"ahh, no lunch or dinner for me. I'm on a diet." He said lightly, patting his stomach as she grabbed on to him. "Alright, hang on!" He leapt off the ground, and then flicked his free hand to produce a web, and they swung around up in to the sky. She held him tight... hey, Peter wasn't complaining. He tried to take his time, but it was a very short distance. As he landed in front of her house, glancing around to make sure that they were quite alone. he gave a small laugh at her remark. Her fingertips sent electricity down his body, the feeling on his chest felt incredible.

He was grateful that she respected his identity, although felt guilty that she knew nothing about him. Their lips touched again, and he didnt know if it were spider senses or peter senses, but his arms went around her gently. her leg went against his, and then she felt her soft warm tongue. He tilted his head, returning the passionate kiss. Peter always wondered what it would be like for Lexi and Peter to share a kiss... and not even his mind could expect it to be more amazing than this. If this were to continue... he would have to tell her at some point...

But at this moment, his tongue was playing with hers, her body was pressed against his, and he wanted it to last for as long as it could. Then a car door slammed, and Peter turned to the noise. It was one of the populars. Rick Archer squinted to see if his eyes could get a better view. Peter let go of Lexi, looking at her, half of his face still visible, and he gave her a grin. "Try not to get in to too much trouble. Sitting on your roof and breaking curfew will be enough." With one last kiss to her lips he pulled his mask back down, and shot out a web and he was off.

The exhilaration of having his tongue greet hers was intoxicating. Her heart was pounding, her head was spinning and her whole being was screaming yes to the whole situation. How often does one get a chance to say that they made out with a superhero? Probably not many. Her body leaned into him, wanting the situation to last for a longer while than their last one but alas, something happened as it always does during romantic moments much like this.

Her head turned as Spider-Man broke the kiss to see Ricky starting towards them. Of course! Well at least it wasn’t her parents… or Peter. God knows Peter would want some answers and would probably have questions that neither one of them could answer. But the disappointment spread across her face rather quickly as Ricky squinted to approach them. The light of the street lamp was very bright over their heads and her attention turned to see a large grin on Spider-Man’s face. Her head tilted to one side, not prepping for the kiss but actually to see his grin. Weird… it look famil… Her thoughts were cut off by the quick kiss and her mind raced with other thoughts as she watched him take of into the sky.

“What was that all about?” Ricky said, his sudden arrival making Lexi nearly jump out of her skin.

“What was what all about?” She asked innocently as she opened the small gate to her house and started on the footpath towards the door.

“I think you know. I come here to check up on you after last night’s chaos and I see you kissing Spider-Man.” Lexi just keep walking, not paying attention to Ricky as he spoke. “You can’t just go running off with some crazy dude in pajamas…”

That got her attention. “He is not a crazy dude in his Pajamas.” She snapped, stopping half way down the path to turn to him, “That is a man, a man who stands up for what he believes is right. With or without superpowers, I admire his courage and his drive to fight for justice.”

Ricky may not be the brightest bulb in the box but something seemed to click at that moment. He began to wag his finger at her. “You two have something going on.”

This instantly got a laugh from her as she started up again on the footpath. “Yeah like he has a crush on me.” Her voice filled with sarcasm.

“It’s not him I was referring to.” Ricky said in a shape tone as he stood at the bottom of the steps leading onto the porch.

Lexi stopped at her door, turning around she rested her back against the entrance to her home and looked at Ricky, a small bit of sadness in her eyes. “Ricky listen, I don’t know how to explain this properly so I’m going to try it once. My heart belongs to two people at this moment. One half of it does, in fact, belong to Spider-Man but the other and more powerful half belongs to someone else.” The jock in front of her puffed out his chest with pride, thinking it was him, his expression was to the effect of Better half then none, half is easier to get back. “And that other half belongs to someone I’ve known for many years, someone who has gone through so much in his young life and someone I’m very proud to call my best friend. And Ricky, I’m sorry but it’s not you.” She said with a small nod before open the door. “Just because you don’t own my heart doesn’t mean I don’t want to be friends. I’ll see you at school tomorrow. Good night.”

With that she disappeared into the house, leaving the baffled football star in her walkway looking confused.

Spider-Man hung on to the side of lexi's house, listening in to the conversation. He want going to leave me I with another guy... Was it jealousy, or the fear he could hurt her? He didn't know. As he listened he got rather offended at the pajamas part... This was expensive material! And he had to patch it up every time he got it scratched or burned of stained! Then his heart sunk when he heard her saying that half her heart belonged to someone else... But then it starting beating louder in his ears... She was attracted to me? Peter Parker, the dork who everyone at school picked on... The guy who was secretly her other crush? He didn't know whether he should be overjoyed, or guilty that he hasn't told her... He would have to some time... He couldn't stand having her fall for a stranger rather than himself... He didn't want to be wearing a suit for her to just kiss him because she could...

He heard the door close, and looked around to see a confused, and angry Rick staring at the door. "That's right... Walk away..." Peter muttered as he saw him storm back to his car... He sighed, still sticking to the side of the house.... He would do a quick sweep around the city, then go to bed... A joyful day at school lay ahead of him. It wouldn't take long before rick out two and two together, and he would get harassed by the whole football team soon enough.. The worst part is that he had to take the hits. He wasn't going to use his powers for selfish reasons. With great power, comes great responsibility.

