Jade ran her hand through the beast's fur as she looked out towards Jack while he gave his solution to their problem. To her it didn't seem half bad, it meant she wouldn't have to continuously look after Sky. "Cute and smart, what a combination." She looked him over then shrugged. "I couldn't care less but seeing as you'll probably be dealing with the cry baby... Works for me." Glancing over at the agent, Jade started to ignore the doctor's existence all together. "What say you, boss man." Her voice as thick with sarcastic compliance, her smile less than honest.

Agent carter went to speak and Allen raised his hand, "Miss Jade..." He landed and let his glow go away until he looked like a normal person again, "You and Sky are a part of the reason I'm even alive..." He looked down at himself in an almost sickened way, "I was so ready to have back my old life that i was willing to throw you and everyone else to the wolves...The only reason we made it is because we were a team..." Allen looked into her eyes, "Forgive me...I just...I wanted to see my wife...but...if the cost is my new allies...Then she can wait." Allen stepped away from Agent Carter, "Mister Carter...I think in truth...if any of us had signs of infection we would have already seen it...considering our increased blood-flow..." Allen looked to Jack, Sky, Al, Rowan and back at Carter, "If you need our help...If you really need our help...you know how to get a hold of us." Allen turned to Sky, "That was brave of you...standing up to everyone...I'm sorry that i almost fell back into my old self...We are a team...All of us...And if the Vitus come back...We will stop them together..." Carter looked at everyone and he smiled a little, "Modern day superheroes...If thats how its gotta be Dr Willows...I can't take you by force...But...If you need anything...Give us a call." Allen nodded, "Its Allen now...I'm done being a mad scientist..." Carter simply nodded, "Remember the people of America are gonna be scared and confused by you...But...with time...They will accept you...I wish you the best of luck doctor." And with that Carter climbed into his S.U.V. and they drove off of the beach. Allen turned back to everyone. "I owe you all an apology...and i hope you might forgive my coldness...I have to remember that you are my allies and without us working together we can't make it." Allen shook Jacks hand, "You'd make a hell of a politician buddy."

Jack laughed at Allen's last remark.

"Compared to women, talking to a bunch of guys in suits is a walk in the park!" he joked back.

Waiting a bit for the outsiders to move away, Jack gathered the group and introduced the idea he had before.

"Here is what I want to talk to you about. To be frank, I am quite comfortable with money, because I invested on some stocks with my gambling money. Simply speaking, I am a kind of a billionaire. So here is the deal. I think that we can go back to my house for the time being, it's comfortable enough for all of us. Then, with Allen's help and with some expenses, we can slowly build a base of operations inside the house. How does this sound?"

Al scoffed at military and government official present as they began to disperse. Even though he was asleep at fist it was nearly impossible to stay that way with all the shouting going on. He chose to keep silent even though every fiber of his being wanted to unleash his powers upon the lot of them. He refused to become a weapon for anyone, and despite what agent Carter had said he trusted the government as far as he could throw them. Jacks proposal on the other hand was much more appealing. "Sounds better than the alternative."

The beast was confused at the girl who now called herself Jade. She felt off for some reason, nothing at all like the girl from earlier. He didn't know where he stood with her yet, but he would wait and find out.

"Then what are we waiting for? I don't know about you freaks, but I am exhausted. A nice hot bath would do me wonders right about now." Jade groaned, cracking each individual vertebrae in her neck then along her spine. She could sense the discomfort of the beast beside her compared to how it reacted to Sky but she didn't think much of it. Animals never really got along with her anyway. After another moment of her silence, she looked around at the other members of their group. "Am I the only one who is starving right now?" The question alone was enough to make her seem more her age, but it seemed that the longer she stayed around in the calm environment, the softer her features looked.

"Well then, if you agree...By the way, you could also call any of your loved ones in case you are worried about their well being. That would include your wife as well, Allen!"

Jack stopped a couple of taxis and hopped on one, with the others equally seperating in each of them. The cabbies headed to the outskirts of a city, where an enormous mansion was located and stopped outside.

"Here we are...Make yourselves at home!" he said.

Jack was lucky to find his keys along with his Jack of Spades card, so it saved him the trouble of calling a locksmith. He headed inside and then backout to pay the taxi drivers, with a generous tip.

"Make yourselves comfortable. You can have anything to eat, as long as it hasn't expired, have a bath and explore the house. There are several bedrooms on the upper floors, so pick any of them. Have a nice stay!"

Al cracked his neck as he let out a yawn. He followed Jack to his home but he was feeling he should bail and check on his mom and sister. He was worried about them since he had been gone and he knew his mom was probably freaking out. "Yo Jack I don't know if should..." His jaw dropped when Jack's mansion came into the view of the cabs window. "Y'know what? I can totally go for something to eat!" He said with a silly grin as he stepped out of the cab and walked towards it. "Gambling makes you this kind of money?"

