Cronic just sighed as he picked up his Evoker and pocketing it, not saying a word.

"Just drag us right into this mess, why don't you... It's not like we don't have lives of our own that we need to live. Hell, I'd sooner prefer to wake up in my hotel room than get killed in some fantasy dream world right now. Throwing my life away has NEVER been high on my to-do list." Cronic thought to himself, as he began to run after the rabbit, doing what he can to avoid dropping the person on his shoulder."

"This is a situation of life and death for crying out loud. You go in half-assed and you're going home in a box."

Evette caught the pocket watch in one hand and without comment fixed the chain around her wrist like a bracelet. She really hated gold jewelry, and silver was prettier. Everyone else seemed to be in a rush to follow the rabbit, but Evette wanted to see what it was that was so dangerous. Her mind involuntarily ran through all of the things she feared most. So much ammunition for her mind to use. No, maybe she didn't want to know after all. Fist clenched around her gift of gold, Evette turned and walked after the rabbit. If the nightmare wanted her back so much, it could come and get her. Her walk turned into a jog.

Catching the golden watch, Connor took a quick glance at it, then placed it into his pocket. If it was special, he wouldn't understand it yet, and sometimes, when someone gives you a tip, or a clue, you don't ask questions, you just proceed forward, this was his logic behind it. "Thanks rabbit," He then looked back at Adam who tossed it to him, giving him a nod, "Thanks." With watch in his pocket and the rabbit running off. What was it that they had to do next? "Well, if we are here to change something, lets get to it then." He barely finished speaking before noticing that the lady from earlier was off chasing after the rabbit. "Well, if going from the book makes any difference, then we are to follow the rabbit?"

Adam looked towards Alice, the woman, actually it seemed everyone at this point began to head after him, if not to run from whatever the rabbit fears, then to find out what these watches are exactly directly from the running rabbit. He listened to Connor as he apparently deduces the situation.

"It looks that way. The actual novel aside, if the Rabbit is taking us hopefully to safety, or to a better place to explain himself, at least, then it's probably best we follow." Adam said as he ran off with the others, hopefully expecting Connor to follow as well.

"So where are we going?" Alice asked to the rabbit in the front, hopping through the forest with incredible speeds for such a small creature.

"...To the Bastion, I believe mentioned before, in which none of the queen's forces would dare enter. Hopefully after explaining everything there, we can head straight towards the queen's castle." The Rabbit responded. Alice looked at him as he explained this, as if he said something odd. She read the original book years ago, and as she recalled, the Rabbit was the queen's servant, not a particularly important servant but one nonetheless. But going by what he said to the Cheshire Cat, this Rabbit actually seems hellbent on rebellion against this queen. Se knew how brutal this woman was in the books, but how bad is she that her own servant would risk his head to take her out?

"If this "Bastion" proves to be as safe as you claim, then we are probably going to be there a while, as I suspect collectively we've got just as many questions as I'm sure you've got answers." Cronic said as he caught up, now running alongside Alice, still carrying the unconscious person over his shoulder, but occasionally looking to the sides as he ran.

"Let's just hope we get there soon. Call me paranoid or suspicious, but I fear we're being watched." Cronic said, all the while, remaining completely unaware amidst the trees, a scarcely visible humanoid silhouette stood watching the humans run past with purple eyes, a devilish grin spreading across his face.

"...If only you knew, boy. If only you knew." The figure said to himself, as he began to pursue the band of humans while remaining out of sight.

The rabbit said that we're going on the Bastion.What is that? and is it safe there? The same question pops out on Kouichi's mind just like Cronic's.He really hoped that it is safe there.He then catches up with the rabbit and the girl "Alice" to the forest.As I was running through the forest trying to catch up with the two,something does not feel right.This is not an ordinary forest.The mushrooms are gigantic and the trees were skyscraper high.Is this some kind fairytale? I asked myself.I saw the two talking to each other while walking and it was a relief to see them.I thought I was lost.As I catched up on them I asked the rabbit a question.

"So about this Bastion,What are we gonna do there?" he asked
