"Double Team!" Titania made several copies, but Sylveon managed to deliver a critically-hitting kiss on the real Gardevoir that caused the latter to faint. "Titania, return; Tetsu, I choose you!" Shiranui sent his Aggron out.

"Sylveon, Shadow ball!" Liam ordered.

"Tetsu, Heavy Slam!" The Shadow Ball attack connected as Tetsu charged at Sylveon and jumped into the air for a body slam that would only be marginally weaker than a Hyper Beam due to the weight difference.

'Look out!" Liam called. Sylveon jumped to the side. "Now, Attract!" Liam called. "Attract!" Sylveon winked at the giant iron pokemon and sent hearts flying at him.

Tetsu couldn't help but fall in love with Sylveon. "Tetsu, Roar!" The Aggron fought his attraction and let out a mighty roar, intending to force a switch-out.

The force switch undid the attraction. Hydro the Blastoise emerged.

"Water Gun!" Liam ordered.

"Tetsu, return; Sapphire, I choose you!" Shiranui switched his Aggron out and sent in his Sableye, which took the hit.

Liam recalled Hydro and sent Sylveon back out. The MC reminded everyone that since both sides have lost two Pokemon, after the next ones falls, there were be a brief intermission.

"Sapphire, Toxic!" The Sableye put her Prankster ability to work and spat a gout of poison at Sylveon.

Sylveon was badly poisoned by the sneaky move. Sylveon then attempted to wrap her ribbons around Sapphire's head and use Draining Kiss.

Sylveon's move connected for a super effective hit before feeling the effect of the poison. "Sapphire, Poison Jab!" The Sableye's hand glowed a putrid pink colour before throwing a jab at Sylveon.

Sylveon was hit by the poison move. The Poison then zapped some health away.

"Moonblast now!" Liam called.

Shiranui saw the beam of moonlight head towards Sapphire. "Dodge it!" he called, but it was to no avail as Sapphire got blasted into a knockout. An intermission was called.

Liam praised Sylveon and recalled her. He walked over to the sidelines and acquired a bottle of water. He looked at scoreboard. While he knew which Pokemon would fill his final two slots, he wondered which two Shiranui still had in reserve. Florence came up and hugged Liam. Liam's father arrived shortly after her.
"You are doing a good job son. We are very proud of you. Your mom was thrilled when she heard you made it to the final." Liam's father looked over at Shiranui and praised him for the accomplishment as well.

Liam's father inquired about where they would go next. Liam said that he would like to go through Johto next.

At that point, Shiranui's parents were congratulating him for making the final as well. "Expect to see me back home in due course," stated Shiranui. His folks knew why as the town they were from had a gym.
