Rosina squealed in fright when a pokemon ran up to them, Azul hitting him with a Bubble Beam. A moment later she saw Erin's Machop. "Oh, its you Machop. Is this a new friend?" she said looking at Ratatta. "Hey there cutie." she said to the mouse before looking around. Where was Erin?

Machop pulled on her pant leg, gesturing to hold the red egg. "Okay, just be careful. Its already hurt." she told him handing it over. "Now lead me to Erin."

A moment later, she saw him on the ground, pokeball in hand looking beat up. Facepalming first, she knelt by him and tapped his face gently.

"Erin...wake up man. This is a bad and scary place to take a nap."

erin managed to stand up and mumble about the mankey for rattata barked at him and he snapped out of hit, he was covered in bruises and scratched but still wasn't to hurt to fall uncontious. The mankey had beaten him bad, if it weren't for a stick that he had early on beaten him off with he would be dead for sure, but now he had a every powerful pokemon, though it might still be angry. He looked at the girl and the quivering girl. "you ok?"

Carter was deep in Mt. Moon by the time Rosina had reached the entrance. He and Teddiursa wandered in the darkness, nothing but a flashlight to light their way. They had encountered Zubats, Geodudes, and Paras so far. Ahead he could see a light, at the end of a long tunnel. He stumbled up a slight incline, heading towards the light.

As he pulled himself through a makeshift doorway, several dim lights could be seen. Fires crackled in the cave, a couple dozen men sat around them, talking in low voices. Carter looked around before clearing his throat. "Um...hello?" He addressed the room. A few men looked up, their faces sad. "Hey, kid! What are you doing here!?" One of them said. They wore blue jumpsuits, some of them had lab coats.

"I'm Carter. Carter Dane. I'm looking for Doctor Dane." He said, explaining who his father was. "The Doc's kid? Sorry, but he's been missing for hours. We got separated from his group after the power went out. None of us have any Electric Pokemon.

Carter nodded. His father had a Jolteon, he would have gone to check out the predicament.He grabbed a big stick, wrapped a rag around it, and held it over the fire until it caught ablaze. "Well I'm going to find him!" He said, running into the darkness, keeping the power cable to his left.

"Brave kid. Should we have told him about the Pokemon causing the power failure?"

After what felt like ages, but was probably only about 20 minutes of walking along the cables, Carter saw a light ahead, a glowing yellow, electrical light. "Dad's Jolteon!" He said to Teddiursa, picking the Pokemon up. He ran towards the source of light, smiling. It wasn't until he got close that he saw what it, or rather they were. Dozens of white, wiggling fish were attached to the cables on the ground. The cables were leaking electricity, and the fish were soaking it up, attaching their suction like mouths and drinking it up, practically glowing. He pulled out his Pokedex, scanning the mass of luminescent Pokemon.

"Tynamo." It said aloud. "The EleFish Pokémon. Tynamo usually lives in groups, and has an electricity-generating organ which discharges when in distress." Carter put away the Dex and set Teddiursa down. A few of the Tynamo turned to him, sparking. "Ah! Teddiursa! Fake Tears!"

The bear Pokemon walked forward a bit, looking at them all. Then, it just plopped down on it's butt and started crying. The Tynamos stopped, looking at the small bear. Carter approached them carefully, their guard down.

"Please, we need your help. Since you've all been eating this electricity, my father's become lost in these caves. Could you please stop eating the power?" He asked as nicely as he could. The Tynamo looked to each other and nodded, beginning to float away. One of them came towards him and glowed, providing light for him. He dropped his torch, it had burnt out a while ago, and followed that friendly Tynamo all the way to his dad.

"Dad!" Carter yelled, seeing his father and his Jolteon ahead. He ran to his father's arms and hugged him. "Dad! The power went out because of a bunch of Tynamo. But Teddiursa and I asked them to leave. Thanks to my new friend here, I found you!"

"Good job, son. But why are you here?" His father asked. Tynamo rested on Carter's shoulder.

Carter spent the rst of the time walking with his father and explaining what had happened. They soon reached the location of the cable break, which Doctor Dane fixed easily. Immediately lights started coming on, and he could see his father smile. "I'm proud of you, son." He said, patting Carter on the head.

"But I lost my battle with Brock." Carter said, disappointed.

