Ryuu Yamauchi

Ryuu sighed a breath of relief. He was beginning to calm down, much to his joy. With a wide, but somewhat shaky grin, he told David, "Y-Yeah. Doughnuts it is, eh?"

Suddenly, Serena seemed to take something out, but it did not catch his attention at first. After confirming David's "order," Ryuu turned to see just what she was doing, only to find that her tails and ears had disappeared.

...Wait a second.

Ryuu blinked, somewhat surprised to see her without tails more than when she initially had them. And without them, she certainly looked just like a regular human being. He was confused to no end, and he wanted to ask her about what she did to change her appearance so suddenly. But no words came out of his mouth, for he was at loss for words.

Yep, he thought with all of his wisdom intact. She's a Mahou Shoujo for real.

Alas, looking at her only proved to remind him one thing. In fact, there was pi[something[/i] he was trying to avoid looking at earlier, and had been successful until now.

Until now.

"...!@$@$#%@#$%^?!?!?!?!"

Ryuu had moved his eyes down by instinct to see where her tails had gone to, only to have finally imagined something he did not want to imagine.

For no apparent reason to anyone observing him, Ryuu felt the heat rush too quickly into his face and, with the might of a Hadouken, fired two lasers of blood out of his nose. It was inevitable. He was not used to women yet, and feeling such foreign emotions made him both confused, yet excited. His excitement, however, did vary in its definition. He was only able to think of one thing.

Ryuu Yamauchi said DATASS

Thankfully enough, he managed to actually catch his blood with his hands, barely preventing the floor from being tainted. In a comical fashion, Ryuu used his shoulder to motion them to stay still, excusing himself to a nearby restroom.

Shortly afterward, he came back, his hands and nose clean, as he silently cut in front of the two people he met.

"..."

Ryuu said nothing for a while, but soon turned around. His eyes had darkened unintentionally, and he simply told the two students,

"Someone punched me in the face, and I got over with it."

...

...

...

"...By the way, what do you want to order, Serena? I recommend biscuits, though if you have your own flavorful tastes, I won't mind."

As quickly as the darkness had come to his face, it brightened into his usual, awkward grin. So much for butts tails and women.
Jeanne R. Cortez

"'Tis a mighty fine food, I say!" Cortez said, her eyes shining as she admired the butterless pancake sitting in front of her. "I won't be leaving any quarter for this fellow!"

Cortez had been sitting by herself for approximately five minutes, and she was already coping with the fact that she knew no one. Sure, as a pirate captain, she was ashamed and disappointed with her choice of seats, but who was she to suddenly barge into a group of people at once? As a result, she decided to talk about her food to herself, and much to her own surprise, it was working very, very well.

"Young lad!" She finally mustered up the courage to ask a nearby passerby who was alone. "Who made this fine delicacy?"

"The chef."

"...Oh. Um, okay."

The passerby left, minding his own business again. Cortez went back to staring at her pancake.

...

Her face was eventually smashed into the table again.

"Father," she mumbled, letting out one pathetic sniff, "this becalmed daughter of yours may have found her black spot letter, aye..."

Cortez sighed. But despite her loneliness, she say straight up again, with a hardened expression. She made sure that a confident smile was on her face: her father always told her to smile when she felt bad. Now that its effects were working again, Cortez began to eat her food again.

Soon enough, she had finished her food quite quickly. The pirate captain felt like visiting the gardens!

Buuuuuuut she did not feel like going yet. She needed to let her tummy digest her food, so instead of doing something exciting, the redhead decided to flatten the upper portion of her body on the table. No one was going to sit there, anyway.

I will set sail in a minute! She thought. A minute is all I need to digest my grub, aye! No more heaving to, for there is a new kind of treasure I seek!

It was a very unfitting thought in contrast to her depressing pose.

Puck set his suitcase down on the bed, and exhaled heavily. His luggage appeared small, so anyone watching would assume the young man was out of shape. On the contrary, phookas are very strong for their usually small size, and the diminutive suitcase held more than met the eye. He had acquired it half a century ago, from a magician in London, and it could hold up to 12 times it's outside size. Unlike most extra-storage devices, however, this one doesn't remove any of the weight, making it rather hard to move.
Puck recovered his breath somewhat, and looked around his room. He hadn't seen any sign of his roommate yet, so had taken the liberty of claiming the room by the hall. He enjoyed sleeping late in the morning, and large windows let in too much light. As you enter the room, immediately to your right is a large oak bookcase, empty but for a few textbooks, presumably left by the previous occupant. Nearby, also on the right wall, is a light green couch, serviced by a glass-topped coffee table. A small
dresser/nightstand is at the end of the wall, and adjacent to it, on the back wall, stands the bed. It is covered in a dark red cloth, almost purple, with an abstract pattern of spiderwebs or flowers, Puck wasn't sure. The mattress is thick, and the springs make only a soft creak when depressed. It virtually radiates peace and quiet.
Near the foot of the bed, an indentation leads to a walk-in closet and the shared bathroom, which the phooka urgently needed to use. The bathroom was spacious and bright, even though it lacked windows and an obvious light source, and the beige tiled floor almost shone with cleanliness. Puck assumed this was the brownies at work, and hoped they would stay away while he did his business.
* * *
When he finished unpacking, Puck headed across the grounds in search of something to eat. It had been several hours since his light breakfast, and while he wasn't famished, a small rumble could be heard in his stomach.

