Sasha smiled, pleased with herself, and she said lightening, but had trouble spelling it. She hesitated over it, saying "L-i-g-t-n-i-n-g" That was not right at all, she thought, biting her lip and frowning. "I think somethings wrong there" She said with a soft sigh, trying to write it out, but even that looked wrong.

"Its so hard" She said warily. "Is it this hard for kids?" She asked

its hard for anyone learning how to read don't stress yourself. we can do this regularly and you can get better more and more I promise" Angelo said softly giving her a warm smile letting her know that I would be here when she needed me. I wanted to be that guy that people could turn to for trouble and guidance when things got tough. "now repeat it again but this time slower and spell out the parts to yourself. light-n-ing okay, spell out the parts first then the whole word" he said softly smiling at her patting her back encouragingly

She looked to Angelo, to see if that was right as she put the pencil down. She was clearly looking for approval, as she waited.

At lot of Sasha's problem was the silent letters, it confused her.

Angelo looked at the writing and spelled it out in his own head before nodding "perfect, see I told you that you can do this. you want to try a more difficult one or should we just try another one like lightning again?" Angelo asked not wanting to make her feel upset if I pushed her to far to fast since teaching wasn't really his forte he wanted to make sure she didn't see him as a slave driver but as a positive leader to help her.

Sasha shook her head, "No, I want to go on a job. Do you want to do this one with me?" She asked, taking out the job she had taken, 'Valford's Plea'. She held it out so he could read it. "C-can..can you read it for me? What I read sounded interesting and easy, but 90,000 reward? Seems a bit much for simply stopping a noise" She said, shifting to turn towards him, finishing off her drink which had been sitting there for a while.

She gave him a smile, knowing that she would need help with the quest anyway. A lot of the time, she could get by, but with her ice make magic, she had to be very creative. Another reason why she wanted to read more.

Amelia listened to Elliots assessment of her ankle.
"It's okay, it's not like you meant to hurt me." she said before he brought up his plan to get her out of the pit. She nodded and slowly got up, using the wall of the pit as support and avoiding putting her weight on her injured foot. She wasn't as confident as he was about the plan so she thought of something uncase she couldn't make it out for some reason." Alright then. Do you think I should call out Shin or Atticus to help?"

Angelo walked next to her making sure to keep up as he made a whistle and his crow came down on his extended shoulder as he gave the crow some bread to eat as he followed sasha. It would be nice to have a partner with an element that could compliment his own

At the mere utterance of the names of those who Elliott will not imagine, the well dressed boy cringed. "Uhhhh, yeah" he began saying, trying to not sound too terrified by the concept. "They may be a bit more ........ able for this I suppose." He slowly backed up a little. "Just ahhhh, let me get out of here first....." He paused here but quickly added "So I can help you up from the top."

Amelia couldn't help but look a little disheartened at Elliot's reaction but at the same time she couldn't blame him. Atticus and Shin had gone a bit far this time and she had no doubt Elliot would avoid her from this point on to avoid meeting either of them again. She gave him a minute to get out before summoning Shin, who gently lifted her to the edge of the pit. She managed to get out of it with her strength and dismissed Shin afterwards, the skeleton bowing to her as it vanished. Now there was no way she could walk to the guild with her injured foot. She couldn't even get on her own two feet on her own, so she turned to Elliot for help.

Minah strode toward the guildhall with a bored look on her face. She had finished a job dealing with some bandits who had been terrorizing travelers hoping to get in a good fight, but sadly they were just weaklings who pretended to be tough. A smile creeped up onto her face as she recalled the looks of terror they had when she crushed their leader, but it was quickly replaced with a look of curiosity as she came upon a pit in the road next to a tree. Seeing Elliot struggling to climb up out of the pit she grinned before planting her shoe on Elliot’s face. “Hi Elliot.” She said before pushing him back into the pit, “Bye Elliot.”

“All in a days work” She thought as she walked around the pit and continued on her way to the guildhall. “Maybe Sidious is in the guildhall, he’s always fun to mess with. Hopefully she can get a good fight going.” Arriving at the guildhall she burst in shouting loudly, “I’m back!”

Elliott struggled a bit getting out of the pit and just as he was coming over the top he looked up just in time to see a dirty shoe planted on his face pushing him back down the pit. He spat a bit at the bottom but didnt deem his assailant with a reply other than a frown, it would just encourage her he thought. He tried again to get out of the pit after wiping his face off and this time managed to pull himself up and over the top with no boot in his face. He turned around to help Amelia up but she was already there.... with a skeleton staring at him from the bottom of the pit..... needless to say he jumped an impressive height into the air. Today was going wonderfully for Elliott and it was still morning. Amelia obviously couldnt move too much herself so even though he wanted to just sit an catch his breath for a moment he picked up the small girl. She wasnt very heavy and Elliott had little trouble carrying her towards the guild. "when we get there Ill go get Rana." He said.

