"I am simply a guardian of the circle now no need for the compliment." Ansen replied, waving off the comment of him being an able fighter. The friendly gesture was still evident, but his tone shifted to a more concerned and serious tone. "You know when the word darkness leaves someone's mouth one of us will show up to watch over the ones we vowed to protect... Seems like your demon friend is a handful though and I am somewhat glad I made the decision to arrive at such a time! So good sir..." The Cianid said, crossing his arms and looking over at Jason. He paused for a long moment then spoke in a more hushed volume. "I know our more religious arm is screaming execution... We might have a political nightmare between church and royalty by the time this is over. I appreciate you holding this fair trial, though. I never really got such a luxury and that almost got me put to death." A chuckle escaped the wolfish creature but he quickly came to his conclusion, his eyes locked on the demon that was being guarded. "What do you think? I for one can not see anything other than a rebellious child in him but.. I've only been here for a few minutes."

The kitsune who was left alone by the Cianid simply sighed and watched him walk off, later seeing the small group of circle members accumulating just down the halls and near the front gate. They soon dispersed and pretty much followed in Ansen's footsteps into the courtroom. Despite the seriousness of such a distraction the little fox could only laugh and wait at the gate for any more newcomers. "We could probably make do with the,few days like Ansen said... Oh well."

"So that's it. I get called a hypocrite and you all go off for a recess. Are we going to ignore the four templars were supposdely killed by me, but yet stand right here? This is bullshit. Not me getting angry because he called my mother things that defiled her name." Jason yelled after the man. Then he flipped the chair up usinf a telekinetic push and calmly sat in it. Looking up at the guards. "You're all dead if you don't free me. I'm sure the prophecy has reached this land by now, they're dangerous things to go against. You deny one part and bam. Your people lay shattered. We know about your sacred relics and have built defenses against them. Why don't you tell that to your commander." Jason said, then looked around for the basket the princess had given him. Upon seeing it a few feet away the boy stood up and strode towards it. His stomach grumbling loudly from the lack of food he had been given. He really hoped the templars would at least let him eat the food that the princess (possibly only kind person around here) had given him. Otherwise people would get hurt.

Anders could hear Jason and simply ignored it for the moment. "All this boy has done is whine that he's been dealt an unjustice. No respect for the law. Uncivilized shit mostly. He acts as if we've shown the armies of hell all we have, but we have also prepared for any foreseen setbacks. I think he's just getting desperate. Amusing really, I could have him stand in front of the barracks, and he'd be the best jester we've had in ages. But as you say, it is mostly up to the jurors to see if the templars get their party... This whole trial has been a massive headache. He talks a lot, but you know how those people are. Usually the first to die in battle."

Anders then noticed the beastman's symbol that confirmed what he had said before. "I suppose I will see you later. I've had some experience with the darkness, so I've been invited for the circle meeting. As for the demon, I'm not so sure. If I lean too far on one side, the other will grill me. If I go somewhere in the middle, both sides will probably be mad at me for not being too militant. On one side, there is the Templar-Commander, and on the other, there is the princess. Not sure which one I should be more scared of at the moment."

Anders looked over to the jurors, who were still arguing. "This trial is shorter than a normal one however. The jurors will tell me their decision, and the recess will end and so will the trial in a few moments. It has already wasted precious moments that could be used on more important things. Usually these things would take a few days, but you know how it is in these times."

He extended his hand in goodwill. "Perhaps introductions are in order. I am Anders. Captain of the Preatorian. And you are?"

Elaine had stopped trying to look like she knew what she was doing, and now she decided to look for help. She was trying to remember who she was even looking for though...a member of the group would be great, what were they called...something that started with an "s" she thought...she knew they were all supposed to gather here today, which was the exact reason she was here. Being attacked personally by the darkness left her wanting to strike back, having the magic item she now had with her would allow her to do just that, but she couldn't do it alone, she had came here from a town or two over to try and convince the group to let her join, or at least to travel with them. She knew they might not take her seriously, considering her age...but that wasn't going to stop her. "Oh pardon me" she mumbled as she bumped into someone, she didn't realize she was still walking when she had zoned off... "I'm very sorry..." she trailed off a bit as she turned to see who she had bumped into, a small figure, a small figure with...interesting features. Elaine just stared at the Kitsune with wide eyes, she had never seen a creature...or person(?) like this before..."Uhm..." she said softly, trying to formulate words, she had a million new questions to ask now. Forgetting her lost situation she was now completely interested in the what where and how of this small creature who stood in front of her. She had seen a beastman before but this was new to her, maybe they were related? Would that be rude to ask? Racist even? She didn't know, talking to grown ups was sometimes confusing to her. Wait how did she know this was a grown up? Perhaps this was just a young beastman...no, there were differences...maybe? She was confusing herself the more she thought about it. "HELLO" the young girl blurted out, that was...usually a good way to start talking...