Puck is in the garden, on his way towards the main building.

“I don’t really dislike History. But it still takes time while I could do so much more awesome stuff here.” David explained to her. “And about the family honor. I really have no idea how that all happened. My grandfather is obsessed with World War 1.My father with World War 2 and my older brother studies History as his Major in University. So obviously it’s very important.” He said to her with a relaxed smile.

“I bet your uncle won’t believe you when you tell him you aced P.E. “he said while laughing. It was something he thought he was good in. cheering for others. Motivating them. But then something amazing happened. Serena pulled out a little necklace, put it on and her tail and ears vanished. For a second he watch her in amazement. He wasn’t used to supernatural stuff so all this was pretty new for him. But unlike Ryuu he didn’t look at her vanishing tails. Instead he looked at her head.

“Oh.” He said, a little bit less happy. “Shame that those ears where gone. They were actually pretty cute.” He said without thinking. Then he realized what he said. “I mean –euhm- you also look cute without them…” he blurred out quickly. This is heading down the awkward lane! Turn back! Turn back! he thought to himself. “I mean, you look cute, with or without-“ but again, halfway he stopped himself. That’s it, you’re done. You screwed it over. Congratulations. Feel proud now? First friend you could have made and you do something like this. What isn’t she going to think? That you’re a flirter? That you think you can get every girl you want? Prepare for 4 years of humiliation. AGAIN! he thought to himself as his head was turning as red as a tomato. He decided to remain silent

Luckily Ryuu returned. A few minutes ago he walked away to a restroom. It looked like something happened to his nose. Was it bleeding? But now that he had returned everything seemed normal. Until he told them what happened. Somebody punched him square on the nose. The guy doesn’t flinch. Doesn’t fall over. Don’t shout out. He doesn’t even revenge. He doesn’t even care!? If he ever attacks me, resistance will be futile…I should start carrying a knife. David thought to himself, as he looked scared at Ryuu. Quickly he turned to Serena, half-forgetting, half forcing himself what he said a few minutes ago. “So Serena…you can do anything special? Like do those tails come with some awesome power or are they just pretty?” he asked. Again realizing what he said he held his hand in front of his mouth, half-slapping himself.

Zivon was relived when that man from before left after he ate, he guess that there wouldn’t be any trouble at all. He waited for that guy with purplish black hair came back with some bacon and eggs, his stomach growled as he looked at it. ‘Maybe I should have gotten something else that ice cream…’ but he reverted his focus back and still nibble on his ice cream sandwich. He will probably get some food besides ice cream later.

"So, I'm Dani, and this is my first year. After the assembly, I was leaving the auditorium and someone dived right in front of me. I lost my balance, and ended up falling into some guy named Allan. He wasn't happy at all, even though I apologized about a million times. He's been after me ever since." The guy or Dani said. He thought that man or Allan must seriously be something. Zivon felt sad for Dani, his school might be ruined because of Allan. After a few moments Zivon felt rude that he asked for Dani’s name but he never introduced himself.

“Oh by th-e way I’m Zi-von...” He said but something on his mind popped up. “Umm-uh I don-t mean to b-e ru-de but...are yo-ou a gh-ost or som-eething?” He asked but he felt really terrible for asking that. “You-u don’t need t-o an-swer but ear-rlier you were kin-d of turning tran-slucent..”

Serena

“So everyone in your family loves history...so you have to follow the tradition” She worded carefully, her smile growing at his encouraging words. “You haven’t seen me play sports yet, but thank you for the encouragement” She thanked him. Serena blinked at Ryuu at a complete loss of words; he was looking at her now in the same manner most people looked at her when her tails were visible and David was doing the same. Ok...that backfired. They’re staring more...awkward turtle! She shifted uncomfortably under Ryuu’s gaze, turning her attention to David who actually looked...unhappy? A slight blush slid across the tops of her cheeks as he called her ears cute, then tried to back track and ended up tripping over his words. “Thank you, for the compliment” She said when he fell silent his face red with what she assumed was embarrassment.

