Name: FavnirAge: 200 years old, still considered youngRace: DragonGender: malePersonality: One word that could describe Favnir is stubborn. If he does not want to do something. It will not be done. And good luck trying to get the 20ft tall dragon to do something. He has a dislike of most humans, even of the war was nearly 1000 years ago, he still dislikes them. He can and will get very angry. And you best hope you have a way to protect yourself from him or your toast. Literally. Magic: fire and other dragon related magical abilitiesSkills: typical dragon skills.. Climbing.. Flying... Hunting... Etc.Gear: He's a dragon. What gear does he need?Bio: Favnir had an okay life. He was taught when he was young how to fend for himself, as well as the history of what has happened. Once he was old enough to be on his own, he left his parents, and searched for a place to stay. And he found it, a mountain riddled with caves, it was perfect, and with the forest fearing right outside the door it was the perfect hunting ground. He soon found a small colony of elves( any type ) and began to talk to them, but spent most of his time doing various dragon things.Misc: He can speak English, and elvish( or whatever the elves speak ).Didnt really know what to put for the bio so I hope that's ok.
I like it. So I'm going to thrown my own hat into this. You didn't find a colony of elves, you found a refugee group of elves, a resistance group against the Alderian Alliance within the Seven Thrones Forest. Even by not speaking of their location, you are officially a criminal throughout Alderia, however, the elves have decided to trust you with the secret, despite the danger, many of them hoping that you would be moved to join their cause. A dragon could easily shift the balance of power, and be an invaluable asset to the resistance.. Sound interesting?
Also, the main language in this fantasy world is Corinthian, a language that was first created when Lord Corinth combined the languages of the many city-states that had combined into the Alderian Alliance shortly after it's founding. It has many useless and nonsensical grammatical clauses which were taken from languages that didn't quite fit, much like English, and is spoken throughout the Alderian alliance, although many regions still have their own dialects, and even alternate languages that can be spoken among people from that area, as seen with the elves.
Elves ancestrally have two tongues. Ancient Elves, and Thronic. Ancient Elven is the tongue spoken originally by the Primal Elves, which, after the fall of the Primal Elves, was seen as the perfect language. The High Elves, together with the Wood Elves cherished and protected this language, forbidding the "lesser" elven races from speaking it. However, as the Seven Thrones were instituted, 300 years after the Dragon War, a new language had to be created to combine elves. This language was derived from the complex Primal Elven, but simplified and twisted. Ancient Elven, as it is now known, is a tongue spoken mostly by scholars throughout the world, having spread as Elven magical knowledge spread as the language of learned men.
Thronian, on the other hand, is a tongue that is rarely spoken by Elves nowadays. Elves were required to learn Alderian when the Seven Thrones were conquered, but the members of the resistance refused. Due to this, elves who speake Thronian are associated with the resistance, and it is spoken exclusively among elves, not when there are humans present, a hiddenl language. It is popular in Elven bars after a few drinks have been served, as some small measure of resistance.
