Willow puts the plush wolf aside, deciding that she wants more than just his hand on her arm. She wraps her arms around Rowan and buries her face in his shirt, taking deep breaths in of his scent. “Thank you.” She nearly pulls herself into his lap, but stops herself to peek up at him. “Will I… have to live on the sanctuary?” She asks in a whisper. “Or… Can I stay with you?”

He blinks, opening his arms as she leans into his chest. He set a hand on her back and rubs it gently before offering her a smile. "It might be noisy living with me. You'll be subjected to a lot of online scrutiny and lots of questions asking if you're my mate and all that nonsense." His smile fell, his other hand moving to her head. "And Beowulf might come for you again.."

A hopeful look takes over Willow’s face, her eyes going wide despite all the negative he mentions, even as his smile falls. “Y-your mate?” Her tail starts wiggling despite her best to contain her excitement. Rowan said if she was his mate! “You want me… as your mate?” Her mind is conveniently ignoring the dangers he’s trying to point out to her as she climbs into his lap to get closer to him, looking for any signs that he doesn’t mean it.

His hands moved to her thighs, gaze looking up at her as she climbed into his lap. He blinked lightly and chuckled. "I think.. once you get some proper mental help and.. we do some proper courting.." He nuzzled her neck lightly. ".. it would be lovely to have you as a mate." He nudged her jaw gently, and looked up at her again. "But, only after those things. I want you healthy before I try to put more strain on you like a proper courtship."

Willow’s smile at these words is bright - she doesn’t mind if she has to go through some extra steps for Rowan. She nods when he looks at her, knowing that what he’s suggesting makes sense, especially with what she’s been through. She nuzzles herself into his chest again the smile not leaving her face. “Works for me.” She mumbles, letting her eyes fall close as she still smiles.

He held her gently, petting her back as she held onto him. "I need to know what you want to do, Willow, so I can call my contact and set whatever into motion." He was gentle with her, brushing her away away from her face. "I only want what's best for you."

Willow gives herself a moment longer in Rowan’s arms before she sighs and nods. She looks up at him as he brushes her hair away from her face, realizing how honest he’s being when he says he wants what’s best for her. “I believe you… And I believe that you won’t let me stay trapped with them…” She says as she lifts her head to look at Rowan more clearly. “I’ll do it - I’ll go back to the Beowulfs and help save others like me… Like my sisters.”

He listens to her and then nods lightly. "Alright." He nuzzles her again gently before easing her off his lap. "I'm gonna go call them so I can get the plan on motion. Want to cook dinner?" He smiles, ruffling her hair as he stands, pulling his phone out.

Her hands jump to her head when Rowan ruffles her hair and she playfully glares at him as she gets up as well. “Are you craving anything in particular for dinner?” She asks as she walks to the the kitchen and start getting what’s left of the food to prepare a meal. Despite all her nerves and anxieties about returning to the Beowulfs, she truly feels it’ll be okay thanks to him.

Rowan paused, phone to his ear. He shook his head with a smile. "Ah. Raymond." He started walking to the bedrooms. "She decided to go with the plan of infiltrating the Beowu..." His voice trailed off as he went out of earshot. His bedroom door clicked closed further down the hallway.

Willow listens, her ears trying to catch what’s being said before the door closes. She can’t help the little skip in her step as she pulls out some asparagus and steak frites to start cooking. Being here for a couple of weeks finally has her familiar with where everything is in Rowan’s kitchen, including a step-stool so she’s not balancing on her toes everywhere. It’s not long before she’s plating everything and placing the food on the table. There’s more meat on his plate than hers, as per usual.

Rowan comes back as she's putting the plates down to eat. He smiles and sit down, setting a hand on her head. "Only one question. Do you think they'd scan your body if they took you back? Like.. would they catch a tracking chip if I put one in?" Rowan quickly started cutting his steak, and already shoving a piece in his mouth.

Willow returns Rowan’s smile, finding his hand on his hand comforting as she sits. At his question, she tilts her head a little as she ponders the answer. “Hmm… I don’t think they would even think someone would have put a tracking chip in me just to let me get taken back…” She says, thinking out-loud. “Though… They might put one on me to prevent getting kidnapped again.” She picks up a piece of asparagus on her fork and starts to nibble on it, watching for his response.

He nodded lightly. "They thought the same thing, I just wanted verification. Seems we won't go the tracker route then." He gave a sigh, chewing on a piece for a moment before looking to her. "They're pretty positive Grant will show up to my bakery tomorrow. So we'll have to do the exchange then. You'll be alright? We won't see each other for a while.."

Willow stops chewing, staring at the table for a moment as her brow crinkles and she takes deep breaths. “No,” She tells him honestly, flashing a sad smile before she moves on to assure him. “But I’ll do my best to be alright until we meet again.” Before she can second guess herself, she reaches to place her hand on Rowan’s in an effort to comfort him.

Cheeks warm, Willow nods as she takes her hand back to resume eating as well. “I’ll probably miss that the most.” She says, knowing she’s gotten used to it as well. Looking down at her plate, she pushes the steak frites around as she tries not to let her thoughts run rampant. “What you said earlier - that the Beowulfs might still chase me even if I’m with you… will that mean other clans might too?” She can’t help but think of how easily she’d been yanked from the Beowulf’s estate in the first place.

"The Beowulfs won't chase you if we do it this way. At least not at first, as we'll basically be shutting down the contract business they have. But I don't think so, I can't say for sure though. Anything can happen and once you go into my spotlight as a potential mate.. there's a lot that can change." He frowned a little, as if he didn't like that, but he couldn't change anything. Once she went into the spotlight, a lot of people would be gunning for her to try to make a connection with Rowan.

She nods slowly before forcing herself to eat more; she’ll need her strength for what’s to come. “I’ll just have to be stronger then.” Willow says after a few bites, flashing a cheerful smile at Rowan in hopes to ease both their worries. “Rabbits apparently are strong kickers, I’ll just learn how to kick people away.”