When she turned back to Ryuu he was stood with a pool of blood in his hands and trailing from his nose, her mouth dropped open a little in surprise. She went to say something when he made a peculiar yet comedic motion with his shoulder, and walked away. She put a hand to her mouth trying to hide the fact that despite his bloody nose his shoulder jig had amused her. She looked at David questioningly, as they stood in the queue together. “Did you see what happened?” She asked him, concern apparent in her face. She looked up as Ryuu returned from the restroom and stood in front of them, she glanced over at David. Folding her arms across her chest as they stood for a moment in silence she shivered involuntarily as Ryuu looked back at them with dark eyes telling them he had been punched in the face, she didn’t question him. She tucked a strand of hair behind her human ear unsure of how to break the silence that followed that statement. When Ryuu asked her a question she jumped a little, only relaxing when she saw his face had brightened into the awkward grin from before. “Biscuits would be great, thank you” She decided on saying. “You looked like you took quite a punch...your nose ok?” She asked awkwardly, concerned yet also a little unsure of what the Otaku’s reaction would be. She turned to David as he spun round quickly to look at her. She tilted her head to the side, a humorous smile flittering across her face as he asked her what her tails could do. Many things...don’t mention they make good night lights though, that would be weird

“Erm yeah they do, in fact the more tails you have the more powerful you are. I’ve only got the three though, so I’m not at full potential yet. I can use Kitsune fire, though I generally only use it to heal wounds...and I can do petty magic tricks, illusions mainly” She answered David. “Although, the tails and ears disappearing isn’t my doing the necklace is enchanted to hide them. My grandmother made it for me...stops people from staring” She added. “What about you?” She asked him, looking at Ryuu curiously as well to see whether he was listening and wondering whether he would contribute to the conversation.

Cyrus perked up when Criston mentioned that there indeed was a piano in the Student Center. The young male absolutely adored music, and couldn't wait to rest his hands on the white and black keys of a piano, or the strings of his guitar, which was waiting for him in his car in the school's parking lot. He got up shortly after Criston, laughing at his twin's remark about drugs and alcohol. Bane turned to Kathy and Crash and smiled apologetically, "I am going to go too. I have to go grab something from my car. See you at the party?" He asked rhetorically, directing it more at Kathy than Crash."see you guys later," he said with a grin.

Cyrus walked out of the lunchroom with his hands in his pockets. Once he was in the empty hallways he sped off, out the building. Bane grabbed the keys from his pocket and unlocked his 2014 Nissan Altima, nothing special. He saved up for it by himself, and was very proud to own it. He popped the trunk and grabbed a guitar case from inside it. Cyrus slung the instrument over his shoulder and grabbed his map from his pocket. Following the directions, he found his way to the Student Center, Bane opened the door and way surprised by its size, the place was huge! Inside there was a piano in the corner, and a drumset in the opposite corner. Cyrus grabbed the piano stool and set it by one of the window.

He sat down on the stool and took out his Epiphone Hummingbird guitar. Unconsciously, he created a vector field around the guitar that would amplify the sound by redirecting the sound outward, it would probably he able to be heard all around campus. He hoped the teachers and staff wouldn't mind. Cyrus grabbed his quotation pick from under the strings and strummed once experimentally. He started off quiet, playing a slow, sad melody. As he picked up the tempo the music changed, it became louder and more jubilant. Bane had his eyes closed, lips curled in a small smile. To him, nothing was more soothing than music.

Watching Criston and Cyrus leave, she smiled and waved them good-bye. “Yup, see you both later at the party.”

The big grin Crash made while discussing music was contagious. She couldn’t help but smile along with him. “Aaah, makes sense. I had wondered why someone brought drumsticks to the morning speech.” She clapped her hands together once in understanding, having all but forgotten the morning incident at the auditorium until that moment. Then trying to keep a very serious and business-like expression (failing miserably with the corners of her mouth twitching up into a smile) she cautioned, “‘Music’ is actually a second weapon of mine. You see, any time I try to sing or play an instrument, anyone within hearing distance is instantly incapacitated and temporarily loses all sense of reason.” Giving up on the joke, Kathy let her face relax into a natural smile again and shrugged, “I like listening to it, but apparently I have no talent in the music department. As for my forte… I’d say sports? Here I seem to lack a bit in the muscle and power department, but I’ve got good reflexes and my own tricks to make up for it.”

Catching the slight unease in Crash’s expression, she felt her own spirit fall a little. They hadn’t been acquainted for all that long, but it was now apparent that she had already grown quite attached to his grin and cheerful disposition. Even though he returned to normal a moment later, she couldn’t shake off the heavy feeling she got. “… I don’t think you’d do that sort of thing. You don’t seem like someone that would hurt or cause trouble for people on purpose.” Her frown deepened a bit at her own words. ‘Idiot. I’m such an idiot,’ She thought, silently reprimanding herself. ‘Is that the best thing I can say? Wow… Lame, really lame Kathy. A 5-year-old could’ve made a better attempt to cheer him up or something.’

Trying to put her failure behind her, she listened careful to Crash’s next words. ‘Great! Okay, something I can help with!’ Feeling a little guilty she played a part in making him embarrassed, she quickly replied, “N-No! It’s fine, I mean, lots of people get lost in the first week or month here.” Realizing her voice was rising a bit, she quickly made herself calm back down again. She was honestly a little surprised, she couldn’t remember the last time she had gotten so flustered.