Lexi dreamed of Spider-Man, as if they were swinging through the city; she got to see everything from his point of view. In her dream, they stopped on top of the Statue of Liberty where they were just about to kiss as she pulled the mask off of his face. Her dream took a different perspective where she couldn’t see the face of her masked hero but a darkness grew over them and a laugh so cynical that she awoke with a freak, her body flying up out of her bed, her forehead drenched in sweat. A shiver shook her body as she thought about the scary laugh she had just heard. That... was scary... She thought to herself as she climbed out of bed to prep herself for school.

The day went by rather smoothly even though she had to be dropped off by her parents before they went to work. Since her car was part of the fire, she still needed to get a new one. It took some convincing but her parents finally agreed to let her take a karate class. She really needed to keep herself up safe; she couldn’t rely on Spider-Man on the time, right? In Geography, she was drawing her note book, strangely ironic she was drawing a picture of Peter’s face with his cheeky smile, when she’d want to draw something else, she would turn the page and draw on the picture of a face shot of Spider-Man, and she would flip through the two drawings in order to keep herself from getting too bored.

Lunch rolled around and the raven haired girl sat out in the sun, munching on the sandwich she had made; waiting for Peter to join her for lunch.

What was supposed to be a quick sweep in the city lasted much longer than Peter would have liked. There were gun shots reported by the police, and Spider-Man spent the whole night trying to track them down. With the help of police cooperation (The night shift police officers couldn't get enough of his jokes, he didn't know if it was exhaustion, or their boredom that made them laugh so hard) they found the culprits. Peter only got a couple hours of sleep, and woke up late. He dashed down the stairs after getting dressed , took a piece of toast and downed a glass of orange juice, kissed Aunt May on the cheek, and took off. he jumped on his skate board. He didn't have his driver's license and when he couldn't use his web shooters, his trusty board was by his side. He barely made it to class on time, and throughout the day he couldn't stop thinking about the problem he was in...

Kissing Lexi last night was fantastic... but she thought it was someone who wasn't Peter... If he told her who he was, would she laugh? vomit? think he's joking? be furious? He kept this from her longer than he should if he did want to tell her... maybe he would understand that he was protecting those that meant the most to him...?

When he came to he realized that class ended, and he was in the hall, walking to his next class. His spider senses went crazy all of the sudden, but he knew what was about to happen. With a small sigh he was pushed hard in to a locker, not feeling pain, but giving a fake wince as Flash Thompson, his most hated person in his life walk by, laughing, Rick Archer by his side, smiling back at him. He guessed he figured out who Lexi Roger's best friend was... He picked up his backpack, and merged back in to the crowd.

As lunch came Peter didn't have time to bring anything from his home, so he bought a soda from the vending machine and a package of fruit snacks. A feast for a true super hero... He scanned the school yard for Lexi when he heard yelling erupt. "What where you're going, you dumb kid!" Flash Thompson yelled. There was a younger kid staring at the ground, his lunch all over the ground, stepped on by Flash int he collision. It was obvious Flash ran in to him while trying to catch a football.

"You going to say something, kid?" He said to him, and pushing him a bit. Peter couldn't take it. He made his way through the forming crowd. "Back off, Flash." Peter said to him, standing in between the young kid and the giant senior. The crowd laughed. "Oh, hey Parker! Rick and I were going to visit you later, but it seems that you've made your way to us." Flash said. "Look, just let the kid go, alright?"

"Not a chance. He got food all over my jacket."

Peter couldn't resist himself. "Oh yeah, this jacket... I was going to ask you about it! Do they make it in men's or...?" He asked as if it were an honest question. Flash didn't like that. Peter could have easily dodged the flying punch. He could have countered and made him run in to a tree. The crowd would have been cheering for him... You owe the world your gifts. You just have to figure out how to use them

His gifts weren't going to be used to stoop to his level. And with that mind set, Peter fell to the ground, his ears ringing, and the side of his head swelling and numb. The crowd laughed, and Flash made his exit. Peter stumbled to his feet. Some looking sympathetic, but not doing anything to help. Other laughed at how much of a dork he was... The freshman was still there, staring at him. Peter pulled out his wallet and pulled out five dollars. "here... for your lunch..." He said with a small smile on his face. The kid took it gratefully, saying thank you, and ran off.

Peter spat blood on to the ground, picked up his backpack and his two dollar lunch, and looked through a swollen eye for Lexi.

Poor Lexi was off in her own little world, imagining what life would be like if she ever ran into Spider-Man’s real self. There’s no way he ran around in the suite all the time. He had to be a real person doing real things and he had to have some interests. Maybe they had things in common aside from sitting on rooftops; maybe they could get along outside of the realm of his superhero ways. But could she really sit back and watch someone risk their life just to keep the city safe. Running out at wee hours of the night and leave her guessing on whether he’d return home or not. All these questions echoed in her mind as something to consider if she ever did date a superhero. It would really come down to, does she love the man enough to let him do what he loved to do.

Her world was broken when one of her friend walked by, “Hey Lexi, your nerdy friend just got punched in the face by Flash.”

“What?!” Lexi shouted jumping off the bench and grabbed her things. “Where?!” She followed the direction of her friend’s finger and hurried off. Her gaze scanned the crowd of people before she saw him. “Peter!” She shouted before getting to him. “Oh my god,” She said softly looking at his face. “Flash did this to you? Why?”

Before he could answer, Rick and Flash had found them; Flash smirking a victorious smirk before Rick spoke, “Lexi we need to talk about Saturday.”

