Fia stayed beside him as she helped Josh sit Drake up a bit. She still felt bad for leaving him, even though in her heart she knew it was the right thing to do. "Come Drake...you gotta stop doing one worse than me" she joked, as she tended to do with him in moments like these. It helped to ease her heart and mind.

Kay looked up when she heard John's voice, looking over at him she couldn't help but look him up and down to check he was alright. Seeing him injury free and back to his normal self surprised her but also gave her much relief mentally. "yeah...he went for Serena apparently but Chas came to her rescue" she explained, making Chas fight holding the smile back that was creeping onto his lips.

Drake groaned and opened his eyes, seeing the pair in front of him. “Is…mom…okay? I felt her panic and pain then…it went black…” he held his head.

John moved to Serena to check her over more and said “just drained a bit…does the kid have ID on him?”

(ooc: apologies for leaving this so long, I had to take a break from RP sites for mental health and just forgot to tell people individually)

Fia and Josh both sighed with relief when Drake woke up. "She's fine, the others are with her from what I can hear" Fia replied back to him. "Are your u okay?" She asked him. Josh also wanted to know the answer to that question as he was a bit concerned about how long Drake seemed to be unconscious for.

Chas walked over to the kid that John was talking about, kneeling down and checking his pockets. It took a few rummages before he found a wallet with some ID in it. "Here..." He said, pulling the ID out, standing up and walking over to the others.

Drake nodded softly and said “I think so…just need to shake this off is all…who was on the roof?”

John moved over and looked at the wallet. “Cedric Runes. Seattle Washington. 27.” He paused and said “kid must have been taken again…maybe the same way before”

Fia wondered how she was going to explain what happened on the roof as it wasn't a case of who but what. "That's the interesting question. It wasn't a who that was on the roof, it was a what." she began saying, continuing before Drake could interrupt her. "It was some weird orb bomb....thing. Of course, I didn't know it was something that would explode, so me being me just HAD to get up close and personal with it, tried to touch it despite being hotter than Hell and it kinda exploded on me, knocking me out." she said in a 'eh c'est le vie' attitude. "Mum got up there seconds before and it seems her and Chas got me down from the roof." she concluded her explanation.

Kay watched on as John went looking and successfully finding some form of ID on the kid. "So whatever wants one of a few of us, isn't so willing to let this guy go in order to do it. If you ask me, it's pure cowardness. If they want Serena or me or whoever, then they need to come themselves and face us" she replied. She really didn't see any other situation or option, but then she hadn't been in this life nearly as long as John or Chas had been.

Drake looked at her then tilted his head. “Was it a sun ball? Like what Apollo would come in on?”

Serena said “or they have a hold on him. We need to figure out how they controlled him in the first place” she looked at Chas then John who sighed. “I really didn’t want to do this today…”

Fia gave it some thought then gasped and nodded, "yeah! Yeah it was! I KNEW it felt familiar to me when I got closer, but I couldn't figure out why!" She grinned, "Drake you're a genius!" she beamed, hugging him. "We gotta tell our parents, it could prove crucial information for them" she told him.

Controlling someone was not something that came to mind to Kay, despite having been controlled in different ways throughout her life. "That makes sense" she replied, then John sighed, "Then we don't deal with it today, we take a step back, make sure we're all good and go in fresh in the morning with this" she suggested.

Drake nodded and tried to get up slowly and said “yes can you guys help me up and make sure I don’t fall down the stairs”

John said “we can’t wait. They could get him again while his here. We need to break the hold and then get him home.” Serena said “the black thing that came out of him?”

As Drake tried to get up and asked for help, both Fia and Josh hurried to his side and gave him an arm to balance against so he could get up and feel stable in the process. "I think the others are still in the other room on this floor, what do you need downstairs?" Fia said to him.

Kay nodded, understanding the urgency and accepting John's response and reasons. No one deserved to be hunted and that included this guy from Seattle. Chas also wondered if the black thing that came out of the kid's body was also the attachment, it just so happened that Serena beat him to asking. "She's right, this..." he grabbed the jar that held the suspicious item inside, "escaped from him when he got knocked out. Is this what could be what's linking him to whatever is controlling him?" he asked John.