Dusk had left as soon as a recess was mentioned, this wasn't exactly his cup of tea so an easy excuse from it would be nice...not that anyone would care that he left, or notice really, but Dusk hadn't really thought much about it. He was to preoccupied in his mind with what he would be doing today, or who he would be meeting. He had been far from action for a long while now, and doing something proactive was a very nice notion to him as of right now. He made his way towards the gates, his horse still needed to be fed today, and he didn't trust stablehands anymore, one had left his poor little Alice without a good meal for a couple of days straight. He arrived at the stables and walked without hesitation to where his horse was kept, she was cleaned and was already face deep hay, Dusk sighed, "Having a good time?" his steed lifted their head to his eye level and flared their nostrils as reply, still chewing a decent wad of meal. "Good to hear..." he said as he patted the creature on it's head, he sighed and started to walk off. He needed something to do...all this waiting was getting to him, he wasn't the type to sit by and let others do things, never was.

Feress, the kitsune shifted to the right a bit as a girl brushed past him, his ears flicking back and forth. When she turned and gave him the wide eyed look he could only respond with a nervous smile fueled out of both shyness and alienation. He could tell she was in a related state by how she spoke and stood and eventually he himself drifted into a more relaxed state, opening his mouth to speak to the young girl. "Can I help you young lady?" It was probably awkward that she was such a young age, yet she was almost as tall as he was. "You don't see young girls like yourself wandering within the walls on a typical day."

Arya calmed down and Lyari let go of her. She stood up and turned around shooting him an angry glare before walking away to one of the castle guards. Lyari sighed running his hand through his hair. Great, just what he needed, an angry Arya. What was she planning? He looked at her as she talked to one of the guards. It looked like she was giving him orders.

"Dear sir please go get half of the other troops of the royal guard. Tell them to come here. Tell them to protect the half-demon at all costs." The guard bowed. "Then I'll be of now princess." Arya nodded. "Okay thank you guard." The guard left the building. The castle guard was only loyal to the royal family and had served them for generations. Eventhough Arya was but half a princess, the guards loved her. She was always very kind to them. Arya felt someone watching her and turned her head at Lyari's direction who quickly looked away.

Lyari now eyed the half-demon, watching him every move. He didn't trusted him at all, and the fact that Arya wanted to help that guy didn't make it any better.

"Ansen, circle guardian. A general, eh? I remember those days, having men trust you and fight for you till victory or till you say its over." Ansen replied, still observing the room from the doorway. He watched Jason go for the basket, then watched the two unique individuals having another disagreement amongst eachother, according to his judgement. He saw the female get up and speak to the guard, then saw the guard coming his way in attempt to leave the courthouse. "Listen, general.. Let me take the kid out under my wing for the remainder of the recess. The longer he stays here the more violent this situation will become. Besides, maybe a less hostile environment will be a better one for this boy." The Cianid warned in a quiet tone, not even using the term demon despite what he heard.

When the royal guard Arya had sent was just within arm's reach the guardian turned to face him, holding his left hand out to stop the guard who was leaving the court room from walking past him. "If you wish to not challenge a blade you will first tell me what you are up to, do not try to lie." It was a risky move on his part, but since he was present he might as well try to keep the peace.

