I have fallen extremely ill with Covid. Prior to this I was focusing heavily on work and a few planned trips and neglected to keep you guys informed. If you guys are still keen on this, I will be flipping the proverbial hourglass and having the pirates appear when I recover and make my next post. So let me know what you guys have decided to do. This is a potential timeline of 5-12 days, plus time for me to write.

My recovery has gone well. I’m honestly a bit stunned at how suddenly I went from 0/10 to 7/10… but I’m lingering at 7/10 seemingly perpetually.

I’ll get a post out by the end of this week.

Sounds like most of you are trying to avoid engaging the pirates directly, am I good to assume the group will be entering the Barrow/Tomb to avoid detection?

That's what Fran will settle for. She may not wanna raid the place, but it'll be a good place to hide for now at least.

Well Dag'Tyr assumes Veratul won't lead him astray. After all, why else guide him to such a place?

And yeah one of the proper Covids does that to you.
Usually the First day *cause the f*cker hangs around first, you get a raspy throat (like something stuck in it) at least it did for me and your bowels usually go 'oh feck no' mode.
Then during nighttime my body went into what I call *killer mode (the hot/cold/hot/cold/hot/cold-regime), buzzed/delirious sense and the backache started).
After that initial night it plummeted to a measily throat cough and drunk/hangover feeling, which you usually sleep off.
Usually at day two or three at this point you're like wtf happened?

I’ve recovered to 70% and just plateau’d there. It was a horrible week then just this ongoing… Tiredness. I’ve never struggled to keep my wits as much as I have since getting this virus.

Alrighty, update time: The fiance and I got much more involved in discussing the beginnings of our wedding plans in an impromptu discussion today and frankly I'm knackered. After rereading the last set of posts, my next one is going to be pretty 'short' and just establishing the scene of the tomb and will be up tomorrow evening after I get home from work. I now get to begin working out the 'new to DMing D&D on a forum' pains as I try to figure out the best way to balance player post-time with 'setting the scene time'.

I have fulfilled my obligation to the lords of this land and regretfully must now go fulfill my obligations to the lady of my own manor. I must do chores. Huzzah.

Hmm, could I do a check of some sort to have I'Rajith try and figure out what the hand might have been grasping, or what sort of item might fit into it? And whether it's been removed by force or is something that's meant to be detached and reattached multiple times.

I can also post first if you'd prefer, but was thinking I could incorporate his thoughts about the result already in the next post.

Hmm. In this circumstance I don't think there's anything too crazy to really reveal; it's an item small enough to be held in one hand, and appears to slide into a groove carved into the Farmer's hand to be secure. This is unlike the Rose in the Prince's hand, which is simply set into his hand and loose.