Before she could continue, a clatter nearby interrupted their conversation. Seeing a girl with fair hair standing over a mess on the floor, she started to stand up from her seat when Crash gave a motion for her to wait. Remaining in a slightly awkward position at the edge of her seat, she watched as Crash began to defend the girl from the students laughing at her misfortune. The surprise and worry Kathy felt as she watched Crash transform for the first time was washed away in the very next moment as she burst into laughter at the adorable form he had chosen.

Still laughing by the time Crash came back to his seat and transformed back, she had to wipe small tears forming at the corner of her eyes. “Ha ha ha, a-amazing! You actually made them all leave without even getting into a fight with anyone.” Re-adjusting herself back into her seat, she beamed at Crash and gave him a thumbs-up. “Ve~ry scary. So much it’d chase away any nightmares or unhappy thoughts from a single glance.”

Remembering what they were discussing before the sudden incident, she took out her phone. “Let’s meet up a little earlier, and go to the party together. That way it won’t matter if you forget, and we don’t have to worry about searching for each other through a dancing crowd.” After fiddling around with it for a bit, she slid the phone over to Crash with the option to add a new contact displayed on the screen. “Want to give me your number? I’ll text you mine so you can contact me if you need help with something and we can work out the details a little later.” As she waited for his response, Cathy began to pile the empty plates onto her tray. “I’m going to go back to my dorm and get a little unpacking done before tonight. What about you?”

Ryuu Yamauchi

"Yeah, yeah, I'm a-okay. I don't really give a... crap about face punches," Ryuu grumbled in a monotone voice, having just recovered from his crazy reaction to Serena. He then proceeded to go ahead and buy some biscuits and donuts: the donuts for David, and the biscuits for the kitsune and himself. The otaku was not amused by his own screw-up, but he accepted that it was unable to be reversed. So, instead, all he needed to do was start making redeeming actions. But what actions would actually make him look decent again?

Just as he was wondering, Serena asked David on what powers the boy had. Now that he thought about it, he was curious. He supposed that it was something digital-item related, though one could never be a fortune teller so easily.

Ryuu brought a tray filled with donuts and biscuits, attempting to enter the conversation with at least something in mind. After all, David seemed pretty interested in the girl, so he might as well give the spotlight to him.

"I'm able to control plasma," Ryuu said, the grin of a devil on his face (he was unconscious of it).

He then added in a full-on lie, telling the two, "I'm not really confident in it, but hey, it's pretty useful when you don't have a lighter! Too bad it doesn't come with lighter fluid... Mweh heh..."

Ryuu, whose face softened a little when he stopped thinking about creating a lightsaber on fire, looked at David in anticipation. He was a pretty interesting kid, though people would easily misjudge him as someone who just wanted the computer addict's money.
Jeanne R. Cortez

Eventually, Cortez finally stood up, her eyes lit on fire.

"Yar, ha-har!" She exclaimed triumphantly, finally motivated to move out of the cafeteria. "Now, I shall set sail for the gardens! Or the dorms! Or anywhere!"

Her chest puffed out in pride, the captain of the Screaming Pearl began to walk out of the cafeteria. On her way, however, she accidentally bumped on a man wearing sunglasses, who simply gave her an evil-looking eye. He was carrying a tray filled with... lots of donuts and biscuits.

"Careful," he said with a tone of concern, though he scared her to death with the look of a nightmare's monster.

She scurried away, leaving the main building quickly.
"B-B-Blimey!" Cortez panted, heading to the gardens with an exhausted body. "To think that I'd meet the devil so early in the gusty day...! I need me luck to haul wind properly and run a shot across the bow, aye!"

The red-haired pirate captain took several deep breaths before continuing to head to the gardens. From what she heard, there were people frequently visiting the place, and it was usually filled with serenity. Starting in a calm place would certainly help her, and that was what she wanted. After all, she was unprepared to face that demon of a human again. Seeing him made her want to call out for her father.

Eventually, she reached her desired destination. The gardens, in her eyes, were magnificently beautiful. Her mouth was agape, her eyes wide in astonishment, as she looked around the pretty structure of the place. As a person who generally did not see these works of arts regularly due to her life at the seas, she was taken aback by how exotic the gardens looked. She did enter forests before during treasure hunt missions, but they were mostly scary places.

"Methinks that these gardens are worth tons of the treasure I collected!" Cortez said, still amazed by her life-filled surroundings. She had no idea of the fact that her treasures were far more expensive to retrieve than the plants around the gardens, but none of that exactly mattered greatly to her. Allured by the unfamiliar, but relaxing place, Cortez leaned over a patch of roses.

"So strange, methinks," she whispered quietly. "They are as red as... my hair... wow..."

She apparently forgot about her initial goal in arriving at the gardens, but she was bound to remember soon.