"That's okay, son. If you hadn't you wouldn't have come to find me. And you wouldn't have made your little friend here." He said, rubbing Tynamo under the mouth, making the small Pokemon light up. "Here, son. For you and Tynamo." Carter's dad handed him a Dusk Ball, and Carter smiled. He immediately looked to Tynamo, who looked pleased as well.

"Okay, Tynamo! Get inside!" He said, clicking the button. Tynamo went in, not even putting up a fight, and Carter added his Pokeball to his belt.

Together, Carter and his Father returned to the group of engineers.

"Ok? No i am NOT OK! What the heck man you guys cant just leave me, i mean what if i had got lost in here and that old guy i took the egg from decided to follow and kill me, like murderers exist you know and my lil pokemon can only do so much and you and Carter just left me alone for like no reason and now im scared and i though you were like dead or something and, and..." she had rambled on until tears started pooling in her eyes. With a sniff a few fell, and then a few more....and then it was free flowing.

"And i'm scared of the dark..." she wimpered, rubbing the tears away before she could really break down. Her pokemon nuzzled her then to cheer her up, and it worked a little. Drifts soft body tickled her nose and made her sneeze softly. Just then, some lights came on and illuminated the cave to where you could see around.

"Well, would you look at that?" she said standing, helping Erin up, and retrieving the egg from Machop. "C'mon guys! Lets go find Carter." she said happily, all hints of sadness were gone as if she was not crying a minute prior.

"Azurill!"

"Cott tonee!"

Rosina jogged deeper into the cave, sure that Erin and his pokemon would be able to keep up. She noticed her egg was still rather hot and she didnt know if it was good, or bad.

Erin noticed she seemed like she was going to cry, when he heard here reasoning he nearly went ecstatic, if it weren't for it hurting with every word he said he would have given the taunting of a life time (don't worry he's afraid of cats so skitty, meowth and persian will get him back) but he barely managed to laugh a hit before muttering 'ow' and scurried on with his other pokemon. He smirked as his rattata seemed to be worried about azurill and cottonee and was on edge with guarding them, he had barely been with it but he was happy to see rattata was a good guy and not the mean one he used to go. Machop had a strange egg, it seemed hot and red, Erin suspected something like a magmar or some weird fire type. As Erin walked with his limp he struggled to keep up, the mankey in his pockets made him fear what happened when he had to use it, would it attack him again? He sure hopped not maybe in the heat of battle it will work like Ratttata. Still he wasn't sure he could last another round with the pigmonkey.

"say, what are you guys doin' here, you ditched me when I needed you all. Machop, rattata did you follow her here?" he said being suprised by a nod from both.

After nearly an hour of dark turns, scary wild pokemon encounters, and various degrees of shrieks from Rosina, the group had saw the light at the end of the tunnel...or cave, and ran towards it.

Bursting out into the sunlight, Rosina squealed happily, jumping up then laying down on the soft green grass.

"Oh my word, i've never missed light so much in my life!" she wailed, Azul and Drift plopping next to her, both looking just as happy. Petting both of them and then Erin's pokemon as well, she looked out across the area. She could see a city not too far off, but she didn't spot Carter.

"What do you know, we beat Carter out." she hi fived the Machop since he was the one with the closest to a real hand. "Lets take a break and wait for him. I got some food to share from the last Poke Center." she said pulling a bag of pokemon food out. She didnt have bowls so she just poured them each some on a tree leaf nearby.

Watching as they ate, she crossed her legs under her and combed her tangled hair with her fingers.

Erin stumbled out after them, the shrills of the girl kept him at high alert and also reminded him he could barely see, but now that he was out he realized how many opportunities he missed and all thanks to that lady. Looking down at his arms and legs he realized that monkey had really torn him up,bruises allover and just as many cuts. Erin fell over tired from the walk and realizing he would have to use mankey again and he still needed to evolve his Pokemon. They hadn't gotten carter either.Anyone who would cheer him on deserved to come out alive but with he wasn't ready to move again which was obvious when he feel over and rattata used him as a cushion. Machop quickly finished his food and with a ''machop" thanked rosia and began to continue his training also wanting to evolve he really wanted to be a machoke and maybe even a machamp someday. Rattata looked at the other poke ball and opened it realizing the beast, the new mankey. The pigmonkey looked around before kicking the trainer and turning to see the young girl and calming down when he saw how she treated her Pokemon and after kicking erin a few more times it scuttled over to her.

