The roar, as it turned out, belonged to no demon. No angel or devil either. No, this roar, this voice was something beyond comprehension. Something that mortal men could not grasp into their tiny minds. This was the sound of a god. Jarrod gripped his blade tighter as the wind began to pick up all around them. At this point, the entire towns area was abandoned. Either the people left or were hiding. And with good reason too. Because the thing that slowly appeared before the newly formed band of travelers now was no Anomaly. No, this was the real deal. Jarrod narrowed his eyes as the sky darkened significantly.
There.
There it was. In one moment there was nothingness, and in the next, there it was. Its silver body gleamed in the dark light, its wings too massive for its already gargantuan body. Its body looked like a hybrid of different metals and organic materials, and Jarrod knew all too well that contained within it was a wide assortment of weaponry and magic. Above them, it looked almost like an airship, hovering by sheer power in the sky. In comparison, they were ants compared to it, both in size and in power. Yes, that's what it was. Power incarnate. Jarrod face palmed. He couldn't help it. Of all the times to show up. . .this was just too grand.
He turned to face Corvain and Angelo. "Well boys, I hope you were serious about the whole sworn allegiance thing. Cause that's what we'll be facing in a few moments." He pointed to the massive dragon above them casually.
Yggdrasil.
So the great beast has shown its face. But why? Why now? Who knew. Who knew anything about the almighty creature.
The dragon opened its mouth slightly, letting loose another roar. However this time, vague voices could be heard within its bellow. It sounded like a mixture between man, woman, and some kind of animal.
"Return. . . to. . .the source. . ."
