Spider-Man leapt out of the alley way, shooting webs out of both wrists, using it as a slingshot. His speed was incredible. He couldn't believe this. He couldn't believe he was the reason for all of this! He should have kissed Lexi so much sooner.... he should have told her about Spider-Man, how for his first few months he went on a spree to find Uncle Ben's murderer. Now his decisions have lead to a psychopath trying to kill him, and get Lexi! He easily made it past the police, he assumed that none of them wanted him to go in there in a risk of bystanders dying... He landed on the side of the wall, right above the open doorway. He moved noiselessly, going through through the top, and to his horror, he saw Lexi sitting next to her parents, with the man holding rope.
NO!! He wasn't going to lose Lexi! He shot his web at the back of the man's head, and pulled as hard as he possibly could. His head shattered the hard wood. A few gasps and celebrations happened when they saw Spider-Man. "Okay, Jolly Green Giant..." He said, as the man got up, giggling quietly. "heard you were looking for little ole me... No need to hold anyone hostage." He said, staring at the very strange man...
If it was make up, it was a very good (yet disgusting) display of a man that looked like a goblin. He glared at Peter with full hatred, a very unsettling smile spreading across his cracked lips. "The Spider is here! and so is the lovely Miss Rogers..." He said, looking at her. Spider-Man shot his web at his cheek, and made him face Spidey again. "You've reached a strong 90 on the creepy scale, buddy..." Spider-Man said, shaking his head.
He laughed. "'Buddy!' I'm not your 'Buddy'! You stole her from me!" He screamed, Spider-Man keeping his ground while others cowered in fear. This really was a strange man... then he squinted a bit. "Rick...? Rick Archer? What happened to you...?" He asked.
"Why say it like a bad thing, Spider-Man?!" He shouted gleefully. "We feel so much better like this!" We...? "Look... Rick, just let everyone go... We can solve this, I want to help you!" He said, holding out his hands in front of him, his spider senses tingling.
"Help me? Help me?! You think i brought you here was to help ME?" He asked with wild fits of laughter. "No no no... I won't be letting anyone go... They won't want to miss watching me squish the bug!" He said with a sinister grin. People whimpered. Spider-Man looked around, then innocently pointed at himself. The Green Goblin nodded. "Yes... these people won't idolize you when they see you fall... I will become the protector of this city... and will destroy anyone who apposes me! Unlike you! You're weak! Death is your downfall i'm assuming..." He grinned his new signature sinister grin. "Lets see how much the people of New York mean to you!" He pressed a button on his wrist, and the spider senses that were going off were going off even louder now. A glider burst through the wall, sending debris everywhere, large blades on the front of it now, heading straight for a group of teenagers.
Spider-Man leapt off the ground, shooting web from both web shooters, and using all his strength to steer the glider off course. It crashed inches away from them, breaking through the wall. Spider-Man landed, and when he turned the Green Goblin was there to greet him, hitting him as hard as Spider-Man could have. He went flying in to a wall. The Goblin laughed gleefully. "Ooohhh! This will be fun! Truly a talented young man.... I will enjoy ripping that mask off and seeing terror in your last living moments... then its off to Peter Parker's house... Yes... her other half..." He muttered almost to himself.
Peter opened his eyes and dove for the Goblin, wrapping his arm around his throat and shooting webs in his face. "Everyone GO! Leave the room! Hurry!" Peter was elbowed in the face, he could taste blood as he held on for dear life, looking at Lexi, praying she would run out of here.
