The Plot:

The Destiny Islands have always been very peaceful and quiet, and whether you like it or not, it's always seemed like like it's gonna stay that way. With its lovely golden beaches, cool blue ocean, and plenty of things and natural environments to entertain yourself in, it's the farthest thing from "dangerous" that most people can think of. You might hate how "boring" and "stagnant" it is, or love it for being "safe" and "peaceful", but either way, the Islands are gonna keep being the way they are, oblivious to what some of its residents want it to be...

Well, it all seems like that on the surface, anyway.

((AKA, think along the lines of KH1 in terms of plot, but various OCs are the main characters in it instead of Sora, Kairi, and Riku, and there's obvious changes in the story because of this.))

I think the abilities and weaknesses will be close to canon, but I'm still working on things. What I want from you guys the most, tho, is more "normal" types of abilities and weaknesses first. Like, maybe you're a fast runner, but are easily defeatable physically/not good at split second decisions. And, hang on. I'll make a Powers section for the keyblade wielding and magic as well! :D

Sorry if I'm being pretty vague, and nothing makes sense. I've been pretty tired and have had a wack sleep schedule because of my cat recently, so I might be putting things together with less refinement than I usually do. I am super sorry if that's the case!

For alignment, I'm assuming the standard 3x3 grid that's used with things like D&D and Pathfinder. Let me know if that's wrong.

Also, I'm planning on having my guy be a tank, with a Defense boon and a Magic bane, and Air as a primary element. If anyone had any plans on those, I can change up what I've got for a more balanced party comp.

Personality: As a child Hoshi was known for her energetic and rambunctious disposition. She could never sit still. This much has, mostly, persisted into her teenage years. Hoshi is generally a lively and exhuberant figure around the town. She possesses an adventerous impulse and an unbound curiosity that spurs her on to venturing into any and every unknown, unexplored corner of her environment; she still searches for remote spots on Destiny Islands, even at her own risk when making her way through thick patches of jungle brush, hazardous rock formations, and rough waters. But to say that she is unfocused or scatterbrained wouldn't be entirely accurate; she is determined and goal-oriented, even as she seems to move rapidly from one task or adventure to the next.

World Origin: Destiny Islands

Abilities:

• Combat. The seeming common thread among the youth of Destiny Islands their dedication to sparing and play fighting with wooden weapons and other non-lethal arms. Hoshi is no diffetent from her peers in this regard. She spent her early youth rough housing with her friends while watching and sometimes joining an elder sibling in the duels and skirmishes. She is most proficient with a bo staff, but is competent in swordplay; she's good to throw a punch if she needs to as well.
• Speedy. Hoshi is pretty quick on her feet, and is balanced therein. She's outrun the boys on the island at times when they've had foot races.
• Exploration & Navigation. Hoshi is adept in her ability to go out spelunking, hiking, and negotiating terrain. She is notably one of the best at doing the obstacle course in the cove on the small island.

Weaknesses:

• Defense. Hoshi has chosen to focus on her speed, agility, and quick thinking to outmaneuver in battle. While she rarely has to take a hit, when something does connect, it does a good deal of hurt.
• Brashness. Moving fast comes with its detriments, and making brash, snap decisions is one of them. Hoshi prone to ignoring conventional planning in favor of trying first and asking questions later.

Keyblade:

• Star Cluster. A variation on the Kingdom Key, being darker in color and featuring a motif of five-point stars upon the handguard and blade. Its primarily benefits are in its offensive and arcane properties, endowing the wielder with envigorated strength and heightened magical power.

Alignment: Neutral

Backstory: In her youth, Hoshi was known more widely around Islands through her brother, Kitsu ("Tsu"). Being seven years younger, Hoshi looked up to Tsu as more of a third [cool] parent. She would follow her elder brother around in a way like a puppy would follow its human, constantly at his heels; in turn, Tsu was frequently tasked with looking after her when neither their mother or father could. This meant many walks to and from school, the marketplace, and other destinations. She would also insist, much to Tsu's chagrin, on accompanying him to the small island where kids often ventured out to spend their liesure time. She was quick to tag along in Tsu's adventures with his friends, and joining in on their sparing matches, even though she was like to get left behind or completely outmatched. The worst was always when Tsu snapped at her to go play with the other "little kids."

If there were ever any doubts whether or not Tsu cared about her sister, these would be put to rest in one instance when Hoshi was nine years old. She had ventured out to the small island looking for Tsu, who had gotten off ahead of her. When she arrived and started looking for him, she was confronted by three of Tsu's friends. They had grown annoyed at her constant presence, believing that she was keeping Tsu away from them and getting in the way of their plans and schemes. Under the guise of "testing" her, the trio took their sparing weapons to an unarmed Hoshi. Fleeing, she was cornered on near the Paupu tree, with the drop down into the water behind her.

