You know, I was going to ask about that. Is gaia like a real god or is that just a name for the earth?

Nice! I was thinking a good EG would be this.

EG;

She lifts a small chunk of earth and summons water as well, they collide and a mud of sorts starts to form. The mud encases the victims head and turns to a form of hard stone. The water that is now left out becomes spikes and impales everything inside of the stone mask.

Nyx is special, she came from another universe where Stars can be sentient. Nymphs and Dryads just don't exist in this universe

Gaia is not the common conception of her, as a goddess who watches over the earth. The Gaia that Caroline speaks to is the sentience of the earth itself which took on the name Gaia. It's a fine line, but a line nonetheless.
