They finally arrived. Right in front of them stood Athalia Academy, a place filled with wonders. The footsoldiers stopped walking when Thane motioned them to halt. Apophis continued to take a few more steps before staring at the place with wide eyes.
"At long last," Apophis whispered, his face looking as if it were about to fall off. "It's nearly time. The battle nears, oh, friends of mine..."
The hollow man felt it. The presences of so many with power, agility, magic, and-
His eyes shot open from his trance. The angel was a little farther than he had anticipated. He felt something repelling his aura from a building that did not actually belong to the academy itself, but rather, someone else. It was an ugly feeling.
He quickly replaced the ugly feeling with a wide smile, grinning at the three footsoldiers as he whispered,
"We're here."
The soldiers gulped.
Thane, who had been eyeing the academy for some time with his arms crossed, turned to Apophis. The ninja did not exactly know what to do right at the moment, and as much as he hated to admit it, Apophis was a mastermind when it came to strategies. He wanted to at least hear what the insane deity thought they should do.
"Thane," Apophis said, his back turned to the demons, along with the cursed human, "watch over the soldiers. If they fail their mission, just drag them out of combat. And you soldiers should just fight, fight, fight anyone you see... And as for me, I decided..."
The orange-robed ninja cringed when Apophis turned around. The completely dark portion of his skin had begun to fall apart. Apophis had smiled too much. Dark energy seeped out of the flesh that began to become too loose for him to use. In fact, the energy was strong enough to make Thane back a step away from him.
He whispered laughs of madness, the impure thoughts of getting his hands on the foolish angel beginning to surface in his head. He would do more than just gut her alive. He would not kill her just yet. Lucifer ordered him not to do so, after all. But seeing how far her emotional and spiritual limits could bend... seeing her undoubtly angelic face twist and contort into cries of fear...
The hollow man just could not wait to see her. With that said, he raised his hands, letting them face each other with loose strength put into holding them.
Thane's eyes widened. Without a second thought, he dove toward the footsoldiers and slammed all of their bodies on to the ground, sticking to it as much as possible.
Suddenly, a violently-pulsing amount of demonic aura began to emit out of Apophis. Even the demon soldiers cringed in pain, though Thane's sudden jump seemed to greatly save them a lot of trouble. Demonic energy crackled between Apophis' hands, his eyes bleeding out unknown energy in the form of lightning bolts that seemed to glow black-and-white rapidly. The energy grew and grew, and soon enough, a large orb of dark matter and corrupt magic had been gathered. It was quite big, for Apophis himself had to raise his hands over his head.
The hollow man, with all of his might, roared,
He then smashed his hands together, silencing every single technological device within the academy. They would be silenced for about an hour or so. The smash also sent a violent shockwave of demonic energy at the Brakos' household, but it was also able to be felt by even humans.
The skies grew darker... and the footsoldiers, along with Thane, had disappeared. Apophis had just made a good chance to let them enter the academy. They were not going to waste that chance any sooner.
