I suppose they could *let* the current government keep running itself, but technically, without SOLDIER there to protect them, the vampires could just kill anyone they wanted. So I guess, yes, the USA is now Magnus' kingdom. We probably shouldn't get too technical.

I actually kind of like the idea of Magnus having used his army of vampires to have taken over the USA, slaughtering the government. It ould be a huge statement to other governments throughout the world, and could start a whole bunch of political intrigue.

And... you know the only way Mithias would allow the mass slaughter of innocents across the country would be, if he was either overwhelmed, or in that damn jar you saved my life with.

He can hibernate in the jar for a few months if we want. idk.

And who said anything about slaughtering innocents? He just takes out the president and any parlement members that object, maybe a religious leader or two, and names himself king. He'd have to take out the heads of the military, but through fear he could quite easily take over.