Just as she prepared to leap into the sea, Tsu arrived and stood between her and his friends. "If you're gonna have a go at someone, have a go at me!" he had told them. What transpired was a three-on-one that Tsu handled with efficiency. Tsu's friends fled and the two spent the remainder of the day by the tree recovering from the incident.

The pair only became closer from that day. Hoshi fell more under Tsu's wing learning better defend herself should his old gang ever stir up trouble again; with extra attentention and practice, Hoshi became more capable. With time she was even able to best her brother from time to time.

Two years later, tragedy struck.

Tsu had gone out in his boat on a fishing venture. A fream storm developed just off of the islands while he was out. In the wake of the storm, Tsu's boat drifted ashore, but Tsu wasn't in it. A search party was formed to find him (or rather, find his body, a detail that Hoshi was left unaware of). But after several days of combing the ocean near the islands, nothing was found. Tsu was, publicly, declared lost at sea. For her part, Hoshi held to the hope that Tsu was still alive, perhaps washing ashore on some distant island elsewhere in the ocean.

Since that day, Hoshi has maintained the physical memory of Kitsu in any way she can. She began taking his old boat to the small island shortly after he was declared missing. Though she has long preferred the use of a bo staff while sparing with friends, she often takes up Tsu's old wooden sword to practice that as well. All the while, she maintains the core belief that Tsu remains alive, and hopes to leave the island to find him someday.

Other:

• Alias. Perhaps understated in the shadow Kitsu, Alias has been Hoshi's best friend from an early age. Tsu had always had a fondness for and interest in the boy, ever since he drifted ashore. The fondnesd and interest were reciprocated, and Alias became something of a third sibling, and took a few good hits from Tsu's friends in Hoshi's defense prior to Tsu's intervention. Hoshi's precise feelings for Alias are complicated, and tend to fluctuate as she tries to maintain a sensible sibling-like relation with him. She's only grown closer to Alias since Tsu's dissappearance, the incident having been, albeit sad, source of bonding for the two. They've since put their heads together to find their way off the islands, with Alias fueling Hoshi's belief that Tsu remains alive on another World.

Personality: Alias is an adventurer at heart. He has no real ties besides the ones he makes with his friends so he wants to experience all of the world or worlds with his friends. He's very protective of his friends and would put his life on the line for them without thinking about it. His body would just react before his mind does. This got him the worst and best loss on his record against three older jerks. He can be very stubborn and in his own way sometimes. He thinks he knows what's best and that he can solve all of his problems on his own despite his life experiences telling him that people need each other's help. But that's really just due to him feeling ultimately alone despite the connections he's formed. This side of him he typically doesn't show others. Part of him doesn't want them thinking he's weak and another part of him just feels the need to be strong for those around him.

Backstory: Alias is known around his home island as "The Boy who Drifted Ashore". When he was a baby he appeared on a raft to the confusion of everyone. The mayor decided to adopt him and named him Alias. As Alias grew the Mayor discovered that he could not and would not stay in just one place. As soon as he was three years old he took his first journey to the beach. It was as if it were calling out to him, or at least the worlds beyond the ocean. The Mayor was frantic once he realized Alias was gone. A search party commenced and it was night before they eventually found him. He was on the beach playing with a crab underneath the moonlight. From then on Alias went on many such adventures, exploring all that his little island had to offer. On one of these adventures he met the sibling duo, Kitsu and Hoshi. Tsu was the big brother Alias never knew he wanted. When Tsu hung around his older friends he and Hoshi played together. He loved the Mayor, but with Hoshi and Tsu he really started to understand what a family was like. He had seen families all the time, but now he felt like he actually had one of his own.

One day some of Tsu's friends were being mean to Hoshi. They all were going to gang up on her with their wooden swords. He wasn't going to stand for it one bit. He didn't care that there were three of them. He rushed to defend Hoshi and held his own for a bit before the overwhelming difference in number and size crushed him. He was glad when Tsu arrived to put them in their place and from then on he was determined to become the strongest in all the worlds. By then he had only believed in other worlds. He felt like they were calling out for him to explore them, but it wasn't until Tsu's disappearance that he had his confirmation. Alias's grief stayed in the denial stage. He refused to believe that Tsu was dead or gone for good. If he could survive those waters alone as a baby and come here then Tsu had to be somewhere else. Tsu was alive and he was going to find him.