Elaine blinked then looked about, the walls that were just mentioned were indeed there. "Oh..." she looked back to the creature and titled her head ever so slightly, "help, yes, I think I'm looking for someone...from a group..." she stopped for a fraction of a second then picked up again, "That's why I'm here...i-in the castle" she was trying her best to not seem as young and useless as she felt, "I think the group starts with...an s, sir...sir, something" she was beating herself up inside that she couldn't remember the name, it was such a simple name, she had repeated it so many times and now it was just out of reach...sir...pent? sir...viss? she didn't know... "Would you...know anything about it?" she made a little less eye contact every time she asked a question, but her curiosity brought her stare back to the details of this small figure. She was taking in every odd little thing that she had never seen before, which was a lot. Unlike some people, she did not try to hide the fact she was scanning the person over, she stopped her eyes on the little paw pendant that the figure was wearing. It looked familiar to her for some reason...

"I see..." The kitsune replied, his ears drooping a bit when he noticed she was looking over his body. Eventually after feeling slightly uncomfortable about some girl reading his body like a book Feress wrapped his cloak around himself and pinned it shut so to keep his foxy image covered up to his neck. "Sir... Sir.. I unsure what exactly you speak of. Perhaps I can help you recollect you're thoughts? I am Feress, a scholar or researcher of the circle." With that, his pawish hand emerged from the cloak he was using for cover, offering the girl a handshake.

When the...man, pinned his cloak shut Elaine blinked and drew her eyes back to his face, as if she was asleep and someone clapped really loudly in front of her face. "Sir...kull" "Circle!" she repeated loudly, "They, you, are who I am looking for!" she smiled as the world began to make sense again. "I-my name is Elaine." she took his hand and jolted a bit at the feel, she had somehow managed to forget that this creature was not a human and was indeed, covered with fur. "It's nice to meet you Mr.Far-ess" she bobbed his hand up and down vigorously, "I came here because I heard your group would be meeting..." she drew her hand back abruptly to hold her satchel up, "I'm already ready to travel!" she said with some pride. "Oh, are we going to be riding horses? I have never ridden one before..." she looked to the stables nearby then quickly back to Feress, she had been told before it was rude to not keep eye contact when talking with someone, and she wanted to get along well with people from the Circle.

The Royal Guard looked at the beastman. "I'm under strict orders from the princess. Orders that I can not tell you. I have sworn an oath." He held his hand to his chest. "Now let me pass, for this is not your kingdom." The guard pushed past him.
Arya looked at the half-demon and smiled seeing him reaching for the basket she left for him. It was then that she noticed the royal guard beeing held up by a man... er, beast... beastman? She watched from afar making sure the guard got out.

Sakura heard the other jurors bickering, most going on about how the demon should be killed. This depressed her, had a mans rant convinced them so much? But then again, how could one go on the words of a demon? Especially when he 'supposedly' pulled out those four soldiers. How could one tell if they were real or mere disguises thrown on by demons who put on a show for the crowd?

Then she heard the princess tell a Royal Guard to get a detachment to guard the boy. This depressed her even more. A future queen who couldn't see past emotions and personal thoughts. She approached the girl and placed a hand on her shoulder "I assure you, my hand is quite clean, but what ever you have planned, I hope you've thought it through. Because the consequences of your action may be dire and unwanted". She walked off towards Jason, maneuvering past the guards that were already around him. She stared at him, waiting for him to acknowledge her, her arms crossed, and the cold gaze coming from her single eye.
Caroline watched as Sakura entered the ring of guards, her fists clenched. Did she realize she was approaching the boy alone? Shortly after, Caroline's calves tensed up, ready to bowl in and save Sakura should the worst happen.

As Jason went for the basket, the same guard who had been scared because he was lying earlier, stepped in front of him. "Not yours punk." He said, Jason ignored him and went for the basket anyways. Technically, it actually was his. But then he fell backwards, as the guards sword hilt connected with his face, leaving an almost instant black eye on the boy. Jason glared daggers at the man, then spun himself around quickly. Taking out the guard's legs and sending his sword flying up into the air. The other two charged but were thrown back against either side of the circle with enough force to knock them both out cold. Jason caught the sword and held it to the templar on the floor's throat, his foot on the man's chest. "I could always make Glacius's statement true and kill you right now." He says calmly. Then he notices the person in front of him and looks at her defiantly. "He hit me. He lied to try to get me jailed. He desverses death."