"mank man mankey" he said demanding food

Rosina had saw the exchange and she gave a half smile at the Mankey before registering it in her pokedex, it even picked up the ratatta a little behind. Afterwards she pointed to the monkey pokemon and then in front of her. Looking confused for a moment it walked over to her.

"Okay listen up tough guy. I saw how you treated your trainer just now, is that any way to treat a friend. You see he's hurt already, why would you try to add to it?" she asked it. Her Ranger skills were showing a bit as the Mankey stuttered as if trying to come up with a legit reason.

"Look," she said softly, petting the pokemon. She knew that this was the best way to tame a pokemon. She hoped Erin was watching while she did this, so he knew for future times. Rosina was taught to make a pokemon feel good when talking or giving orders to it. It made them more accepting of it. Scratching the little guy under his chin/mouth or whatever it was, she spoke in a level voice.

"I know that maybe you didnt want to get captured, but fate brought you and Erin there together." she turned the pokemon so he could look at Erin, petting the Mankeys head.

"That boy is your friend now. He dosent want to hurt you or anything, he just wants to be your buddy. So, you gotta give him a chance and maybe you two will be best friends one day." She turned him back to face her and poked his nose smiling.

"Wanna give it a shot then? He can help you get stronger."

"Mankey!" he said nodding.

"No more hitting."

"Mankey." he nodded.

"No more kicking."

He hesitated before nodding, giving up. "Mankey."

"Good. Now you may have some food." she poured some on a clean leaf and set it in front of him, proud of her results. Crawling over to Erin, she took out a bottle of water, and some bandages. She handed him the water and helped him sit up before starting to patch him up.

"Move or complain and your going to wish it was a Mankey beating you up." she warned as she put some bandaids on him. Keeping her eyes on her work she spoke after a moment. "Um, just a word of advice, dont fight a pokemon. Let them come to you. If it was meant to be then they'll come. Also, no matter how much they hit you, dont fight back. It will show them you dont wanna hurt em." she frowned at his bruises, wishing she could fix those too. Smiling, she applied another bandaid.

"You got your butt kicked though dude."

Erin sighed as she put the bandages on him, he didn't need help but her warning shut him up quick. He looked at the pigmonkey now playing with rattata and machop and smiled as he knew exactly what had gone down, that girl was and expert ranger like she said no doubt about it. Trying not to blush as she touched the bandage to his forehead he began wondering about something he heard in the cave,it said something about clive and a fairy, and after thinking it was calling his only friend in the mountains a goldent hat refused to leave the pong he gripped his hands tight only to think of another pokemon. Clefary maybe that was it, erin wanted to use the pokedex at the girls waist but knew better to move. As he sat there he heard her other comment. "I got my butt kicked? That thing has the power of twenty body builders and the rage of a tiger with anger issues of course I did"

Carter watched Rosina and Erin, smiling to himself. He sat in a tree above them, Teddiursa and Tynamo sleeping in their Pokeballs. Carter picked a Pecha berry from the tree and dropped it on Erin's head, holding back laughter.

He swung himself down, landing on his feet. "Hey guys." He said, feeling much better than before. "Oh, cool, my Pokemon are hungry too. Mind if they have some?" He asked Rosina. "Speaking of which, allow me to introduce..." He pulled out Teddiursa's Pokeball and Tynamo's Dusk Ball, sending them both out. "Tynamo! He's the newest member of my team!" He said, proudly. The 8 inch long little eel glowed happily. "Tyna! Tynamo!" It said, happily floating around.

Rosina smiled as she applied the last bandaid to Erin's upper arm. "Okay well your an idiot then for trying to take him on anyway." leaning away from him then she noticed an uproar of noise from their pokemon and turned to see numerous wild pokemon had come to eat the food that had been set out. She started to shoo them away but decided to just register them instead. She logged a Lotad, Pachirisu, Taillow, and various pokemon she already knew like Pidgey, Rattata and Zigzagoon. After she walked over and broke up the bickering.

"Hey hey! Calm down! I'll give you food, geez!" she said pulling the wild ones from her pokemon. After they were all seperated, she gave the wild ones there own. Eventually more and more showed up and in a matter of minutes, it was gone.