Harry was a bit worried when he didn't get a response from Luna, he wondered if he had offended the self-proclaimed Lunatic. Looking toward Da Vinci and getting an only raised eyebrow in response, Harry decided it might be best to leave. "Well, um, sorry to have taken up your time Miss Luna... goodbye."
Slowly standing, Harry made a hasty retreat wondering how he offended. A half eaten apple in hand and nary a clue as to where he wanted to go, Harry put his free left hand on the wall of the hallway and watched people who had long since passed walk this part of the hall.

Past students and Faculty flooded his vision and before he lost himself in the flood of memories randomly chose someone to follow. Keeping his hand to the wall Harry followed a small boy. Harry followed this small kid for a while, it was pretty boring actually, then the kid passed a lady carrying a pile of papers so Harry started following her. Harry continued to switch people until he found himself sitting on the roof of the gymnasium next to the past image of a girl writing sheet music with no idea how he got there. "Well I'm somewhere, that's certain. Clasping his necklace with an ancient arrowhead pendant Harry's oldest memory friend appeared. Alexander stood over Harry looking at the school grounds. "You would make a fine General young Harrison. Overseeing a battlefield from on high was quite wise of you." Alexander was tiresome at times, but he was a nice enough guy as far as conquers of the known world are concerned. "I'm just here for the view Alex. Plus I followed a past lady up. I'm not even certain how to get down." Alexander stared at Harry hard "Doesn't that concern you, Harrison?"

"Not really, I'm just enjoying the moment for the time being, plus I'm curious what this rooftop songwriter will do." With that Harry relaxed into his position on the roof, looking over the school grounds and enjoying his apple.

“Sounds like an awesome power!” David exclaimed when he heard what Serena could do. Healing, putting people on fire. All that when she only had 3 tails yet. What would she be able to do when she has 7? Or 9? Or 12!? Wait, how many can she have maximum? Don’t ask that! he thought to himself. Then he heard what Kyuu could do. “Wow! Control plasma! That’s awesome. Really awesome.” He said to Kyuu with a smile. I hope he won’t set me on fire. Please don’t let me die because of fire. It sounds so…painful. he thought. “Both of those powers are actually really cool. I’m looking forward on seeing how they evolve.” He said to both of them. Then he heard Serena’s question.

“M-My power?” he tried to say. He was never allowed to talk about it. His parents called his abilities ‘abominations’. He still remembered what they said when they caught him creating light orbs in his room: These are NOT things normal boys do! Oh god, what will aunt Irma say? Or the neighbors! Imagine what they would say when they found out at work!? Patrick would be all over it! his mother had been saying. So he had to keep it quiet and never work on his powers again. He didn’t really obey. A fortnight later he was under his blankets making silvery lights. He wouldn’t make a golden light one again. That was the one that got him caught. But the silvery lights were little and barely shined any light. They couldn’t see that. All that happened a few years ago. But never the less he couldn’t really make anything beyond silvery lights.

“It’s really…I don’t know…stupid and you know…pathetic.” He said awkwardly. “So far I –euhm- could only make little silver light. I’d show you guys but there’s too much light here. The orbs aren’t that strong. You can only see them when it’s dark. But I could show you tonight?” he said, facing Serena. The again he realized what he said. Ryuu, if somehow you are also a mind-reader. Do me a favor. Set me on fire. he thought.

Drow couldn't get her mind of what Zivon tryed to say before he was interrupted, She decided to go look for him to ask again and found herself walking past the dorms. She walked past the many rooms were all the students were suppose to live. She looked at the crammed note that she got out of her pocket, it read room 104. She opened the door, the room was pretty big and it looked nice. She saw that her stuff had be placed in the dorm room already. She moved her stuff to the room that was near the front door and left dorm already to find Zivon again.

She walked through the hallways trying to stay from as much people as she could. A rather strange man was follow a boy around and then suddenly he switched from following the boy and started to follow a lady. She kept walking and looked at him till he vanished around the end of the hallway. She passed a bulletin board with some intresting posters on it. One of the posters sayed something about a band, She wanted to join it last year but she didn't want to bother them with her power. Maybe i should give it a shot this year. She wrote the room number down on the back of the paper she just had and placed it in hear pocket.

She entered the cafeteria were the crowd has died down a bit. Zivon was still siting in the same place as before talking to a boy that sat weird on his place. She decided to sit the place she was before facing the back of Zivon. She moved her hand to his back a bit and tried to get his attention by shocking him a little.

He felt something at his back, like a small shock? It was a numb feeling but still spooked him. He turned around and saw Drow again, wait was she there the whole time or did she go somewhere? He was embarrassed for not noticing, he was surprised by that shock but maybe theorized that could be her power. ‘ Maybe I should ask later ’ he said to himself. He gave a small wave like before and bit his lip.