The Beast sniffed at the strange contraptions the other were getting into. They strange machines were reminiscent of the Vitus machinery but he followed Jade anyway as he was strangely intrigued by the prospect of food. He wondered if they kept any Vitus around to snack on?

Allen rode there with everyone but when they arrived he realized just how wealthy his friend Jack really was, "Well that's impressive." Allen stepped out of the car and took off his ripped up jacket, "Please take care with what foods we all eat...We still don't know how many effects these powers will have." After that Allen fished into his pocket and found his now melted cellphone, "Damn!" Allen turned to jack slowly, ""Do you perhaps have a phone i can use?"

"Gambling alone doesn't really make you a steady billionaire. But I am not the kind of man who would just gamble everything and risk to lose it in a night. Instead, I usually invest on the stock market, following the people's consuming patterns and trends, buying stocks that I will sell back at many times their price. You can consider it some kind of research a tad different from the scientific one Allen is doing. Oh, and there is a phone near the kitchen, you can make calls anywhere you like." Jack answered Al's and Allen's questions respectively, "But before you call..."

Jack moved upstairs, towards a room with an electronically locked code. He inserted a somewhat complex code, which opened the door, leading him to the inside of the room, a big vault. From there, he picked a large amount of money, which he brought downstairs, after locking the door again.

"Here is 50,000 $ for each of you. With that you can cover your families' treavel fees, possible moving procedures from your house to here and any personal needs you may have...I am sure you can all handle it well."

Jack brought an extra bundle of 50,000 $ for the beast, still unaware that it wasn't a superpowered human like they were.

"You can now turn back to your normal form. I assure you it's safe here and that nobody will hurt us."

Jade looked down at the bundle of money in her hands with an expression of confusions. She had never laid eyes on so much cash in her life, and here it was being handed to her as if it were no big deal. With a raised eyebrow she looked around at those who were planning on calling their families, a knot tied in the pit of her stomach. "I think I'll just start with the bath." Her voice was quiet as she spoke, turning away from the group to head up the stairs. Poking her head into each of the rooms, she picked the one with the nicest view and closed the door behind her. It took only minutes for her to locate and fill a tub with steaming water, dirty clothes left on the floor as she sunk into the scalding liquid. A sigh escaped her lungs as she absorbed the heat, sinking until the water sat just below her nose.

Rowan looked to the funding handed over to him, unsure how to react. "I... can't do this. I don't know -anything- about who I am. Any family... Anything." He looked around, astonished. He brushed off his bizarre outfit a bit, setting the funds within one of the red cloth wraps. "I appreciate your trust and respect. I cannot help you at this time... however." He then started to sculpt his wood reserves into a small platform, and drifted up to the roof. He proceeded to just lie there, the wood holding him in as a pocket. "I need to be alone for the time being." He sighed, looking to the sky.

Allen took the money and looked almost speechless, "Honestly Jack I don't know what to say..." he looked down and a look of pain wrote itself across his face, "If only we had, had someone like you funding our research...Perhaps we would have suceeded in making a stable serum..." Allen brought his hand to his eyes to hide the fact that he was crying, through the tears he managed to whisper to Jack, "We tested a serum we thought was stable...when it worked on a monkey my wife insisted we test it on a human...she wouldn't take no for an answer...when the machine was turned on it gave my wife cancer over almost her intire body...last I heard she was in dalenview hospital..." Allen looked up no longer hiding the fact he was crying, "Right before the Vitus took me I got a call from my mother in law...saying my wife had flatlined...I dont even know if shes alive Jack..."

"You know, Allen, even though I am a gambler, I don't believe in coincidences and I rarely believe in luck. But I do believe that, one way or another, we get as much things as possible to overcome any difficulty that comes before us. And, even though your wife might be in a tough situation, don't give up before she does...Besides, I do remember reading that radiation can cure cancer by killing cancer cells and shrinking tumors. And right now, I think of a certain walking radioactive device that could fly in Dalenview hospital in a flash, find out about his wife's condition, try and cure her with the gift he now has and return back here with her to once again sleep together. Of course, that is if he wouldn't hit a plane with his sight blurred from his tears!"

Jack tried to encourage Allen as much as he could. He never really had any close friends, so he didn't know how it was to lose a loved one. However, it was certain that Allen was more of a man than Jack was and wouldn't crack up without trying his best, otherwise, it wouldn't be possible to escape if Allen and Al didn't do the best of their abilities.
Jack pressed on Allen's shoulders to release some of his (Allen's) tension and headed to the door.

"Clear your head and do what you have to do....Meanwhile, I am going to the city for some stuff I need to do and I will be back! Don't wreck the house or something and Al....Please don't use your powers in here!" Jack joked and headed out.

Al was dumbstruck by the amount of money Jack had given him. He had no idea what he would do with all of this. "I promise not to burn the place down while your away." Rolling his eyes to make his point. He would have to call his mother soon but he was stilll wiped from all the fighting. He moved over to one of the couches and threw himself onto figuring he could rest up for a little while longer.