"Um....its all gone guys. Sorry." she said, sighing. There was a collective mutter of dissapointment but they did stay to play and frolic in the nearby grass. Sitting down, she continued to watch them.

She heard a sound and looked in that direction spotting her friend. "Carter!" she stood and went over to him before smacking him in the face. "Thats for leaving me. Oh what a cute little Tynamo!" she squealed, registering it. She went to pick up her egg she took from the old guy and showed him. "Look! I've got an egg!"

Mankey jumped at the man guarding rosia before erin got up and told him carter was cool, and looking at his pokemon he gave a high five before muttering 'ow' and limping back to his rattata and machop. Seeing carter back to normal made Erin smile and was sure that the boy was probably stronger than ever as a person and a trainer, unlike himself. Yes a new pokemon was at his side but it seemed to hate him and truthfully be more into the girl on there team, the idiot Mankey was his pokemon. rattata and machop were also happy to see the new pokemon while mankey was more into the trainer: sniffing, licking, touching and watching him before nodding and waddling over to the others, he really was a strange pokemon."Don't run off like that we are your friends we go with you were ever, except stuff like the bathroom because that's weird but because were a team I will sacrifice myself and am willing to do so" he said being terrible at speeches he proceeded he smile and fall back muttering an 'ow' and looking at the berry that fell on him. "look just don't run off"

When the wild pokemon started to wander off, Rosina returned Cottonee and Azurill to their balls and adjusted her grip on the hot egg. "Alright boys! Cerulean isint gonna come to us so lets go!" she said skipping off without them. As she made the short walk to the city, she would occasionally hear a rustling in the grass behind her, to which she'd turn, and notice nothing out of the ordinary. After shrugging it off a few times she turned and started walking backwards to see what it was. As soon as she did, a little white and blue squirrel pokemon poked its head of of the nearby bushes. She recognized it as a Pachirisu, likely the one eating some food from before. Kneeling down to his level she waved him over.

"Hey little one." she noticed a distinct sign about its tail that let her know it was a girl. "I'm sorry, theres no more food. You can head on home now girl." she told it petting its ear.

"Pachi Pa pa!!" it said running in a circle around her. She smiled then. "Say, would you like to be friends with me?" she asked.

"Pachi!" it said before running off.

Rosina stood frowning. "Oh. Guess not." with that, she turned and continued her way to Cerulean.

Carter wlked down the road to Cerulean, only a couple feet behind Rosina. She was pretty perky, but that's what he'd come to expect from her. He looked to his left and saw a nice, clear blue lake at the base of Mt. Moon. He thought it would be a nice place to go for a swim, but wanted to at least get to the Pokemon Center first. He looked down at his hand. In it was a shiny yellow stone. A lightning bolt could be seen in it, and he smiled. It was a gift from his dad. One he would cherish for a long time. He put it in one of his bag's pockets, before catching up with Rosina. He smiled and pointed to her egg. "Where'd ya get that?" He asked. His own egg still sat in the incubator attached to his backpack straps. "You should get an incubator for it."

He looked forward and saw Cerulean, a large city, much larger than Pewter had been, and beautiful. Straight, white buildings, clean, even, white brick roads. Every awning, door, windowsill, roofing, and detail in a crisp, vibrant blue. It was as though the city was reflecting the clear blue sky and bright white clouds. At the center of town, he could see an enormous fountain depicting different kinds of water Pokemon. He rushed ahead, pulling out his Pokedex. He scanned the fountain, but the dex beeped, unable to register. "Must only work on real Pokemon." He said, mildly disappointed. He studied the fountain some more, seeing many Pokemon. Some he knew, others he didn't. A few stone Magikarp, Goldeen, and Seaking frolicked around the outside wall of the fountain, looking at the bottom of the fountain, through the gently bubbling water, he could see Horsea and Seadra, Tentacool and Tentacruel, Seel and Dewgong, all carved into the stone bottom. Around the base of the spout, there were alternating Shellder and Cloyster, above that, Staryu and Starmie, above that still, Slowpoke and Slowbro. On the upper pedestal, which was several feet in diameter, a Lapras sat gracefully, spouting water into the air. It's eyes were sapphires, and it calmly looked over the city square. Next to it on the same level was a giant ferocious Gyarados, contrasting the Lapras with it's angry expression. It's eyes shone blue as well, casting a protective stare over the city square as well. Carter was absorbed by it's beauty.