“No we need to talk about why the two of you are picking on my friend.”

“Your best friend.” Rick corrected and as the color faded from Lexi’s face, he continued to speak. “Saturday as you may or may not be aware is prom night and you are going to be my date.”

Her blue eyes narrowed, she knew where this was going, and no matter what way she looked at it; she’d be in the doghouse and she wasn’t ready for Peter to find out, especially not like this. “On one condition.” She said sharply. “You leave Peter alone.”

A small nod left him and he turned around, “See you Saturday.” With that he walked away.

Lexi gave a large roll of her blue eyes, well her secret was safe for now. Turning to Peter she pulled him to sit down on the nearby picnic table. “Peter what on earth happened?!”

"I was being a smartass, trying to help someone not get hit. the usual" He said, rather irritated as he glared at Rick walking away, the pain from his face was not as noticeable.. "What did you do? I can take hits, Lex! you don't need to go out with that.. guy!" He realized that he was yelling, his fists clenched as he glared at the football star getting high fives, probably saying how Lexi didn't hesitate to say yes, and she blushed. He shook his head. "I got a thick head, remember? I can take a few punches... But i'm not sure if you can survive the night with him making a move on you every two seconds..." He said, touching his eye and holding back a wince. A plus side of Spider-Man's abilities: he healed much faster than regular people.

He didn't like the Rick kid. He never was a jerk to him before... But he never stopped Flash from starting fights. He stood and laugh... and he didn't like him ever since last night... for obvious reasons.
Rick Archer was talking to his fellow football players and cheerleaders, talking about how lucky he got getting Lexi Rogers. He kept glancing over at her, noticing how the Parker kid looked rather angry... He afraid of a little competition? He laughed a bit... He had an appointment at Oscorp today thanks to his father... He was going to be the first to try and new prototype serum that would give him all the powers of that Spider-Man guy, and more! Lexi would be all over him then.....

Taking his head in her hands, she leaned in, the smell of the vanilla perfume noticeable on her as she examined his eye. It’s not as bad as it could have been, especially with how hard Flash could throw a punch if he truly wanted to. Unknown to Lexi, that was her friend’s super powers healing him after than a normal person. “Looks like he didn’t get you too bad, that’s good.” She let go of him in time to get the lecture about what she had done and she allowed her hands to fall into her jean covered lap with a thud as her sweatshirt covered chest fell in a sigh. “It’s a long story I’m not ready to get into yet okay. Let’s just leave it at that.” Lifting her small shoulders into a shrug she reached into her lunch container and pulled out a second sandwich. Placing it in Peter’s hand she began to explain. “I agreed to be his date but I never said I’d go.”

A small laugh left her and she held up her hand to pause him from giving any sort of a negative reaction. “It’s just another dance that’s all. I’m not worried about missing it. Besides it’s not like he’s the person I want to go with anyway.” She said softly as she took out her half eaten sandwich and took a bite. Chewing and swallowing she tilted her head. “Who are you going to ask to prom? There’s got to be someone who tickled your fancy.” She said in a teasing manor as she gave his leg a small kick. Peter was a tough guy and he’d throw a fit if she tried to drag him to the nurse’s office. So what’s her solution to the problem? Feed him and make him happy. A pretty good plan huh?

Peter held his breath, trying hard not to take in the perfume as he stared at her with one puffy eye. It'll get worse before it gets better, but it'll probably be good to go within a few hours. As opposed to the Lizard he fought a year ago, Flash's punch was like a pillow now that he thought about it. Peter then stared at her, trying to figure out her long story, but he knew. A smile spread across his face when she said she didn't plan on going, even though he shouldn't. He took a bite of the sandwich, thanking her with a grunt as he devoured it. Then he looked up at her, giving a laugh and shook his head. "The only girl that would like to keep a conversation with me is you... and anyone who did have an interest in my probably lost all of them after that punch to the face..." He said with a weak smile. "It's just a dance, as you said..." He trailed off, then looked up at her.

"When cleaning out Uncle Ben's boxes i found some home videos... and almost half of them are titled 'Pete and Lexi'" He said with an embarrassing laugh and smile. "Since you're skipping prom and i have no chance of going, how about we sit down at my place, buy a pizza, and since you're coming in to adult hood, you can see your childhood life all in front of you." He said, running a hand through his hair. He knew it was rather lame, but he knew that if she didn't say yes, he was going to watch them anyway... that and it would give him more time with her, and let her forget a bit about Spider-Man...

Raising an eyebrow at him as he said she was the only girl that would talk to him. Okay, so it was kind of true, she and he could hold a conversation for hours without any interruptions except for the desperate need to go to the bathroom. “Well,” She said to his comment about people losing interested at the punch in the face, “You never know.” Her small shoulders rose and fell in a shrug as she buried herself in her sandwich keeping every thought she could off of him, not wanting to mention her feelings towards him and hoping he would ask her.