Before the Royal Guard moved to protect the demon, he had already taken out three of them. Arya looked at the scene that was caused. The boy now on top of one of the templars planning to rip his head of. Arya's feet moved on her own as she rushed into the fight. "Arya don't!" She heard Lyari call after her. The princess throwed herself inbetween the templar and the half-demon. "Stop this!" She yelled looking down at the ground. "Don't do this.. Don't be the monster they claim you to be. Cause you're not." It was now dead silent in the court. Arya slowly looked up at the boy's face. "Don't..."
Behind her the Royal Guard were holding back some of the templers.

Jason's breathing was rapid, still angry, but he gradualy slowed it down and tossed the sword to the side, firmly out of any of the templars' reach. He reached up and touched his brow, where blood was running slowly from a small cut. "That. That is the monster my father created." He said simply and looked down, noticing rhe basket was crushed by the templar. "I ruined your gift. My apologies princess." He whispers softly

Ansen blinked when a fight erupted right in front of him and took a deep breath, glancing over at the general before he went to join the crowd and grab Jason, disregarding any word of discouragement that came his way. The guardian brushed past the templars and growled at the few who were more stubborn than the more compliant ones. Once he reached the princess and the half demon a long with a few others the guardian approached the group but focused his approach on the two stars of the show, the demon and the princess.

When he was close enough the Cianid placed a pawish hand on each of the two, his eyes glancing between each of them as he spoke. "Why don't you two come with me for the moment? Before..." He nodded towards the knocked out guards and then to the templars before speaking in a different tone. "My loyalty doesn't reside with the kingdom nor the church as a circle member. I am here to keep to my oath and uphold my obligations as a guardian." A smile crept up on the beastman's face and his tail did a sway. "Consider yourselves lucky! Not every you have someone make a sudden appearance to stop you from getting yourselves killed."

"It's okay." the girl said to the half-demon. "It's just food I can always make others for you." she smiled. Suddenly a pawish hand was on top of hers. A beastman spoke to her and told them to come with him for their safety. Arya looked at the boy in front of her and then at the beastman. She knew that they were both in big trouble, anything would be better then to stay here now. Her guards all were busy keeping the templars away from them but they wouldn't be able to keep it up for much longer. She saw that the Guard who she gave her orders to had dissapeared, That must mean reënforcements were on its way now. The princess looked at the Cianid and nodded accepting to go with him.

Jason looked up at the beastman. "Probably better." He said as well and waited for him to lead the way to wherever the beastman planned on leading them. "Wherever we are going, can we at least get my sword back? They took it." He said

Anders watched the fight break out, and the beastman stepped in to sort of stop it.

It didn't calm the Praetorians at the trial though, and they unsheathed their weapons, and the battle mage accompanying them started to chant spells. The Templar at the court hearing, of course saw this as a chance to gore the boy out, and a few eagerly came out, waiting for the demon to do anything that would warrant the demon's death. The Praetorians shoved one of the royal guards out of the way, and a war between military and royalty seemed at hand...

But Anders grabbed the arm of one of the royal guard, shaking his head. "Stand down. You have overstepped your boundaries." His fellow Praetorian were also about to make heads roll, but he raised his hand, signaling them to stop. "This boy may be the most gigantic pain in the ass. Yes, he did offer the death penalty for a simple smack to the face. Yes, he offered it for lying as well. It seems he does not understand the laws of this land. He is a demon after all. He's obviously bloody uncivilized. He'd probably call for the death penalty if someone took his bib away from him." A few of the Templar and Praetorian laughed hearing this, but the atmosphere was grim.

He watched as Jason moved towards Ansen. Perhaps it was for the best. "Okay Ansen. I am trusting you with him. But mark my words. If that boy... does anything like this again, may i had, this is the third time... Even your circle with not protect him from the Templar's wrath... Not to mention mine as well. And I have killed many demon before boy. You're pond scum compared to them, so don't get any funny ideas." The Templar, a bit disappointed, still knew the chain of command, and they began leaving the courthouse.

"And you princess... Do not bring your royal guard in here ever again to interfere with the military. I'd hate to see good men die because of a noble's own intentions. I'm sure the King would not agree with this use of the royal guard as well."

Anders spotted the Erolyte, and he walked over to her. "Erolyte. I know your people are indifferent to the affairs of mankind and demons. Tell me.... what do you think should be done to this demon..."
