There was a lot of weird anomalies sitting around before we moved to the RGP, and it confused even us. That's why we simplified it in the lore summaries on the first page of OOC. Those lore summaries are the new cannon, so if the lore summary says one thing and the wiki says another, the summary takes precedence.

I've heard a lot of STEM people complain right alongside English degrees. I think the rule really is "No generalized degrees." So getting a Math degree is not much different from getting a History degree. What you want is a degree that directly corresponds with a career program you want to get into. At least that's true for the US, my be different elsewhere.