“Hi Dr-ow…” He greeted, he really didn’t know what to say, and the conversation earlier got cut of by flying food and yelling. He remembered that she had asked about his power, his throat went dry. ‘Okay I can say it, nothing wrong will happen…’ Reassuring himself that won’t mess up he put down his breakfast and put his hands on the bench. “Oh...ea-rlier umm my po-ower well it’s ki-nd of um ho-w do I-I say but…” His words were getting better but still had a hint of nervousness in it. He felt something scratchy on his hands; he looked down a saw the small bit of the bench turned slightly rusty. His stomach turned and he wanted run away…crying. He decided to not run way and..cry but to brave it out. “It’s age mani-plulation…”

Dani - Ryuu and Dani's Dorm
Dani gave an embarrassed smile.
"Something like that. Anyway, I have to pack, see you later, Zivon." Dani got up and left the table, passing one of the girls who had originally sat there. On his way to the dorm rooms, he took the paper out of his pocket that told him his dorm room number.
117... 117... 117... I need to remember that. Dani thought. He climbed the stairs and entered into the dorm. It was a very nice place, having a living area with two bedrooms and a kitchenette. Dani looked in both bedrooms, and chose the one with the window, which he opened. A breeze blew in, along with the scent of flowers from the garden. Dani wasted no time, though, and began unpacking his stuff.

Matt - Matt and Allan's Dorm
Matt finished up his breakfast and put his tray in the designated tray putting spot, and went to his dorm. He was quite tired, as he flew here throughout the night. He entered his dorm and looked around. Somebody had been there, probably his dorm room. The door to the second bedroom was closed, so Matt assumed that was the one Allan had picked. He wondered who Allan was.
Matt entered his bedroom and laid his stuff down. After taking off his shoes, he lay in bed to take a nap.

Crash

Crash glanced at Cyrus as he got up to leave, he lifted his hand in a farewell gesture. Silently noting it felt more like Cyrus was talking to Kathy rather than him. How is he not going to see me? Don;t take any beverages he offers...they could be spiked with an invisibility potion! He shook his head, turning his attention back to Kathy and trying to move away from that particular thought chain before it got out of hand. He frowned at Kathy’s expression she suddenly looked terribly serious, his eyes caught the slight twitch at the corners of her mouth however. Still his expression shifted to one of intense suspense as he listened to what she said, he chuckled at the joke. “Sports? Nice, you’ll have to tell me what you play” He smiled, though it faltered slightly as she spoke about his previous comment he was a little taken aback by her words. He watched her frown deepen and in response he smiled warmly at her. “Thanks” He murmured gratefully.

His eyebrows shot up in surprise as she quickly replied to him her voice rising a bit as she spoke and a flustered look crossing her face. He didn’t get a chance to say anything to her before the tray clattered behind him.

Crash’s smiled broadened as he heard Kathy laughing, he looked quite chuffed with himself as he stood next to the table. He chuckled as she gave him the thumbs up and answered his question, he could feel the sarcasm in that it made him laugh harder. “Then my work here is done” Was his response. With a grin he straightened his shirt and brushed himself down, his ruby eyes were drawn back to her as she spoke to him. “Sounds like a plan” He nodded in approval, looking down at her phone as she slid it over to him. “Sure, that would be really helpful actually...” He smiled at her, before reaching down and picking the phone up to tap his digits into it, a moment later he passed it back to her. “Erm...” He mused, rubbing the back of his neck as a thoughtful look crossed his face. “I should probably do that” He shrugged, a sudden pink hue crossing his cheeks. “I mean unpack my stuff” He added quickly, emphasizing the ‘my’ a little more than he needed to. “Err here let me take those for you and I’ll catch up with you later” He quickly changed the subject, holding his hands out ready to take her tray a smile back on his face.

Serena

Serena looked down at her feet, scuffing her toe along the floor as Ryuu answered her with a monotone grumble. She felt guilty for not paying more attention...though she wasn’t sure how she would have prevented the fly by punching. She looked up at David with a shy smile and a small flush across her cheeks as he exclaimed, she noticed Ryuu had returned with a tray of donuts and biscuits. Plasma? That explains the exploding of rooms...pretty awesome ability to have one would imagine She smiled as David said something similar to what she was thinking, she caught Ryuu’s grin but it didn’t seem quite as worrying as before to her, she was slowly adjusting to his ways though she was still unsure, she wasn’t afraid of him anymore. She chuckled at what he said about the lighter fluid, in the back of her mind wondering whether he was joking about that or not. “Not confident though, is that why you’ve blown up so many rooms?” She teased Ryuu playfully, a cheeky smile crossing her face. Too soon! Where did that confidence come from? Send it back

She turned her attention back to David once Ryuu had finished explaining his power. “Thanks” She smiled at him. Her head tilted to the side as he stuttered and seemed to drift off into his thoughts before speaking. She frowned at his dismissive speech before he’d even told them what his power was. And you thought you had low self esteem... She listened carefully to David gathering a picture of what he could do in her mind, she twirled a few strands of her hair around her fingers as she did, she blinked at him as he offered to show them tonight. “At the party? Are you both going?” She asked looking first at David then at Ryuu. “I’d really like to see what you can do, it sounds pretty cool in my opinion” She smiled at David. “Maybe we could meet up later at the party? I’d feel better going with friends than on my own” She suggested, looking curiously at the tray in Ryuu’s hands. She moved away from them before they could address her suggestion, moving over to a nearby table and summoning them over to sit down. She perched herself on a chair and awaited their answers.

