Sakura looked at Jason one more time before turning to Anders "I will need to ask him a single question before I can come to a conclusion." She walked up to the boy. Her face inches away from his "Earlier, you said you cared for the good. How can I tell you're you spoke the truth? What proof do you have that your story is written in history and not fabricated to make you appear innocent?" She paused briefly "You do know that my decision will determine whether you walk out of here alive, or eaten alive by both the Templars and Praetorians." She quickly shot a look to the Princess "And your new founded girlfriend's guards won't stop them." her voice turned to a whisper "As the simple statement "he's guilty" will make both parties blood thirsty, and I'll make sure you're eaten alive." She waited for his response, and hoped it would be the one she was expecting

She already knew what she was going to say, but she wanted to hear his thoughts anyway, as well as test his determination to be set free.

"Well. My first proof, is this" he said and pulled up his shirt. Scars crossed all over his toned body. He released his shirt and let it fall back to normal. "Scars don't lie. I've been tortured relentlessly for most of my life. You want my second proof?" Then he says in the ancient language of elders; "Mentiuntur meorum testor: ut anima, non potest esse unus de senioribus in lingua, et non potest fallere. Et verum est, iam non mentiri me hodie" (that is google translated latin. As I don't speak or know latin that's the best I can do. This is the english translation:I swear on my soul that I do lie, In the language of the elders one can not lie, and one can not cheat. My story is true and I have not lied once on this day). He looked straight at the person talking to him, knowing that her species usually understood that language

Ansen stood beside the two he offered a way out to when Sakura approached and spoke to,Jason. He was fully aware Ander's warning and knew whatever Jason does will bounce back at him. He simply sighed under his breath, and spoke up once again, his eyes locked on the one questioning Jason. "When you have your fill I will go ahead and take these two outside for a stroll. I do not think its in our bests interest to rest our hands on the handle of our blades throughout this whole debacle of a trial." He said, glancing over at Anders as he thought over the general's words. One thing was noticeable was the fact Jason's cut up body didn't seem to have the beastman's full interest... Perhaps it was because of the scars of war he carried, or perhaps he already knew what being a victim of darkness was like. Regardlesa, he hid that darker truth very well, anf kept to the things that needed to be done in order to make sure no real blood was spilt in this courtroom.

Sakura smiled when she heard a language not spoken often outside the cities and towns of the Erolyte Empire. "Then do understand when I say this. Ego tradam tibi custodire potissimum ad hoc vim non curat liberos esse iubere." (Approximate Translation: I will assign myself to watch over you, it is best this way to ensure you don't have to resort to violence to be free.) She awaited his response, yet she was generally happy that she could finally speak another language that she knew, to someone who could understand it. She looked to Caroline and nodded, causing Caroline to finally relax. Her attention then turned back to Jason.

Anders simply watched and waited for them to stop talking. When they were finished, he turned to the Erolyte. "So, do we have a verdict? I'm not keen on prolonging this trial more than I have to. It's already been an pain in the ass to simply judge. Then we can all go along our merry way..." He glanced at the royal guards and his own men, who were still both on edge. "So what's it going to be? War with the royals, or war with the church, eh?" Quite honestly, a war would calm his nerves down after this trial... He'd quickly state the verdict and everyone could just go home...

Ansen stared at Sakura and took a deep breath when he realized his efforts of communications were futile. After he waited and took in his surroundings again, the Cianid gave a soft pap on Jason's shoulder, leaning forward abit to speak to him. "Your weapon I do not have. Perhaps when this court session is over they will hand it to you if I can persuade them to... Which will be difficult. What is your name young man?" He glanced over at the princess and nodded to her, but the vibe coming from him said a lot about how he did not necessarily approve of her quick judgement that could've caused a lot of people to fight each other to the death.

Jason smiled lightly and nodded. "Thank you." He said softly. "I want them to return my sword. A weapon like has the power to kill them if they try to discover its secrets. Its designed by demons for demons." He says, then his eyes shift over to Arya. "She's not my girlfriend. I wouldn't trust myself to engage in such a relationship. I'm a monster inside. She's just the only human who wasn't openly hostile to me today." He says. He turned towards Ansen. "Jason Verdunt. Son of Lucifer, King of the Demons. Thought I'm not proud of that second part" He said

Sakura turned to Anders "I do have your verdict, and it involves a war with neither parties" She looked at everyone in the room, mainly focusing on the soldiers who were brimming with the need to fight "I will be choosing an option that was not conceived of earlier. I assign him to be under my watch at all times." She paused to let that sink into everyone "I will be taking full responsibility of Mr. Verdunt, if he goes out of control and I fail to stop him, then you will have the right to behead us both without trial." She stared chillingly towards Anders, she was completely serious, no trace of emotion on her face.