Alias trained even harder after that feeling as Tsu's honorary little brother it was his job to step up and become leader and protector of the beach. A month after he was declared missing Alias approached Hoshi with his theory and plan. They were going to get their brother back.

With an actual focus coming together, if y'all don't mind, I can adjust Levi to fit in with the focus a little more.

The concept I had was for Levi, was that he knew Tsu as that older friend from another class. He would've probably gotten to know the others initially as his friend's younger siblings, almost. And, given how much Levi cares about the people who actually give a damn about him, plus the fact that he would've been old enough to understand at the time, would've definitely been affected by what happened to Tsu, and would've been one of the people looking for his remains, regardless of whether or not he was allowed on the search parties. He would also probably come to see the other two as younger siblings, trying his best to help them, even though at first it was out of a feeling of obligation to look out for the people his (allegedly) dead friend cared about. He was usually around, but unless someone came to him needing help, or something was happening that spurred him to action like some idiots trying to pick on a pair of kids who just lost someone they looked up to, or stopping someone from doing anything reckless or stupid, he would hang back and watch.

Thoughts? (And yes, I'm perfectly willing to just not do this if y'all would rather I not. Was planning on having Levi be roughly 19.)

I was considering putting in Alias's bio that he and Levi started protecting the beach and looking out for the others together after Tsu's disappearance but I wanted to check with you first. He likely also went with Levi when he went to search for him too and during that search Alias likely shared his theories about other worlds.

Appearance: Lucian has soft blonde hair, taking after his mother. His hair falls in loose waves just above his eyes. He has bright blue eyes, much like his mother’s, and a light tan from living on the islands. His build is athletic and slim, perfect for the adventurous lifestyle he leads. His clothing is reminiscent of the royal lineage he doesn’t know he comes from, with subtle gold accents and intricate patterns on his sleeves and collar, though it still maintains the casual, comfortable look of island life.

Personality: Lucian is courageous and optimistic, with a boundless curiosity about the worlds beyond his own. He’s always willing to step up and help his friends, and he deeply values the connections he makes with others. He is compassionate, often taking the time to understand others and offer a kind word or gesture.

However, Lucian occasionally struggles with self-doubt. The discovery of his royal lineage weighs heavily on him. He sometimes wonders if he’s truly worthy of his role as a Prince of Heart or of wielding a Keyblade. This internal struggle makes him question whether he can live up to the high expectations. Especially when compared to others who are more experienced or confident. He’s loyal to a fault, sometimes putting himself at risk to protect those he cares about.

Lucian is fond of animals, having grown up with stories of his mother’s connection to creatures of all kinds. He also dreams of meeting his own Prince Charming.

World Origin: Destiny Islands (Though he believes he was born and raised there, his true heritage is that of a Prince, the son of Cinderella and Prince Charming, who fled their world.)

Abilities:

Parkour & Athleticism: Growing up on Destiny Islands, Lucian is agile and nimble, able to scale cliffs, swim, and perform acrobatic movements easily.

Charisma and Charm: Even though he wasn’t raised as a prince, he embodies the grace and manners of one. He’s polite, thoughtful, and has a warm, disarming smile that puts people at ease. His presence alone can make others feel important, and he’s often the one who steps in to calm tense situations

Lucian also knows how to use his charm to lift others’ spirits. Whether it’s offering kind words or a gesture of support, he can make others feel seen and valued. This ability makes him a natural leader, even when he’s uncertain of his place in the grander scheme of things.

Weaknesses:

Self-Doubt: Lucian often questions if he’s truly worthy of his role, especially when comparing himself to others who seem more experienced.

Naivety: Due to his sheltered upbringing on Destiny Islands, Lucian can be overly trusting, sometimes to the point of being manipulated by those with darker intentions.

Emotional Vulnerability: Because of his deep bonds with others, losing someone close to him could lead to a crisis of identity or even temporarily falling into Darkness.

Backstory: Lucian grew up on Destiny Islands, blissfully unaware of his royal heritage. His parents, who he believes to be simple islanders, are actually Cinderella and Prince Charming, who fled their world during an attack by the Darkness. They kept their royal past hidden to protect him.

As a child, Lucian was always curious about the world beyond the islands. He would spend his days exploring the beaches, climbing trees, and imagining himself going on grand adventures to far-off worlds. His friends often joined in these games, but Lucian always felt like he was destined for something more than island life. Even though he couldn’t figure out why, or what that would even entail.

Lucian’s parents, were loving and supportive. They were always secretive about their past. Whenever Lucian asked about their lives before the islands, they would never give him a straight answer. Lucian often wondered if there was more to their story, but he convinced himself that his parents were simply humble islanders who had found their home on Destiny Islands.