When he mentioned about the home videos and that she was going to become an adult, she gave him a cheeky smile. “That sounds like a wonderful way to spend my Saturday. Though… I have one request.” She leaned forward a bit, whispering to him, “Seeing as though I’m not going to prom, I did buy a dress. It would be a waste to never wear it. Do you mind if I wear it to your house? I’d feel bad that I purchased the dress and never got to wear it.” And the person I’d want to wear it for is who’s house I’m going to… either that or out fighting crime. When he agreed to it she beamed and the day of school began.
The week was slow, so slow, Rick had begun to act weird. Somewhat withdrawn and reserved, even form his own friends. But there was that twinkle of arrogance in his eyes whenever he looked at her. Either that he was excited he thought she was his date or he had some kind of secret compared to everyone else. This just made her roll her eyes and ignore him at school. He was leaving Peter alone and even Flash left him alone. Though he did get a good lecture from her when they walked back inside from school that day that defending yourself doesn’t make you a bad person; she even referenced Spider-Man and that if the criminals gave him the choice he wouldn’t go out of his way to hurt them, he just subdues them. Then she had to explain about her encounter with him on Sunday night but left out the kiss, she’d be in the doghouse enough as is.

Saturday finally showed up and her parents thought she was going to prom since she spent all day prepping like any happy teen would but little did they know she wasn’t going. And they weren’t too happy when she told them that her date was meeting her there. They called it ungentleman-like and everything but refusing to let her walk to the school they gave her her mom’s jeep and sent her on her way with loving speeches and reminders to be safe. She gave them a small wave, grabbed her bag with a change of clothes so when she called them from Peter’s and said she was staying the night, she wouldn’t have to come home.

Soon the raven haired girl knocked on his door, her pink and black dress her long black hair pulled back into a bun and clipped, her signature perfume aligning her neck and shoulders. She pushed down the ruffles of the black dress as she climbed out of the jeep and locked it. Feeling to make sure everything was in place properly and her flower perfectly rested against her upper left hip, she raised her hand up and knocked on the door, her small bag in her right hand with her clothes for the morning, she listened patiently for Peter to come get the door. She wasn’t sure what the situation was with Aunt May tonight but it shouldn’t be an issue. Could…. Could she tell him tonight?

Rick became... different that Monday. That visit to Oscorp was exciting, wonderful, and it made him realize how great this would be!! "Now, this serum is a prototype... are you positive you want to go through with this?" A concerned scientist asked, holding a vial of green liquid. Rick was introduced to what was called as the "Goblin Serum" A serum meant to enhance his strength, speed, reflexes, healing factor and his mind to super human levels. They never tested it on a human before, but they were going to eventually, why shouldn't it be him? He nodded. "My father gave you the money, didn't he?" He asked, strapping himself in to a doctor's table, four needles to be inserted in his neck, and legs. The serum also came with a suit to help stabilize the serum, as well as a flying Hovercraft.

When the serum took over it was pain that he's never felt before... then it was a strong sense of power.... he loved it! His home was large enough to hold both his glider and new suit.... and he felt on top of the world... but as the days went on, voices started appearing. His own, but it sounded higher pitched, telling him he should do something over and over again... Kill the Spider.... Get the girl... you'll be have the city like the wall crawler does now... It kept repeating. He also became consumed with random laughing fits, and then flashes of anger. The more he saw Lexi with Peter, the louder the voices talked.... no longer did he fear them. He smiled at their idea.
Peter gathered up all his money from selling his photos and allowances and piled it up, counting as soon as he got home on friday night. Not only did he have Flash trying to catch him without Lexi at his side, but she also seemed to be nagging, and telling how Spider-Man deals with things... He knew exactly how Spider-Man worked. Now he had to worry about getting a suit. A nice one. One that wasn't too big for him, or made him look like a complete dork. He gathered his money, and finally decided on his suit (with Aunt May's help. She was absolutely thrilled at this idea, and it made Peter blush a lot.) He spent his afternoons and mornings patrolling the city... it was always the same thing. Ever since the Lizard was caught, there hasn't been anything too challenging for the web slinger...

Saturday night came. He nervously put on the suit, it was formal, but not too fancy or anything like that... he cleared the living room for the pizza and movies as well as a possible dance session.... He debated whether or not to wear the Spidey suit under his fancy one... but it was safe in his room. Aunt May declared that she was going to visit a friend's house, giving Peter a smile. He loved how understanding Aunt May was. Then came the knock on the door. He looked at himself in the mirror, splashed a tiny bit of cologne on him (Uncle Ben gave it to him for his birthday), and tried desperately to fix his tie. His messy hair was a lost cause, but it fit him perfectly. He could face a whole gang of thugs and not be the tiniest bit afraid... but this was making his heart beat out of his throat.

He opened the door, and was speechless at the sight of Lexi in such a beautiful dress. He always thought she was beautiful, but she looked like a goddess there. "erm.. Hey! thought i'd dress up too... didn't want you to be too uncomfortable while i'm in my jeans and hoodie." He said with a smile, his voice breaking a bit, trying to calm himself. He stood aside from the door to let her in... Now he was second guessing the pizza and dorky movie ideas....

Lexi’s gaze had moved around the street, for some reason she was more excited to get inside and see Peter than she was in the possible chance that she would run into Spider-Man. Maybe she was getting over the idea of being with Spider-Man and was able to think of Peter and only Peter. A small sigh left her as she finally heard footsteps to the door, she didn’t mind the idea of just being in a dress without him being in something special but to her surprise, he was dressed up too. Her gaze went from his head down his shoulders to his pants, his shoes then back to his face. “Wow!” She said, her voice filled with a lot more excitement then she wanted to let on. “This, I wasn’t expecting.” A nod lifted her head as she stepped inside the house. “But that doesn’t mean you don’t look dashing.” Really? Dashing?! as she turned her head away she mentally kicked herself. Really?! You’re going to use the word dashing.

