Charlie expected retaliation, but instead she dodged his attack, both acrobatically and silently.
So he followed with a whirling assault. While there was no pattern in the wild swings and jabs. The cloth at the end of the sticks waved and bellowed graciously.
With every swipe and thrust he picked up speed. Faster and faster.

Ris landed suddenly and rock pillars shot up around the crouching girl

Charlie stopped pummeling the total defense when it became clear he wasn't going to get trough if she kept defending.
While erratically prodding between the pillars he struggled to try and remember how the story with the wolf and 3 piggies went.

Ris looked at him with her glowing golden eyes. She hit the ground below her with her palm and a pillar shot up under her and launching her into the air

Charlie looked up at Ris bounce up. He quickly jumped back to where he calculated she'd land and braced himself to detonate at the last moment.

Ris saw where he went and in a second a rock board caught her and launched her away from him

Charlie stopped as he watched her fly off again.
"Are you going to come over here and fight or are you going to keep running away?"

Ris looked at him through her pink hair and she smiled. She hit her palm on the ground and rock spikes went at Charlie with blinding speed

Charlie jumped back to dodge but the spikes took him by surprise and many of them struck home in his torso with a painfull sounding thump.
He halted and grinned trough the pain as he clenched a fist around one and pulled it out. "He he. *cough* Now we're talkin'."
The open wound quickly started to close up as charlie lined up his mark and threw the spike back at Ris. While pulling a second one with his other hand.

Ris's arms made a X shape and a wall of rock appeared in front of her

Charlie dug out two more spikes and charged for the wall arms wide. He dropkicked into the wall, it started to topple. He followed up with a loud massive blast, blowing the slab over slamming it into Ris and flinging Charlie back up.

Darian began to grind his teeth as he watched the battle, wishing to be in the battles, but he couldn't, watching was fun but he couldn't deal with it.

Darian sighed as he watched the match. "I guess so, but I seems so strange they'd arrange a match for only guild members of like, two guilds" he said reserving other thoughts to himself as he and his rat munched on another potato.

All of the members of the Narukami family present at the games kept their eyes on the match between Ris and Charlie, analyzing every offensive and defensive move made by them. Leon and Inigo were simply interested in Ris' strength while Michael and Morgan payed attention to the body language and the magic used by the both of them.

Ris flipped backward. Upon landing on her feet she felt blood running down a gash in her left cheek under her eye. She whipped away some of the blood and stood up. "Nice attack." She mumbled when she realized she was right on the edge of the area and she slightly smiled and skirted around the edge of the area occasionally stomping her foot as she went until she had several magic circles around the edge of the arena.

Balancing carefully as the earth shook Charlie dug out the last 3 spikes and took aim as the wounds healed.
He concentrated and timed the throw just as Ris raised her foot to stomp. He aimed for the foot still on the ground, to throw her of balance.

Ris saw the spike and she twisted so she was still able to hit her foot on the ground and not loose her balance and her spell activated. The ground started to collapse inside the area where her magic circles were at and the ground collapsed with speed

Charlie felt the ground shake then lower. At first slightly, then faster and faster the earth crumbled. The edge was too far away so all he could do was manage to break his fall somehow.
Well there was one more thing he could do. He threw the last two spikes, not at his, but the edge of the pit she was standing on. The earth crumbled under her feet and he took her down with him. Cackling madly, for now.