The beast tilted his head at Jacks statement. Normal? The human must of thought he was one of them. Why did he think that? He wasn't soft and squishy like them after all. He bite into the money thinking it wasf ood.He didn't know what the green stuff the man had placed in front of him was but it was delicious.

Allen walked out the door with Jack wishing his friend goodbye, he then took off into the air flying towards Dalenview Hospital with a glimmer of hope in his heart. As he flew Allen looked over the city and the fact that they had really survived finally hit him, "I'm alive..." Allen flew for a while before landing at the hospital doors, "here goes nothing..."

The warm water calmed her nerves, Jade's eyes beginning to feel heavier and heavier. If she were to drift away, the likelihood that she would wake soon was low, which meant she had to get the body to a bed. A long sigh escaped her lungs as she pulled herself from the now lukewarm liquid, draining the tub after she had wrapped herself in a soft towel. Beginning to feel lonely she whistled in a way that she'd know the beast downstairs would hear it, locating a brush and dragging it through her hair while she sat on the edge of the bed.

Allen stepped into the waiting room and up to the counter, "I'm here to see Mrs Willows...She was in the cancer ward?" The Nurse looked him over and then started typing on the computer. After a few minutes she looked up at him, "Mrs Willows was checked out of the hospital...4 months ago as far as I can tell..." Allen breathed in a little and his mind began racing. How could she have been checked out? Did she start to get better? Was the drug he had came up with for her finally taking effect? These questions and many more were racing through his head as he stumbled over to a payphone. As he dialed the number a lump began forming in his chest. What if she answered? What if she didn't? What if she had memory loss? Allen almost hung up the phone when a familiar voice answered the line, "Hello? Kershaw residence...May I ask who's calling?" Allen knew that voice...It was his mother in law, "Helen? Its me...Allen." Her voice started trembling and it was clear that she had started crying, "Oh Allen...When they found the wreck I assumed the worst...But then I saw the news..." Allen breathed in a bit, "Helen...Is she there...Can I talk to her?" The line was silent for almost a whole minute, "Oh Allen...I'm so sorry..." Allen could feel himself heating up, "I have to go Helen...I just...I have to go!" He shot out of the hospital at top speed and took off to the place he knew she would be. When she had first gotten sick she had talked about where she wanted to be buried, Under the weeping willow as a joke to her new last name. Allen flew until he found himself landing in the graveyard next to the willow...and there under it stood a headstone that read, "Here lies Ellen Willows. Loving wife and dedicated doctor. She died doing what she loved. " Allen sunk to his knees and simply sobbed. He cried until he screamed and his screams filled the air with his pain as he wrapped his arms around the headstone. Allen cried until he was lying next to the headstone curled up barely alive, "Why? Why? Oh God...Why?"

Al stroked the beast's fur lightly as he lounged on Jacks couch. He was heavily enjoying being able to rest after everything they had been through, but he had to question what they would do next. "Whaddya think?" He asked the beast, who merely snorted in response. Suddenly its head perked up and moved away from and took off upstairs probably to return to Sky or Jade or whatever the hell her name was. He really would actually have to properly introduce himself to the girl eventually, the beast definitely seemed to take to her pretty fast. For that matter Allen and Jack were both gone still and he hoped the two were alright even if just a few hours prior he was ready to fight the scientist. Whatever was taking them he would worry about it when they came back.

The beast moved back to Jade's side as she brushed hear hair and laid at her feet.

Jason stood outside the door to mansion, he had been following the group unseen since the escape from the tubes. He fought from behind, hoping to never alert them to his presence. But now he stared at the front door, unlocked thanks to a small lockpick, then pushed it open. He limped into the household in his torn clothes from the fighting, a scar carved from the top left of his left eyebrow to the botto right corner of his lips was evident against his pale white skin and electric blue eyes. The boy looked like he had experienced hell (with the events recently, Jason was convinced he had). He was still armed, seeing as his weapons came from a military base that had been destroyed. Though Jason held no weapon as he entered. Then promptly collapsed from the exaughstion and injuries. His metal arm making a loud clanging noise on the floor. One that anybody in the house probably would have heard.

Melony was in car form, driving along the road and trying to get to the mansion as swiftly as possible without drawing any needed attention. Which was kind of hard seeing as she was a driver-less Lambo taking shortcuts across the roads. Still she kind of made it work in her own strange way, honking her horn and making others angry.

When she arrived at the mansion she slowly shifted back, walking inside and finding a man lying there on the floor. That twas a major bummer, she checked his pulse and shrugged. Stepping over him and taking a tour of the house.

Al's eyes shot open from the sudden noise. Whatever it was put him on edge ,and the sound of it didn't sound like it was Allen or Jack coming back. He'd find out what it was soon enough as he levitated over to the front door. His eyes nearly bulged out of his head when he saw the collapsed guy on the ground and what was even more surprising than the dude's metal arm was the chick walking away from his body. His hand burst into flames and he aimed it at her. "I suggest stopping right there lest you want it to get really hot in here."