“I thought I could crash on the couch tonight if we ended up staying up to late. With walking home last Sunday not being a big success, I think I’d rather stay here where I know I’m safe.” A smile moved across her shining pink lips as she looked over her shoulder at him and kicked off her shoes, following the rule of the house. The only thing was she wore a pair of black short shorts under the dress. Why? Simple, she didn’t want to accidentally show her underwear. Better safe than sorry; especially if they start running around the house like morons as they do on several occasions. “Oh I brought an additional movie.” She said reaching into her bag after she walked into the living room. “Killer Clowns From Outer Space.” Holding up the box she gave a small laugh. “A cheesy B horror film with creepy clowns; thought it might be fun.” She gave a shrug to her shoulders as she put the movie down on the coffee table and looked around. “Where’s Aunt May?” While she was asking a question, her voice didn’t seem very concerned; and if one were to guess, she kind of didn’t want her to be there.

Dashing? Peter raised his eyebrows, playfulness in his eyes. "Dashing, That's quite lovely for you to say!" Peter said in a british accent, then laughing. "Aunt May almost had a heart attack when i told her i was getting a suit. Never in a million years would she thought i would be wearing a tie..." He grinned, watching her make herself at home. "Oh, that's completely fine." He responded to her comment about staying the night. It wasn't the first time she has, so it wasn't that awkward... but now that he knew how she felt about him... He laughed at her movie choice. "B rated? I heard nothing but praise at the box office about this one! Nominated for a few awards." He said, his voice full of sarcasm.

At the mention of Aunt May, Peter's cheeks turned a bit red. "Oh she decided to go visit a friend tonight. Says she's missed a lot of poker nights for a while..." He said giving a weak smile, glancing at her beautiful soft lips.... Then he snapped back to reality

"So... i forgot to order the pizza... I'll go do that, make yourself at home... want anything to drink?" He asked her as he walked in to the kitchen, grabbing the home phone mounted on the wall.
She's not here...

Probably with the Spider...

Probably?! You fool! She IS with him!

Squish him... Squish squish squish!

The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout... down came the Goblin and crushed the Spider out...!

laughter erupted in Rick Archer's head as he stood outside the school, clearly upset that Lexi was a no show... She must be with that freak... He thought he was sooo much better than everyone... So much stronger and smarter and better than he! Not anymore... ooohhh his body tingled at the vision of crushing Spider-Man's head....

The real Rick Archer would never envision himself killing a man... laughing at the thought of going after Peter Parker next... but the Green Goblin found these thoughts inviting... He thought of the name yesterday, and it felt very fitting. Over the few days his skin was turning a pale green, his fingernails were sharper, his eyes turning a poison green color...

FIND THE GIRL!! WE HAVE WAITED LONG ENOUGH!

Kill the Spider! Squish him! or are you too weak?

"I AM NOT WEAK!" Rick screamed, making a couple walk by jump and rush in to the gym. Rick was breathing heavy... Now was his night... his night to win Lexi Rogers, and to get rid of The Spider-Man... and anyone else who thought they were better than him!

“Oh I’m sure she did, and I don’t blame her.” Lexi said with a joking tone to her mouth, her tongue sticking out her tongue at him when he talked how stunned Aunt May was about Peter getting a suite. She was rather stunned herself. Especially with the tie; it just seemed to pull everything together and give him a charming look with his quirky hair and witty cheeky smile. Turning back, she placed her bag down next to the coffee table and sat down tucking her legs underneath her.

His sarcasm made her smirk, her elbow rose up and rested on the back of the couch as she looked up at him, her blue eyes twinkling with playfulness as her lips curled into a smirk. “Oh it was the Oscar for best B rated movie out there. It’s supposed to be so bad it’s scary.” Sticking out her tongue playfully at him in a joking fashion, she pulled it back into her mouth and tilted her head to one side, “Cheesy cheese pizza please. Oh!” She said turning around before getting the view of him walking away. Her bottom lip folded inward in her mouth before she realized that she was actually in the middle of saying something before she cut herself off. “Pepsi please.” Oh yes, that was a long empty pause to decide what type of beverage you wanted.

The box was sitting off the coffee table in front of her had the videos in it and she reached forward, pulling it off the table and placing it next to her. Pushing through the tapes, she read some of the titles, “Pete’s 3rd b-day”, “School talent show”, then one she found that confused her. “Confessions of a 5yr old”. “Huh…” She said softly. Climbing off the couch she slipped it into the TV. “Hey Peter. I found what I think we should start with.” She pulled herself back onto the couch, leaving her long toned tan legs stretched across the seated area as she pushed the power onto the TV.

The screen popped up with Peter and Lexi, the mini versions of themselves they used to be. “What is this?” She questioned as she turned up the volume.

Aunt May’s voice was clearing giggling in the background and Uncle Ben’s voice could be heard telling her to quiet down. “So kids, these are questions everyone wants to know the answers to; here we go.”

“What’s the reason for living?”

“Cupcakes… Pizza… friends. And love!” Is how little Lexi answered the question.

“What’s the most important thing in life?”

“Love and cupcakes.” Lexi answered after Peter answered.

“How old do people get?”

“50…? 50 seems old. 50.” Lexi answered innocently, her black hair in pony tails and her bright blue eyes twinkling.

“How are you going to marry?”

Young Lexi pointed to Peter. “My best friend. All you do when you’re married is just have sleep overs every night.”