Caroline stood frozen, until a voice spoke in her head. Get ready, this has the possibility of backfiring. And her muscles tensed up again and jaw clenching. She was ready to go.

Ansen nodded to Jason and tipped his hat back so to reveal more of his face. "Ansen, I work off names not off of titles, but many call me a circle guardian for what I did and still do to this day." He replied, opening his mouth to speak again before falling silent upon hearing Sakura's word. The Cianid's ears twitched upon hearing them, and he stared at her for a long minute before extending a hand towards the girl with a warm smile. "If you wish to do that then allow me to help and carry your burden as well, Erolyte... I seem to be the first to ask for such a responsibility, after all." The guardian pointed out, glancing over at Anders as he spoke, the general knew it was because of what he said in response to the request Ansen proposed. He will be a difficult one to handle... I can already see that.

Feress blinked and his ears twitched, obviously surprised with what Elaine said. The kitsune hesitated at first, then spoke up, knowing there were a few complications involved with what she wanted to do. "I am unsure how we are traveling.. But miss Elaine this is a dangerous journey... How old are you? And why do you want to do this?" He asked, breaking the handshake. The researcher obviously seeming nervous over the idea of having an eight year old with the group... After all if a child were to die because he couldn't say no, he would never forgive himself.

"Alright then. I'll call off the recess. However, I'll need to add something to the verdict to make sure the Templars don't get upset... by this new turn of events." Anders walked back up to the podium, and called the trial back in session.

"I have the verdict. The demon will not be executed." Anders swore he could feel the rage of the templars heating up the building. "The circle member Ansen... and the Erolyte will be this demon's custodians." And before a riot could start, he added his own judgement to the trial. "However... The demon will not be allowed in any public spaces other than the roads, and the lodging we give him. He will gain food not from the merchants or taverns, he will not be allowed in the parks. He will not respond to any insult that is thrown his way... no matter the severity. I do not care if they throw a bloody anvil at you, you will not retaliate. If you are harmed, your custodians may bring it up with me, and the proper authorities will deal with it, but only if there was physically harm done. And yes, even if they do call your mother a whore, you WILL not respond in kind. You will also have to keep your distance from any Templars, or the Templar District of the city. Any violations of these rules, and you die. There will be no negotiations on either side. This court has been adjourned."

Luckily, the Templars, while a bit sour that the demon did not die, seem content enough and began leaving. They had no reason to stay if there was no public execution. Others stayed to chat, or did likewise as the Templars.

He then turned to Ansen and Sakura. "It may not have been exactly what you wanted, but it was the only way to keep the peace. I will see you later at the circle meeting Ansen. And perhaps you as well Erolyte."

Elaine's smile faltered at the Kitsune's questions, "Well...I'm eight...sir" her eyes were shying away from his again. "I...have...a few reasons...." she paused for a small while then let her hand float over to her pendant, "this is, a magical...item, it has protected me before, I can survive, you don't have to worry about that...I'm not just some kid...I can help..." her voice became a little more unsure as she went along, she had still not connected eyes again. "I can...help" she seemed to be assuring more then just Feress at this point. She had begun shifting from foot to foot, she expected something this to happen but she didn't exactly plan for it...she knew it would be hard to convince them....maybe even impossible...But that wouldn't stop Elaine, "impossible" didn't exist to her anymore...many things that she though were "impossible" happened to her..."I really...can help" she said with a bit more of a solid tone. She wanted this, if not for revenge, then to prove that she could.

Frees stared at her for a long minute as if reading her for the legitimacy of her word. His eyes seem to have a glow to them, a very faint one but moments later they closed shut as he shook his head and made his decision. "... Alright alright but you must stay by me. Even if that means same tent." He said in a firm and unexpectedly serious tone before it faded into a more friendly and bright one as he continued. "I can see the warrior in you!" He stated, his eyes opening again, "perhaps you can help me develop the cure this land needs for it's sickness... Or help the others slay those that drive to kill me because of my mission to try and stop the darkness for good. But only if you're in my presence like I said before. Whaddya say?" The pawish hand was held out to her, this one having a bigger meaning. Taking the hand meant she would leave for the fight against all evil, this wasn't a job for a typical girl.

Elaine listened to thee words, feeling more and more encouraged as they were said. Her face lit up as he was finishing his sentence, she had a grin that a thousand locks couldn't contain, she looked at his hand for a moment as if in disbelief, but in the same amount of time she clasped it with both of her own, shaking it even more furiously then she had the first time. "Oh, thank you very much! I will listen to whatever you say! I won't be far from you, no siree! I can fight or help you study!" She stopped, but only to catch her breath, "I will make you proud!" she finished, she was beaming now, exuding an odd happiness, despite what she had just gotten herself into. She would have stood there nearly all day just smiling at the man if her stomach had not interrupted her with a surprisingly large growl, one so large in fact that a passerby stopped to look around for it's source. "...Would you like some fruit?" she asked all of a sudden, not seeming embarrassed of the situation,. she rummaged through her bag for a small tin, she twisted it's cap and popped it off, showing some leathery dried apricots inside. "I still have a few, i'm sure enough for two" she stared at it hungrily for a second before motioning it to him instead, she seemed determined to not just gorge herself as she wanted to, and had each day walking here.

