Oh, it's just a straight up bolt of lightning, nothing secret. I can see how the faction sheet could make it seem like I was creating a super mage, but he's mostly a fighter. The only reason it'd be OP is if I had a super dope fighter who could also throw around tons of magic. I'm thinking my character is a bit worse than yours in straight up combat, and he's squishier but he also has a bunch of magic tricks up his sleeve to even the playing field. Here's a WIP to explain better.

Appearance: Charon, like most of his race, is somewhat taller than the average human and sports a well muscled, athletic build. He has a strong jawline and grizzled facial features, in addition to his many scars, including one which runs down the right side of his face. His eyes are a deep blue, and his hair is a greyish white, worn short on top and shaved on the sides. The color of his skin flecks is a light, slightly pale purple. He tends to use a short beard and his hood to hide his face in public, as the sight of a Keeper is not always welcome.

Equipment: Most often, Charon is seen wearing light leather armor under a thick hooded robe, which matches the color of his flecks.
Boots of the Gale: Charon wears a pair of black leather boots with permanent inscriptions on the bottom, which act as a conduit for his enchanting magic. When activated, strong winds whip around his feet, allowing Charon to jump high into the air.
Sword of the Storm- Charon’s bastard sword is permanently inscribed with arcane symbols, allowing him to bestow the powers of both thunder and lightning unto it. When it’s primary ability is activated, the sword is swung and produces a directed shockwave. Its secondary ability temporarily turns the sword into bolt of lightning, which Charon can hurl at his foes.

Bound magical abilities are those bestowed upon his items, activated through the inscriptions on them. Each bound inscription he places on an item costs him 3 years of life. None of Charon’s items possess any innate magical power, and therefore require magical input to be activated. Using each item’s ability, Gale Jump, Thunder Clap, and Lightning Strike siphons away a portion of Charon’s own lifeforce in a magnitude of 1:2:5 respectively. This means the more magic he uses, the weaker he becomes until the point where he collapses. Therefore, though Charon has the capacity to be extremely dangerous, he is limited by the fact that once he’s used up his magic, he’s done. This makes him most useful as a sort of “Glass Cannon”.