Soon-to-be-adult Lexi slapped her hand around her mouth, her face turned bright red with embarrassment before she let out a long laugh. She wasn’t expecting to run across something like this. She could only hope that Peter didn’t walk in at that moment, especially seeing her reaction. “Oh my god, I can’t believe that this was done!"

Peter waited for response to the question of a drink, then gave a smile and nod to her answer. He ordered her pizza (extra cheese for Lexi) and looked through the fridge for the Pepsi.

"Cupcakes... Pizza... Friends.And love!"
"To be happy with friends!"
Lexi and peter's voices yelled.

Raising an eyebrow he walked in to see Lexi covering her mouth, red faced and embarrassed.

"No! That's not right!" Young Peter said to Lexi, shaking his messy hair. Peter were kissing a few teeth, and wore glasses when he was five... Bit was he a ladies man... "You live to..." He walked over to uncle Ben. "How old are you?" He whispered to him, but the camera catching all of it. Aunt May lost it.

And when Lexi made her marry comment, Peter simply nodded with a smile, looking very happy. Uncle Ben then turned the camera around to reveal his face, his eyebrows raised just how peter does. His dark brown hair starting to gray. "I'll remember that, Pete... I'm not that old..." He said with a smile

Peter handed her the bottle of Pepsi, coughing a bit, face red, and running a hand through his hair. He didn't know what to say. But even embarrassed, Lexi looked very beautiful. "You were a cute kid." Peter said with a smile, taking a small corner of the couch as Lexi. "Life was so much easier back then." He said with a sigh... It wasn't until much later that he would be picked on, and wonder where his parents were, and how he wouldn't get any answers from anyone... But those things weren't important right now. Looking at Lexi in that dress made peter's heart beat almost as much as kissing her as Spider-Man...

Lexi found herself laughing at Uncle Ben’s response about comment about not being that old, her cheeks were dying down from the redness as Peter handed her a bottle of Pepsi. “Thank you.” Her voice was sweet and as he sat down she moved her legs out of the way, tucking them under her as she kept looking back at the TV. Her lips pressed together as she listened to the show and turned the cap, opening the bottle of soda. “And you were cute an adorable young man.”

The next question that showed up really surprised her.

“How do you show you love someone?”

“Oh!” Little Lexi said, as if she knew the answer already the answer. “Oh… Oh oh oh. I know this!” She said quickly to herself, fanning her face much like she did even at her current age. “Oh!!” Her loud and excited as if she finally figured it out. “My mom and dad do this!”

With that she turned to Peter, placing a hand on each of his cheeks and pulled him forward, pressing her lips hard against his. The kiss didn’t last too long before Lexi pulled back and the sound of their lips parting as an echo that even filled the empty house they were in watching the video. Young Lexi stared down Peter, a bright smile across her full flips and her right front tooth missing. “I love you!” At that Uncle Ben and Aunt May exploded with laughter and Lexi’s hands dropped to her lap, much like she still did as an almost-adult. “What???” She asked blue eyes wide as if she had done something wrong. “That’s what they do, I swear.”

“We’re not laughing at you my dear.” Aunt May said sweetly, “It’s just not common to see two five year olds kissing each other than telling them they love them.” As Lexi looked confused the camera cut out to Uncle Ben and Aunt May’s laughter.

Lexi’s face was back to being bright red as her hand went to her forehead. “I had to find this one first… I just had too huh?” She muttered under her breath before pulling her head out of her hand, her eyes twinkling as she pressed her lips together for a moment before letting them go. “Well at least my first kiss wasn’t with Mark in second grade; he had horrible breath.” A small laugh left her as her lips curled into a smile. Maybe… maybe she could tell him tonight, but she didn’t want to blur out and say it. “Though Peter I hope your technique has improved.” Says the girl who kissed him, “Because you really should be able to leave a lasting impression with a kiss…” Like Spider-Man. Shit, she couldn’t get that man out of her mind! Peter, focus on Peter!

Peter laughed and rolled his eyes at her comment. He didn't see how child Peter could be considered cute... then he stood staring at the screen as Lexi kissed Peter, of course he had no idea what was happening. He was confused on why she kissed him. Is that how you love someone? he assumed his childhood self would say. Ben smiled as her heard Uncle Ben's laugh... then looked over to Lexi who had her head in her lap. then her comment made him smile. "That's because Mark would steal everyone's glue..." He said softly, looking in her eyes and then looking away. Then he looked back at her when she brought up his technique... if only she knew that she has kissed Peter Parker three times before, and the last one being the best thing in his life...

He didn't know whether or not it was his alter ego stepping up to help Peter up, but he moved closer, giving her a shrug. "I mean... I haven't heard the mop complain." He said, clearly joking with a laugh. Humor was his only advantage... Unless he went upstairs to reveal his secret... "Only one way to find out though..." He said softly. With those words he leaned in to put his lips on hers, gently and softly at first, then leaning back a bit, his eyes closed. He didn't hear retaliation... so he went for a more passionate kiss. Something he wanted for a long time now.
Rick Archer opened the door to his basement. He ran all the way home, but was not out of breath. He stormed down the stairs, and turned on the lights to reveal his new prized possessions. A dark green set of high tech armor, a refridgerator full of the Goblin serum, neon orange bombs, and the glider... Rick's mind was full of nothing but the thoughts of Spider-Man's corpse and Lexi. His skin was itchy where a patch of green skin laid under his collared shirt. He opened up the fridge, taking out a vial delicately. Rick was scared, trying his best to fight the whispers in his head.