Ryuu Yamauchi

"...Huh," Ryuu said, his eyes wide at the mention of silver lights. "You better show it to us, but I dunno where exactly we should see it..."

He was, however, amused by David's shyness, particularly toward Serena. The black-haired student thought it would be funny, and somehow awesome, to get the two together, but he was far from the matchmakers his anime tend to show off. His sister sure was one, but she was just an insane romanticizer... that loved destroying him ever-so-frequently.

The otaku simply grumbled again when Serena apprently teased him, though he did not exactly look malicious when he did so. When she brought up the student party, however, his face returned from "flushed" to being visibly "brightened."

"Actually, that's a really good idea!" Ryuu said, attempting not to look like Beelzebub (he was barely succeeding). He decided to sit across Serena in case David wanted to sit next to her. The otaku placed the tray filled with donuts and biscuits on the table, continuing with his opinion,

"We should all meet at the party, and maybe go outside to fully test our abilities. I mean, we're all related to light, if you think about it. And maybe I could show off my lightsaber to you guys! Mwa ha h- er, ha ha... ha!"

His evil laugh was quickly replaced by a less evil one. A few minutes ago, these two people looked like they were about to run off without a word, but here he was, talking with them. It was unnatural, that was for certain, but this unnatural feeling he was getting was more of a new emotion. It made him feel happy to finally have a chance to show off some of his powers, though he would have to lie to them about how far his limits went.

After all, while he did burn his room down several times, he never told them that he managed to destroy the entire household at one point. If that ever got out of his mouth, they would run for sure. And he should never tell them that he cried because he obliterated his Blu-ray DVDs filled with magical... things.

“P-Party?” David mumbled. Then he remembered. The party Criston talked about a few minutes ago. That too brought up some unpleasant memories. He’s gone to a few parties in the past. But the last one happened to be a pool party. However his friends seemed to have ‘forgotten’ to add the ‘pool’ part. So when he arrived at the home and was lead to the backyard. The second he saw the pool his heartbeat skyrocket. He tried to act normal back then. But never entered the water. Until an drunk idiot happened to think it would be funny to throw a fully clothed person in the water. He remembered those seconds like it was yesterday. Luckily some people noticed that he couldn’t swim and quickly helped him out back then.

Never the less, Serena was going. And Ryuu too. He felt sort of obligted so he said: “I guess I’m going. As long as I don’t have to dance.” He said with a smile. And please don’t ask why I don’t want to dance. And please let them forget about my abominations. Please God? Or Gods? Or great, divine spaghetti-monster? he prayed in his mind. Not that it would help him much. If there was a divine creature, then it was either cruel or a jester in David’s eyes.

But then he was given a choice. Serena had taken a seat at a table. Ryuu sat on the other side. Should I sit next to Serena? No, it’s already weird. Maybe I say something stupid, or do something stupid, or both. Probably both. But if I sit next to Ryuu won’t she think the compliments were false? Idiot, why would she think that? But if I sit next to her she might think I’m interested in her. Am I? No! No no no, you’re not. Put those thoughts out of your head! but David had glanced over her. She was playing with her hair. He didn’t know what to feel. It confused him. But the playing with her hair. Somehow he just wanted to watch that, gapping at her. And for a split second he was Don’t watch her! Don’t look at her! Stop this madness! Take the seat next to her! That way you don’t have to look at her playing with her hair. his mind tried to reason with him. Without question he obeyed and took the seat next to Serena. Quickly he grabbed the doughnut from the plate and started eating from it. Not so much because it was delicious, and it was, but because he just wanted to stop thinking for a second. Not that his mind really stopped thinking. He just stopped listening.

Jeanne R. Cortez

Cortez stared at the red rose with a child-like look, her eyes sparkling with astonishment.

"So red... like me!"

The pirate captain of the Screaming Pearl took her time to stare... before she noticed something strange. The sound of a... what was this noise? A foreign, yet pleasant noise was being emitted across the campus, though it seemed to be at a fair distance from her. She blinked, becoming far more infatuated with this academy. There were so many strange things she never saw before, so it was a given that she would be driven to explore for a while.

She could spread her name a little later, after all.

"I am quite interested in where the pleasant sounds of this instrument is setting sail from!" Cortez quietly exclaimed to herself, her juvenile attitude still intact. "Methinks I should go avast by this pleasant noise!"

And so, after giving the rose one last look, the red-haired pirate lady lightly headed over to the source of the noise.

