This is something I'm a little torn on so I'll just throw a couple basic ideas out there and see what everyone thinks.

Iron Man's Iron Legion - Tony Stark is down on his luck after losing control of his company to share holders. Generally any time he's needed money or the public's eye he just invented something. With a dozen or so Iron Man suits in an underground R&D lab, the last thing anybody thought Stark would invent is another superhero team! After an old enemy (Whiplash) tries to kick Stark while he's down, the team comes together to save their mentor. Now after one win in the books, what will the Iron Legion do when A.I.M. decides to wage war on Stark?!

Superman and the Marvels of Metropolis - Superman and Lois are having another baby! With the Man of Steel taking time off to work on his growing family, the Super Family and Friends in Metropolis and around the world step up to protect Metropolis and assist the Justice League when needed. Supergirls, Superboys, and everything in between like Steel and other heroes who live in Metropolis rise to fill the void! When the man called Magog comes to town and kills a villain, the city begins to wonder what kind of heroes it really needs moving forward!

_________________________________________

The premise is pretty simple, either a group of Iron Folks or Super-People. The Superman game idea has more room for different types of characters and OC's to come into play. Canonically heroes like Black Lightning, Cyborg, the Guardian, Outburst, Power Girl, the Supermen of America, and Metamorpho have all called Metropolis home. I'm looking for a good mix of canons/reworked canons and OC's for the Supermen game, with Iron Legion it just involves players choosing an old armor and picking a codename. I'm tinkering with ideas around a guy in the Midas armor called Golden Boy or maybe taking the Shotgun armor for a spin...

So what would everybody else want? Honestly just looking for more things to write and depending on which concept gets 5 or 6 interested players I'll post the CS requirements. Merry Christmas everybody!

I prefer the Superman one. The chance to potentially play one of the Kingdom Come supporting cast to go along with Magog is too much fun to pass up.

I’m down. My vote’s for the Iron Legion idea but I think I could think of something for the other idea if that’s what we go with.

I would be interested in The Iron Legion, if it were to be picked.

I know both ideas are super basic [no pun intended], but there's more room for OC's than I think people realize. I don't want to RP as the current comics families of these heroes, but rather make our own original groups. Don't get me wrong, characters like War Machine and Rescue are cool... I just think with the writers here on the guild we could do something better. Same thing goes for Superman. Steel, Supergirl, and other Metropolis residents have all seen some really dope eras in the comics, but lately they just seem to be off.

Unless players choose to rework canons, Superman and Ironman and others will just be used in the background as NPC's where needed. The idea I'm thinking about for the Superman group is an imperfect clone of Superman with strength, a super jump, and heat vision/blasts. With Ironman I'm looking at either a golden armored hero or perhaps doing something different with the Gemini armor...

Interested in both ideas. For the Iron Legion I’m thinking of a soldier who was left paraplegic after a battle involving superheroes. This left him bitter about heroes, but he is eventually convinced by his old comrade James Rhodes to join the Iron Legion. As for the Superman one, if I was to play a canon it would be a heavily re-imagined Eradicator. But I could also play an original.

That's got us up to five players including myself, but one guy wants the Iron Legion and another wants Superman so we've really only got four for either idea. If we can get another player or two on board for either we'd have enough of a cast to get a game going. Crossing my fingers.

If we're going with the Iron legion are we only going with canon armors or is fan made stuff fine?

Fan made armors are cool, there's going to be a bit in the CS requirements about special abilities and powers for the armors in case folks aren't as familiar with them. No one armor is going to be super OP compared to the others. There's like base armor stats in my head, but each suit can have a specialty: speed, stealth, durability, blast power, strength, etc.

There's a few dozen armors from the films that are each special in their own way, I usually go with one of them just with a different codename and such.

@MartianIf it doesn't get some folks attention, I'm working on another similar interest check with a few more ideas. Some things I've been thinking about include an RP set in the 30's with pulp heroes like the Shadow, Phantom, and Green Hornet... another one had to do with the Legion of Superheroes in the year 3000...

Those sound interesting, though I have no experience with the Legion of Super Heroes, having never read a single issue of their comics. As for the 30s Pulp Heroes, I do have some familiarity. I read some of the comics Dynamite Entertainment put out with them several years back, and I used to watch reruns of the 60s Green Hornet with my Dad as a child. Would either of these be playing as canons or original characters?

I'd probably be interested in the Marvels idea if this might still be cooking.
