I’d said it before but now seems the time to say it again; I have a certain ‘reverse of the standard generic campaign start’ I do for one-to-three shots occasionally where I have the players play the BBEG’s henchmen as they go to thwart the joining of the prophesied heroes at the local tavern.

Jub the Peculiar has officially been stolen as The Overlord’s Vizier each time I’ve done it.

... I have missed this apparently up until now. So like, is it literally just Jub or a very similar character? xD

I fear any evil Overlords who can put up with Jub's nonsense for an extended amount of time.

It’s a terrified gobbo wizard who can’t tell lies (rather than keep secrets) who I continue to call ‘Jub the Peculiar’. I always open it up with describing the goblin wizard creeping up on the nefarious henchmen PCs and going ‘the boss needs you, you’re probably gonna die’.
