she looks around as Eski and the wild Espeon walks besides her to watch out for any sort of trouble.

Sarah was still setting up when she sensed something amiss. That was when her gengar came out of his pokeball, again, without permission....again. She sighed. But, then she noticed the look in his eyes.

"What's wrong?"

Her gengar flew off in the opposite direction(towards the circus). Sarah gasped and gave chase.

"Stop! Wait!"
She ran after the ghost pokemon, and stopped when he stopped near a circus. She frowned, confused.

"What is going on? Why did you want to come here gengar?"

She glanced around a bit as Gengar started at some people, etc.

Sableye led the showman toward the spot where the intruders had lurked, but they had already left. The man narrowed his eyes. Then he offered a tiny gem to the ghost type, who gobbled up the treat.

"Good work," the showman said as he walked away. "Keep an eye out."

The man composed himself just in time to warmly greet a new potential customer.

"Well, isn't that a strong, smart little Pokemon!" the showman addressed Alan and Pip. "Surely the kind who would appreciate the wonders of Ringmaster Barley's show! For just 350 pokedollars, you two can visit the ancient past!"

"Minc Minc Mincciao!" Pip hopped up and down slapping his tail against the sidewalk, Alan smiled at his little friend then looked up at the ringmaster "Ye-yes sir we'd love to take a look right Pip?" Alan asked his pokémon to which Pip nodded "Minnciao" Pip stated. Alan was getting his wallet when he spotted the Gengar and glanced over as he got the money from his wallet.

Sarah blinked. Gengar would not look at her. Suddenly, the ghost pokemon was flying off again. But...they were heading for the other humans.

"Wait! Stop!"
Sarah shouted at her Gengar again, but he would not listen. He did not stop until he was near the humans, not looking too happy.

Alan whipped around facing the approaching Gengar, Pip jumped at the feet of Alan then looked up into his masters grey eyes. Alan nodded and they silently agreed "Sing Pip" Alan told his pokémon as his eyes followed the Gengar. Pip waited until the Gengar was within range and then began to sing a lullaby to the ghost type pokemon in an attempt to prevent conflict.

Sarah blinked. She gasped.

"Stop!"
She tried to stand right in front of her pokemon. then, her eyes began to flutter a bit. She swayed on her feet a bit.

Alan embarrassed at his brash behavior quietly told Pip to stop, Pip looked up at Alan confused by his master but compliantly stopped singing. Pip scampered to Alan's side looking at the woman with curiosity in his eyes. Looking at the sidewalk Alan didn't meet the womans eyes "I'm so s-sorry miss I didn't mean to u-upset you!" he said softly still looking at the ground.

Sarah swayed on her feet a bit more. She took a deep breath.
"trying...to stop....gengar.....my....pokemon."

Gengar showed concern for her, but then glared in the direction of the other male(the ringmaster).

Ringmaster Barley frowned at the newcomer and her Gengar.

"It might behoove you to teach your Pokemon some restraint," the man grumbled. Then he straightened his bow tie and turned back to Alan with a smile.

"Ahh, but no harm, no foul. That'll be 350 for the trainer and one Pokemon ticket."

With all the comotioon it scare the wild Espeon Faye drops her phone with the pictures of the mistreated Mythical Pokémon. Eski calms the Espeon with her nine tailes as Faye picks up her phone.

Alan lifted his head a little to look at the woman and her Gengar, who seemed agitated by something. He was about to open his mouth to say something but shrugged thinking he would just make things worse. Turning to the ringmaster Alan awkwardly smiled and nodded "Y-yes please mister" handing the man the amount asked. Pip looked between Alan and the woman but just followed his trainers lead and left them alone.