Pathetic... How could she see anything in you when you don't have the balls to do anything? a raspy voice said, disgusted with him.

Don't you want the glory Spider-Man has? to crush anyone whose ever humiliated you, or hurt you?

"Sp-Spiderman doesn't kill..." Rick said, his hand now trembling, staring at the serum.

HE IS WEAK! He is not strong enough to take a life of his enemies... we are... and soon he will know that.

Rick stopped trembling, took a deep breath, and injected the serum in his leg. The pain came back. But this was so much worse than the first time. He started shaking violently, his finger nails turned yellow and pointed, his veins looked black underneath his green skin. The suit! he must get to the suit! He crawled over, his hair becoming a dark green now, his eyes turning yellow and his pupils a poisonous green. His teeth were pointed and hideous. He climbed in to the structure holding the suit, and soon enough he was in.... and suddenly all was well...

He gave a soft little giggle, staring at his hands, his nails sticking out of the gloves. he felt lighter, stronger, faster.... god it was a wonderful feeling! He gave a cackle, dancing around the room like... well... a goblin. then he stared at the glider, and stepped on. it powered up immediately. First.. he would visit Lexi's house.. they are probably making out on her porch! The thought made him growl, then he laughed creepily again. He will get what he deserved...... the glider lifted off the ground, and Rick burst through the ceiling, destroying his father's cars, and flew out in to the night, The Green Goblin laughing as he made his way to Lexi's house, unaware that she was at Peter's.

“Stealing and eating everyone’s glue. Yuck!” Lexi said sticking her tongue out and shaking her head. That was a horrid first memory of a kiss. The kid’s mouth was filled with glue and he grabbed her face, much like she did Peter’s and planted a big fat one on her in the middle of the playground. She had shoved him off and ran away screaming in terror. Funny, she didn’t have that reaction to kisses now. She didn’t have that reaction with Spider-Man and she knew she wouldn’t have that reaction with Peter.

His humor was his best weapon against her; she found it quirky, charming and actually funny. A small giggle left her as he made mention of kissing the mop, clearly she knew he was joking but she did notice that he inched closer and closer to her onto the little love seat they were on. Her arm moved and placed the bottle of Pepsi on the end table that was behind her, her back resting gently against the armrest as he got closer. Her heart was pounding in her chest, ringing in her ears and her fear was that he could heart it. Face still red, but not from the movie kiss anyone she watched him closely; his soft brown eyes seemed to be twinkling with some form of mischief. Holding her breathe she felt him lean in and his lips pressed gently against hers.

Head spinning, heart fluttering and breathing nearly stopping; Lexi felt more intensity from this kiss than she did with Spider-Man; most likely due to more developed and longer standing feelings for Peter. As he leaned into it, so she did, her hands traveled up his arms and onto his chest finding his tie; grabbing a hold of it lightly, she gave it a pull and brought him closer to her, not fearing the experience happening but embracing it to its fullest. She wasn’t going to let him get away that easily and she surely wasn’t going to let him think that she wasn’t enjoying herself.
The Roger’s home was relaxed, Angela was reading a book and Mark was typing away on his laptop; just a typical evening at their house as they waited for either a phone call or the arrival home of their daughter. A small sigh left Angela as she turned the page in her book, her attention moved up to Mark as she gave him a small grin. “Do you remember our prom night?”

Mark’s blue eye flicked up from his computer, a smile curled his fine lips as he shut the lip of his laptop and leaned back in the chair. “I remember you really didn’t want to go with me, and it took me three weeks to convince you to.”

“Well a girl can’t play easy to get. You got to make a man work for it.”

“And you made me work for it hard; everything since you has been easier than pie.” Mark said with a chuckle as he slid out of his seat and offered his wife his hand. “May I have this dance?”

“Oh my, what a gentleman.” Angela said playfully taking his hand and standing up as she set her book down on the coffee table. The couple shared a brief moment of dancing before the wind outside their home picked up to the point of intensity. Confusion moved across Angela’s face and as much as she didn’t want to break the cute moment with her husband, she had to. “Mark, they didn’t protect intense winds did they?”

“No…” He said softly as he turned to follow his wife’s gaze. It wasn’t long before the two were outside, the wind wiping like wildfire and stinging their faces as the two began to look around to try and find on earth was causing it. Soon their attention turned upward hearing a cynical laugh. To the couple’s horror, something was hovering above their house, causing it to shake and rumble; he… he had arrived.

"Good evening, Mister and Mrs. Rogers!" the man on the glider said, giggling quietly. It felt good to see terror on their faces. "I was just wondering why Lexi Rogers didn't attend prom tonight.... could she possibly be with the Spider..." He said with a growl, glaring at them with insane poison green eyes. Mr. Rogers looked at him closely. "Rick...?" He asked. "What do you mean? She's not at prom?" He asked, completely confused. "Yes, yes yes! I thought i would find her here face to face with the man everyone one calls a hero!" He screamed. He threw an orange ball down on the street. It erupted in fire. The Rogers screamed.

"Where is she?!" He yelled at them, holding another bomb.

"W-We don't know! We thought she was with you!" Mr. Rogers said, terrified, holding his wife to protect her. He had no idea what he was talking about, but he was completely crazy... he knew that Lexi must be at the Parker's house.... but he couldn't put his daughter and her friend's life on the line...