Drake said as he looked at her “there are stairs all over. I don’t want to fall on any them”

John took the jar and looked at it closely and nodded “good catch you two…this is a mind leach. Nasty little things. This would be the cause. Meaning you already did the hard job for me”

Fia and Josh nodded at Drake's words. He had a valid point. Neither of them knew why this place had so many staircases when it looked like a perfectly normal house on the outside. It was just one of the many things that always reminded them that this place was truly strong in magical energy. Fia in her timeline would always joke and wind John up by saying it was their Tardis because it was bigger on the inside than the outside. "Good point" Fia replied.

Chas let John inspect what was in the jar and sighed with relief when John confirmed that it was indeed what was the cause of this boy's problems. He also felt quite glad that a total unintentional action actually proved a very helpful move for John. "Well that's something" Kay remarked, unable to resist walking up close to John and having a look at the leach in the jar. "It's amazing how something so small can hold so much power over someone" she remarked.

Drake smiled and looked up to see the others gathered in Serena’s room and said “and they are all right there. We should go help”

John nodded and said “in the world of the dark, it’s always the little things that do the most damage…” Serena looked at Chas then said “so do we call the police or something for Cedric here?”

Walking Drake out of the room they were all in, Fia with Josh's help, helped Drake down the hallway when they stopped outside Serena's room and saw everyone was in there. "Right" she replied to Drake, walking with him into the room to join everyone else. It was then it became clear to her that it seemed they missed something pretty major as they all gathered round John and he was seemingly holding a jar.

Chas looked at Serena when she asked about what to do with Cedric who was still out cold on the floor. "Hmm...I'm gonna say John would rather police didn't know about this place. It's mostly off grid for a reason. I'll drop him off at a hospital with some excuse and drive back here." he suggested, not noticing Fia and the others having come into the room at this moment. It was in fact, Kay who noticed the others first and gave them a silent nod of acknowledgement before turning back to the rest of the group. "So what's the plan with that....thing?" she asked John.

John said looking at it “I’m going to run some tests on it and see what it is exactly. And see how long it has been there…I’m a little worried about more of them…” he looked at Serena who went white and covered her ears. “You don’t think…” John said “not sure. But you were unconscious with that nut job”

Kay, Chas, Fia and Josh all listened to what John was saying and how Serena was reacting to the information. The thought of whatever that thing was, that there could be more of them and possibly in Serena's ear was rather unnerving. "I'll help you, in my time you taught me a lot things, I can be of use" Fia replied to John.

"Sounds like a good plan. I'll do a walk round the parameter to make sure all is clear for certain." Chas spoke up, getting nods from Kay and Josh.

John smiled and nodded “okay kid, let’s see how well you listened. While I test the bug, your job is to make sure Serena doesn’t have one waiting in her ear.” Serena smiled at fia and Drake said “I can help Chas…”

He still looked like crap nut smiling.

Fia smiled as John agreed to let her help him. In her time, she loved helping him whenever she could, even if sometimes she almost begged to be allowed to help. She knew the John in her time was only keeping her safe, but it did irk her when she couldn't help. So to be able to help now made her happy and feel of use. "Got it" she replied.

Chas have a nod of acceptance in Drake wanting to help him do a scout if the perimeter. He didn't see any risk in letting him help as he honestly didn't think there was any other danger around, but if there did appear to be, then he could just make Drake go inside and get other help so he didn't get more injured. "Okay, but if I say get inside, get inside got it?" He negotiated.

Drake nodded with a thumbs up as John and Fia left the room with Serena following. They made it to the study where John was pulling books down. “Alright we need a sealing circle just in case…Serena your going in the circle before it’s shut”

Fia followed John and Serena into a safe room that happened to be the study in this instance. She looked around trying to find a big enough space to do what they needed whilst John started pulling down books. Finding a spot, she just moved the nearest desk slightly further away and grabbed the chalk that she saw on it. Bending down she began to draw the sealing circle which she figured would also act as a form of protection for Serena in the process. As she got about half way round, Fia stood up to straighten her back and looked at Serena, "okay, step inside before I complete it please" she instructed to the woman.

Serena nodded and stepped in, John looking thru the books and muttered under his breath. Drake moved to the front door and opened it, looking around outside.

John found the spell he wanted and said “Fia? You want to run this one?”
