Kami smiled, as he looked around. He'd finished saving people. and although their compliments had delayed him, he was ready to hunt down the villain. However, he wouldn't be able to do so through sight. Smiling, Kami remembered something he'd wanted to try out for a while now. He reached out, as he sent out his electricity in a field, and he felt the electricity around him. He felt the electric energy in the power lines under the city, the electric energy in the machines that hadn't been destroyed. The electric charge in the sky, which would eventually grow to become a lightning storm. But he focussed on a smaller, more subtle electricity. The electric energy in people's bodies. He smiled, as he reached out his hands, counting the people. Perfect. Using a move like this, there was no doubt he'd find the villain. It was but a matter of time.
Lightning built around Kami as he searched. He drew from the power lines under the city, taking in large amounts of electricity, until he was able to feel every human being within a 1 kilometer radius, the air around him crackling with the energy he'd gathered. He smiled. Someone was helping the wounded. But they weren't touching the things they were moving. Bingo.
In a flash, Kami was there. It was more like teleportation than movement. A flash of lightning, and then he arrived. In front of the man he saught. Kami smiled, as he began drawing from the electric lines once more. The power went out in the area - not that anyone was using it in this disaster zone - as more and more of it gathered around Kami. he felt powerful, a rush of exhileration spurring his confidence to new heights. With this much electricity, he was like a God, he thought. It was certainly the most powerful he'd felt since first discovering his powers.
"You should have run away while you could." Said Kami with a smirk, as he held up a hand towards the villain. The lightning concentrated itself in his hand, occasional bolts of it hitting nearby pieces of metal, heating them to red-hot in an instant. Unknown to Kami, he did not have full power over the energy he'd gathered, his confidence and natural talent far exceeding his wisdom and skill. "Say, have you ever been hit by lightning where the sun don't shine?"
