Okay, so I think I got this.

Fairy tale story would be (in brief):
The curse of the beast actually get's transferred to her instead of her breaking the curse because her and the beast weren't actually "true lovers." The only way to actually break the curse is for her to find her true love. Anytime she smells/sees/comes into contact with a rose she enters some sort of feral, beast mode.

Modern day Belle would be (in brief):
A woman who loves to read and seeks out knowledge with an allergy to roses and very low self esteem. Afraid to be around others, scared that they might judge her just based on what she looks like.

Hey guys so glad to see that this got some more interest :) for the idea of tom thumb I love it, as far as how we are mixing the real world with the fantasy world is still open for discussion. in once upon a time jimminy cricket was an actual cricket in fairytale land but the curse the queen put on the land turned him (and any other non-human creatures) into humans in the real world. we can work with that...but I would like to discuss other options as well.

As for the idea of belle I freaking love it; however I am taking up red riding hood who is also the wolf (transforms at the full moon) and I fear that may be too similar, what do you other guys think? if no one else sees that as too similar then I am totally fine with it.

I was thinking of taking the character Rapunzel, she hasn't really been mentioned much before in the series. I was also thinking about Titania The Fairy Queen, The princess And The Pea, The Wolf of the Three little pigs with a twist, or Dorothy from the wizard of Oz.

All of those would be good choices. Also im not opposed to letting people double so long as they can prove they can handle it. Im doubling as Rumplestilskin for plots and twists purposes lol unless anyone else wants him (from once upon a time)

The Wolf Twist would be as such;

The wolf is actually a girl, in a werewolves coven like that of Ruby(Red Riding Hood in the series). They were frequently abused by the trolls(pigs) and eventually she was chosen to take them out, though this was a failure on her part. They had overpowered her and she was arrested by the Evil Queen(Regina if we're doing that). Eventually being rescued by the girl known only as Princess Leia!

Also I want to stay away from usinc original characters. The point of this rp is to take an existing character and twist it, make it your own (or use someone elses like one upon a times adaption). I would have no problem giving you Ruby; however. Im very flexible and would not mind changing at all!

I guess I'll choose the black rider 'Night', with mentions/side characters of the white rider and red rider here or there. His alternate is a police officer, the white rider is the early morning news anchor whose slogan is "The morning doesn't start without my ''Good Morning'.", and red rider is a race car driver...? Also, all three are sons acquaintances (sons are a bit weird) of Baba Yaga, and are representative of the 'Day' 'Sun' and 'Night' cycle.

Also...just learned, one of the earliest stories of Little Red Riding hood involved the wolf originally being a shapeshifter/werewolf, who tricked the girl into eating pieces and drinking the blood of her murdered grandmother.

I would say Dr. Jekyll would go there in order to find a way to get rid of Hyde. If they couldn't find a way...well, then at least they would be away from the people Dr. Jekyll cares about. Hyde wouldn't be able to kill them if they're in the fairy tale world.

There isn't much to say about the trio, except that they're the 'Day' 'Sun' and 'Night' personified as three riders (possibly arrant knights). They were just background characters, so they were never fleshed out. Should I tie them to other fairytale?

I didn't! Sure, I knew about Sleeping Beauty being finger popped by her (sometimes) father-husband, then waking up to find that she had twins with him after a year under the spell, but not the cannibalism of Red Riding hood!
