yes'm! My youngest daughter has a tennis lesson from 6 to 7, but sometime after that would work.

Currently, I am visiting family. But I should have a sheet up in a day or so. I especially want to make sure I've read everything thoroughly. Also, I'll probably slap together some graphics for extra points.

Abby could hire your person as a third deckhand, which would probably get her into trouble with Cal, but she's been in trouble before.

Of course, there's always a Shepherd or a Companion, but the 'verse is made up of plenty different folk. If you want to float a new idea past Wolf and me, feel free to PM. Looking forward to having you aboard!

So if you were following this thread instead of setting off Class C explosives in your back yard last night, you saw that we've got people jumping into the pool. As of right now, here's the crew of the China Doll:

Cap'n says we're going to New Melbourne. Malcolm Reynolds made an observation about the place:

"You know, the only thing you're gonna find in New Melbourne is fish and fish related activities so unless you got the overwhelming urge to gut sturgeon... and who hasn't occasionally... "

If you're on the fence about jumping in, there are a million different character types who'd want to travel around the 'verse. Wolf and I will be glad to help you come up with something.

My darling little boy has decided that it was time for a nap after a lengthy battle against, but the sleep won out so I'm here (instead of doing the dishes that need to be done... priorities xD) I'll slap the CS in, after another more caffeinated and rested look over it to make sure it's not too all-over-the-place. ^^ Thanks for having me in!

We were talkin' my character last night after bedtime, and I finished up submitting it late, so sorry about that! I was juggling a baby who battles sleep. Which, as my last post and subsequent disappearance may hint at, he woke up. xD He's currently enjoying tunes with his dad after a bath and bottle, so maaaaybe sleep will be on the horizon soon? We never know with him...

Anyway! Now, I will begin writing something or another up until co-writing is needed. ^^

Jubal Early was a Bounty Hunter who wanted to kidnap River Tam. He was portrayed by Richard Brooks who was also in a movie called 84 Charlie MoPic set during the Vietnam War. Loved that movie and Brooks' character was so believable as a US Infantry NCO.

The name Jubal Early is taken from a Civil War Confederate General who commanded a Division at Gettysburg in Richard Ewell's III Corps and later commanded the Army of the Valley in the Shenandoah during the Valley Campaign of 1864. With that said, I went and chose a Union General Officer's name for my character. Joseph Hooker commanded the Army of the Potomac during the Chancellorsville campaign. He was sidelined by Lincoln for awhile from his dismal showing as an army commander. Eventually, he transferred to the western campaign when the Army of the Cumberland were moving on Chattanooga. He commanded the XX Corps and was involved with the attack on Atlanta. Hooker was from Massachusetts. There is an elementary school in his hometown of Hadley, MA named after him. It is called The Hooker School.

@Gunther I got a kick out of Whedon naming his bounty hunter Jubal Early, and I also appreciated the Joe Hooker reference in your CS. There's so much of American history that could be adapted to Firefly. I've always wondered what we'd have seen in further seasons.

As we move on, we'll discover little bits and pieces like "tribals," rustlers, energy barons, and the hierarchy and codes of gunfighters. All the while, the ghost of the Unification war and the depredations of the Alliance will impact us.

I think you're in the right place! (Dibs on Braxton Bragg as an NPC...)