It turned out that there was actually a person playing music in the Student Center, which was the place where the vice principal stated there would be a party at. She blinked, her eyes staring at the man who sat by the piano with a strange device in his hands. It looked very similar to the linear instruments she and her crewmates used whenever they wanted to make a party jolly. The sound, however, was foreign, yet pleasant to hear. She liked the happy song this student was playing right at the moment.

Watching him from a distance, the redhead looked around before finding a place to sit on the floor, staring at this person who looked like a genius to her eyes. She let his music sink into her ears, still amazed by the diversity of things Athalia Academy had to offer.

Cyrus kept his head down, staring down at his instrument. If it was possible for a man to love a piece of wood, then dammit, Cyrus loved his guitar. It had been with him through thick and thin. Had a bad day? Its singing comforted him. Had an awesome day? It was there, cheering him on. Bane strummed harder and louder, all that he was thinking about was music.

Cyrus finally picked up his head, and fell out of his chair when he saw a redhead watching him play. His song ended on a couple wrong notes and some scraped knees. "Gah, jeez lady. You scared the hell outta me! A warning would have been nice." He gave her a sheepish grin, rubbin the back of his head, hair going everywhere. He saw that she was enjoying his music, he cleared his throat. "Yeah, uh, I'm going to keep playing... If that's okay?"

The Oscillan didn't hesitate, he once again began strumming a beautiful song, and nothing but music filled his ears. He pocketed his pick and started picking the guitar with his fingers. He began humming along, there was no need for words. He was honestly making the song up as he went on, but he seemed to know how to play and sing, well at least hum, very well.

The boy with the armor had barely sat down at the bench that Carmen was sitting on when Carmen's head perked up suddenly and her eyes widened. She heard the distant sound of someone playing music on the campus. It was either extremely loud or whoever was playing it had a way to transmit the sound great distances. She knew it was an electric guitar - although she could create any sound or combination of sounds at will, she knew a great deal about man-made sounds and the instruments used to make them. She glanced at the boy, who was seemingly enveloped in his own thoughts. That seems to happen a lot around here, she mused to herself. She said "excuse me for a moment" and turned away from him, looking back towards the direction the music was coming from. Taking in the notes that were being played - starting slow and sad but gradually increasing in happiness and tempo - she put her trumpet to her lips and was about to play when the music abruptly stopped.

Confused, Carmen stood up and looked around, searching for an explanation, but there was only silence. As her heart was about to sink, to her surprise the music began again - softly as before. She picked up her trumpet once again and began to play along, hoping this would encourage the musician to continue playing. She played simply and softly but focusing the soundwaves so that the musician would hear them. As she played she stood up, turned, and began walking towards her unseen duet partner as she continued to create more expansive harmonies, continuing quickly past the realm of possibility by one human, manipulating the sound waves so that they were focused directly on the guitarist - he would be able to hear his celestial accompanist crystal clear from where he was. As she increased her walking pace and the intensity of the emotions she was conveying through her instrument, the soundscapes she was creating were so expansive that an observer could actually see the sound coming out of the bell and also radiating from Carmen's body. Walking through fields, along paths, through doors, and up stairs, the music coming out of Carmen's bell the guitarist's fingers and voice meant that all of Athalia could hear the duet between a guitar and a symphony of heart-arresting harmonies and heavenly sounds.

Minutes passed as the duet unfolded and Carmen walked through Athalia, trying to find the other source of music. Eventually she reached the Student Center, guided only by the soundwaves. As she strode into where the guitarist was located, the music came to a final, exuberant cadence and as she stood across from him the music faded away back to whence it came - silence. She slowly brought her trumpet away from her lips and back to her side, where it usually rested, noticing now that there was a female sitting on the ground watching the whole ordeal. She closed her eyes for a moment and, open opening them, spoke to the guitarist and said very simply: "You called?"

The pirate captain simply stared at the man playing the strange device. He stopped and told her that she scared him, though she only responded with a stare. She was happy to find him play another one of his strange, but great music. Cortez brought her knees up to her chest, her arms stuck tightly between them, as she continued to observe and listen to the student. It was a strange feeling to see him play music, but it made her feel warm in the inside. The song somehow made her forget about some of the tense emotions she had been feeling recently.

And then, a new sound emit from somewhere. Cortez's head darted back and forth, wondering where this new sound was coming from. It was an elegant harmony between two foreign devices she never heard of, but it made her feel like she was in a fairy tale.

Soon enough, a woman entered the Student Center with some sort of exotic device on her lips. Cortez's eyes followed the woman, her mouth slightly open, as she saw her move to the man playing with his own instrument. Were they friends? They seemed to share a great synchronization.

Cortez, feeling a little too respectful for the skilled musicians, quietly clapped her hands. She was unable to understand how the strange-looking things they held produced such awesome sounds.

Blimey... I wonder if I can play like that some day. It would help me crewmates do their darn jobs correctly...