Erin looked around unimpressed by the fountain and the buildings from the looks of it they weren't all to big on rattata, everyone seemed to freak out when he ran to introduce himself and one lady even screamed as he ran up and ran away. Rattata soon returned with his head turned to the ground and a weak voice only for machop, who was admiring the city began to play with the rodent and before long he was back to his normal self. Erin looked to the gyrados and smiled. That sure looked strong, He wanted to catch one for his own but that seemed stupid not with any normal pokeball. Looking down to his mankey in the pokeball, he wasn't ready to let it out for good. He wondered what would have happened without rosia, she was clearly the leader if the group, but he was sure that he was the protagonist. Though in reality he wasn't a very good trainer with only three pokemon and one being untrustful but in his world he was the best around. "say what's the gym leader like around here.

Shadow sat on the back of his pidgeot. They had been flying for well over an hour. They had been on mt silver training for a while. They started to descend down as they got closer to cerulian city. They landed in front of the pokemon center and went inside. James handed over his pokemon and waited to get them back. After he got them back he left the pokemon center and walked to the town center with his garchomp let out of its poke ball.

Rosina walked over to the gym and looked at the sign. "It says the gym is Water type, and the Leader is Misty. What a pretty name. I think i need to do some training before i take her on." she said. "I'm going to head over to the next route with my pokemon." she finished with a smile before walking off.

She got to a bridge that looked out over a pond and suddenly, she wanted to go there instead. As she passed multiple trainers, she promised to battle them on the way back, and they let her through. Upon reaching the preety pond she saw some pokemon swimming and playing around. She took out her pokedex and registered a Magikarp, Goldeen, Poliwag, Ducklett, and a few others she'd seen before. Gracefully sitting down and placing the egg far enough away from the water, she released her Cottonee and Azurill who immediately went to play with the others. Though Drift didnt go in the water, he seemed content with just looking.

Deciding just to dip her feet in, she removed her sneakers and socks before doing so. She kicked at the water lightly and then heard a familiar rustling of bushes.

"Is that you again Pachirisu?" she called looking in that direction she heard the sound. Sure enough the little squirrel popped out of the bushes and ran over to her. It dropped something on her lap and she looked at it, surprised to see it was her ponytail she lost in Viridian Forest.

"Oh, thanks cutie pie." she said scratching its chin.

"Pachi!" it said before going to play with her other pokemon.

Erin went to train the three of his pokemon an the next route, so content on making them stronger, he hardly noticed that rosia had been at a pond near by, and after beating a few trainers and quite a few pokemon he decided to meet with her before going to the next gym, surprised that no pokemon had evolved yet, they took out many trainers with ease and nothing really seemed wrong with his pokemon and him as partners, except mankey but they were growing on each other. As he noticed the new pokemon with cottonee and azurill he smiled at how cute her team was, maybe that was all she wanted, cute pokemon that could be here pets. Erin tried his best not to but couldn't resist from smiling at the pokemon playing, especially cottonee. "so are you training or just fooling around?" he said seeing her with out shoes on.

James walked around in the city for a while before deciding to head off to cerulian cave to try and get a bit more training in with his team. He walked over to the bridge and crossed it. Non of the trainers even asked him to battle. He walked until he reached the other side of the bridge and then decided to talk a walk towards bills house wondering if bill would be in today.

Rosina smiled at Erin. "Um, if i had to choose one, i'd say fooling around. I just...like to see pokemon happy. And, i dont ever want Cottonee or Azurill to think all their good for is helping me, you know? I gotta let pokemon be pokemon." she noticed from the corner of her eye was someone walking with a really big and scary looking pokemon. She nearly yelped in fright but then realized it was actually quite cool. She stood up fast and waved her arms, yelling. "Hey! Heyyy! Trainer with that big pokemon, over here!" Her attempt to get his attention seemed to work as he appeared to have stopped walking.

Rosina tried to thing back to her time as a Ranger...she could have sworn she'd seen that pokemon before. Well, hopefully she wasn't disturbing the other trainer. "Azul, Drift, come here for a sec." she called, wanting her pokemon to meet the big one. They both came over, followed by the Pachirisu. Shrugging, she grabbed her egg in one arm and Erin's hand with the other, dragging him over to the other guy.