"very well... We are going somewhere to get the attention of the Spider-Man..." with that he rolled an orange bomb on to the ground at their feet. a green mist appeared, and they fell to the ground, unconscious.
Peter was intoxicated by her perfume, her lips, and her leaning up at him. Five year old peter would be disgusted by this scene... but boy was he loving it now. He put a hand gently on her cheek, holding it as if it were a priceless gem. Then he took another risk and slid her tongue in to her mouth, the sensation was unbelievable... He had to tell her. He had to tell her right now.

"Lex..." He said, breathing heavily from the kisses, and his nervousness. "I gotta tell you something... something i should have done a very long time ago..." He said, with a shy smile, hoping she wouldn't be too mad at the news. "I am--"

His phone rang in his pocket. he took it out, and to his horror it was Aunt May. He looked at Lexi, giving her an "i'm sorry!" look in his eyes as he answered the call. "Aunt May? What's the mat--"

"Peter! Are you still with Lexi? Are you still with her?" She asked, clearly terrified. Peter was scared as well. "Yeah.. yeah, of course... what's the matter, Aunt May?" he asked her. "A man... A man is at your high school... he looks so evil, Peter! He's.. He's demanding Spider-Man and Lexi Rogers to show up at the gym! he says that if he doesn't show, he'll kill everyone in there... Peter, they have her parents...."

Peter put his call on speaker when she said "Spider-Man" and looked up with fear at Lexi. "Alright, Alright... Aunt May, listen, I'll stay with Lexi. Once she's safe I'll pick you up alright? and we'll go home and-and just pray, Spider-Man helps them, alright? I'll call you back!" He hung up, looking at Lexi. "Look, Uncle Ben's old study room is the safest... If-If you can just s-stay there while i go get Aunt May..." he trailed off, completely full of fear. This was the one thing he never wanted to happen... Having the lives of his loved ones in danger... God he was an idiot! He should have just told her so she didn't have to kiss Spider-Man but Peter! at home!

He ran upstairs to get his backpack, ripping off his tie and jacket as he ran back downstairs. He saw that she was watching the news now, shocked in horror. "Look, dont do anything stupid, alright? I'll be back with Aunt May in a bit...." He said to her. "Lock the doors!" He called out as he opened the front doors and ran for the nearest alley way.

The kiss was exhilarating, something she had never expected from Peter Parker but here they we're and as his tongue slid into her mouth she followed suite, wrestling hers with his. Oh this was so good, why hadn't this happened before?! Did they really have to wait this long!? When he pulled back, she gave a small look of disappointment, obviously not wanting him to stop. Her breathing wave heavy, much like his as they stared at each other. When he started to speak, a smile curled across her lips, was he going to tell her that he had feelings for her; because that part was obvious. But in the moment, for her to hear something like that would just be perfect.

It wasn't until his phone started to buzz, which is an awkward feeling for a girl because in a moment like this the vibration feels weird, she tilted her head to one side curious as to what he was going to say. As every girl would hope in this situation, she wanted it to be a quick call from Aunt May checking up on them just to make sure they were alright, but her expression faded and her face turned instantly pale when Aunt May was put onto speaker phone and she heard what was being said. "What?!" She said in horror as Peter climbed off of her talking to Aunt May.

As he ran upstairs she turned the TV to the local news to see they were standing outside. The woman on the TV was explaining who Lexi was and her parents before she went into detail about who was holding people hostage. The description painted a horrible picture in her mind but none so horrible then when they showed a photo. "No one knows what this man wants with both Lexi Rogers and Spider-Man, but one thing is certain. People will die if he's not stopped."

Her hand was over her mouth when Peter came back down the stairs. Her eyes were wide in shock and starting to water. The news that the man had her parents started to come up, apparently the psychopath carried them in by their coats, not caring if there was a possibility that he might drop them before he disappeared into the building. Fear-filled gaze moved to Peter as he told her not to do anything stupid and disappeared out the door. It may be stupid but it was still the right thing to do.

As soon as Peter was gone, she jumped up grabbing her keys and slipping on her shoes before running out the door. The jeep was fast but she wished she could have gotten there fast. It flew through the city, Lexi taking every back road she knew to avoid the police block offs and news crew. They'd want to talk to her about the situation and right now was not the time. Parking a few blocks away from the school she climbed out and hid her purse and keys in a nearby garbage can and took off down the street.

Apparently the police and news teams were only taking up the front of the school, since the gym was located in the back, she snuck around the alley way area and peeked around the corner, the doors to the gym were wide open, welcoming Lexi and Spider-Man to their end. A shiver moved down her spine, if this creep didn’t kill her and she somehow made it out alive, Peter was going to kill her for not listening to him. His words echoed in her mind ‘don’t do anything stupid’, this was stupid, but it also was the right thing to do. She’d just tell him that she did what she knew was right and if it meant saving lives; that’s what she had to do.

Taking in a deep breathe she walked towards the open doors and stepped inside, everyone was curled in a corner far away from the entrance door; her friends and fellow classmates were covered in dust and the whole place looked ransacked. Her parents lay in the middle of the gym, both faces up and straight bodied next to one another. Looking around, she didn’t see any creeper like she saw on the news and did what any person would do in this situation; she ran to her parents. “Mom… Dad…” she said softly as she attempted to wake them up by giving them a small shake. “Don’t worry; I’m going to get you out of here…” Little did she know, someone was approaching her from behind…