Dusk watched as many a Templar left the building, it seemed court was already over...and that was either a very fast execution...or something surprising had just happened. To sate his new-found curiosity in the trial Dusk approached one of the passing Templar, "hello there, my I ask what fate was decided for the young demon? I seemed to have missed the verdict..." With a dissatisfied look the Templar explained the situation, not without giving his own personal opinion on the matter of course. "I see...well thank you then, have a good day!" Dusk had already turned to look at the building as he finished his statement, and the Templar didn't seem offended enough to stay. "How very interesting..." Dusk said to no one in particular, perhaps waiting here so long wasn't so bad after all...

Sakura took the hand offered to her and gave a strong shake, smiling back at Ansen.

After the verdict was announced, she turned Anders "You will see me there no doubt." She said, with a warm smile. "Names Sakura, Sakura Kirei. Your kind gave me the nickname Yokai, don't know if you've heard me come up in any conversations" She didn't seem pleased, or displeased with that fact. She obviously didn't know of any recent stories, or gossip as humans called it, that the humans had come up with since her last visit 4 years ago. That was her last year of tutoring, and she had been hired to tutor a young girl, but both the name and face escaped her memory. "While I don't mind the addition, it does make the chaperoning much tougher now. But at least we prevented a blood bath from happening today."

"Girlfriend?" Arya looked at Sakura. "I just did what was right, protecting an innocent person." Arya turned away and sighed as she heard the judgement. At least no harm would come to him. She looked at her guards. "Guards stand down. Thank you for your help. You are dismissed." The Royal guard bowed and silently left the courthouse. Jason was now under the custody of the beastman and Erolyte, Arya was sure to stick around a bit longer.

"Ah. Ms.Kirei. I've heard many a rumor... I wonder.... Nonetheless... It is a pleasure meeting you, fair lady." Even the Templar-Commander had spoken about her on occassion. Anders wondered slightly if the rumors regarding the archmage of the city and her were true but... He did not wish to dawdle in her personal affairs. "I do suppose war has been averted..." Anders glared at the princess for a few moments.. He did not know if the princess knew how her actions almost brought the empire into civil war.. but he did not have the authority to lecture her directly, nor did he have the time. He soon turned his gaze back to Sakura. "But the darkness comes closer and closer to our borders... I do not know how much longer the human empire can last against frequent, mass attacks by the darkness... only time will tell. The sooner the circle meets up and is able to find a way to combat the threat, the better the situation will be.

"I expect the return of my sword. Your kind are no better than the demons, human, I do not know why you hold yourselves higher than us." Jason says before turning to leave. "I'm going to the borders. I need time to think." He says as he walks out. Not angry, but frustrated. Whenever he reached the shadows, the boy simply teleportec out to the borders of this city-state. Standing alone on a cliff and watching the wilderness going about its day. He wished he could simply live among them, ignore these petty humans and their petty distrust of anything not like them. Theh had denied him his rights, and yet we still half human. He was partly like them. It was times like this he missed his mother, she would have been able to keep him calm and let him go free.

Arya watched Jason walk out frustrated. "I'll go get him back." She said to the others thinking that Anders and the others would probably go get him back instead. She didn't wait for the others to stop her and ran after him, seeing him walk into the shadows and suddenly disappear. She stopped when she reached the point where he teleported himself. She crouched and touched the ground closing her eyes. "Manke ro auta. Ama handasse." She spoke in elvish, trying to track him down. Her mind connected to his for a second and she saw a cliff in front of her. She opened her eyes and swiftly made her way through the woods. After some time she saw a cliff in front of her with Jason standing alone. She found him. "Jason!" Arya called out to him catching his attention. She walked over to him.

Jason turned to look at the girl who called his name. "Princess, to what do I owe this distinct honor?" He says in a soft tone towards the girl. His electric blue eyes searched hers, though a tint of sadness was obvious in them. "I'm horribly disappointed in how your species acted. What they did today is something I expect out of the demons. There was no way I could have won that trial. He was going to either execute me or force me into being treated like a subhuman." He says with a sigh, then looks up at the Princess as he waits for her response

Arya shook her head. "You've been treated like no man should be treated. My apologies. Not all humans are like that. I assure you." She looked away slightly sighing. "So what are you going to do, now that the judgement is known." She looked at him with worry in her dark silver eyes. "If you want, my friend and me can give you some food from the castle every now and then. When we go on hunts we can also give you some meat if you'd like."