To the west of Valford lay a burial crypt which had remained untouched for years. Even now, villagers scarcely enter it's vicinity unless they wished to pay their respects to their ancestors of old.

The crypt stretched deep underground, linear in it's architecture, where you would only need to travel through several rooms to reach the end. The torches which lined the halls were no longer lit, save for a few rooms which were...inhabited. The deeper rooms in the burial crypt were home to many animated, moving skeletons which wandered aimlessly, occasionally banging their weapons against the walls which echoed throughout the nameless crypt. In the deepest room sat Aedius Darkwater, the exile. Atop a 'throne' (pile) formed entirely of bones, he had made a temporary home out of the crypt, without the citizens of Valford being aware of this. He had been there for a while, and had managed to survive by leaving the crypt nightly, and stealing any supplies he could on his own, without the assistance of his minions; lest he bring upon himself the threat of the Magic Council.

He was content in his ways for now, and planned to move on from his new living-space in time. But until then, he desired more defences - namely beside him. Aedius reluctantly stood up, aware that the spell he was about to cast would take time. He began to recite an incantation from memory, but stopped midway, under the realisation that he did not recall all of the words to his spell. He turned to his right, and picked up a book which he had acquired from Darkwater's library shortly before his exile. He would proceed to flick through the pages until he found his desired spell.

He sighed to himself.

Just as we suspected it's to check out a noise although I don't think you read the part about it being next to the estate was an actual crypt. " Angelo said knowing that where they're was noise in a crypt it would probably mean skeletons. It's obvious really and that makes sense for such a high jewel rate on it. They wouldn't pay do much if it wasn't already scary to go in the first place. At least Angelo knew that sashas ice make magic would do well against them so he wasn't to worried

Amelia let out a surprised gasp when Elliot picked her up. Her face turned a nice shade of bright red and she made it a point not to look at Elliot as he carried her to the guild. It took her a few seconds to calm down and feel comfortable enough to talk again.
"Elliot... I really am sorry about Atticus and Shin." she said" I don't think they would've actually hurt you without my permission. If they had really wanted to they would've done so before I even noticed... If you don't want to carry me you don't have to, I'll make it to the guild on my own somehow. I won't blame you if you do. No one wants to stay near me when they find out about my magic and what I can do."

Elliott smiled as he listened to Amelia. She was a cute girl. "Hey, dont worry about it too much. Sure it was probably one of the most terrifying experiences Ive had but I understand they were just protecting you. And beside, we are both part of the Phoenix Wing family are we not? You have to accept both the good and the bad when it comes to family." Elliott said all this almost without thinking, to him it was one of the most natural feelings in the world. Before Amelia had time to reply they had reached the guild and Elliott pushed through the doors. He walked Amelia over to one of the benches at the side of the hall and set her down gently. "Hey Rana!" He called "Could you come assist us for a moment please?"
With a sigh Rana got up and walked over. She was a little younger than Elliott and had very long Brown hair styled in a large braid. "What did you do now Elliott?" She asked, clearly annoyed.
"Well, uhhh..... one of my little jokes turned out a little wrong." he said motioning to Amelia's ankle.
Rana stared at him for a moment with disappointment on her face.
"Get out of here" Elliott laughed nervously and said "yeah, i should uhh go clean up the hole before anyone else fall in it." before leaving.
"Sorry about him, he can be a handful. So what's wrong with your ankle?" Rana asked looking at it carefully. "And you look rather red, do you have a fever?"

"Family huh?" Amelia said, quickly becoming lost in thought. She had a hard time understanding the concept. After all her parents had dumped in the woods at a very odd age, leaving her to survive on her own. If it hadn't been for Atticus and Shin, she would've died before even a week had passed. She had been stuck in the woods for years when Ellis found her and it had taken Ellis over a month to get Amelia to leave the place, and even then it was only after finding a way that Amelia wouldn't be separated from Atticus and Shin. Ellis then proceeded to be her only family for a while before vanishing and leaving Amelia in the guild's hands. Needless to say she didn't have a very good concept or view of family.

She was so lost in thought she didn't realize Elliott had set her down and that Rana was talking to her. When she finally did register it all it took her a second to answer.
"I don't know what's wrong with it. Elliott said it might be sprained and I don't think I have a fever." she said

Rana Took a look at Amelia's ankle and shook her head. " It looks like it is just sprained. Unfortunately, that means my magic cant do much for you but ill do what I can." She said shaking her head. She held both her hands over the the ankle and a faint light began building around it. "So what did he do this time?" She asked Amelia. "I dont normally have to get involved."
