[OOC] HCL: Rise of Daemon

This is an alternate timeline to the events in Hell's Coffee Lounge. However, just because this thread is based on another roleplay doesn't mean new people aren't welcome to jump in and have fun! This roleplay is wacky fun with the occasional bout of drama and action, in a massive storyline with enough twists and turns to make Snake Way look like an easy drive. People from the original roleplay can probably skip reading this next part.

You'd think there'd be a CS for this, wouldn't you? However, this rp is so freeform, it doesn't need one. Instead, feel free to play any character, self-made or from any franchise, and just throw them into the world for lols. I, as the GM, will find a way to involve them in the storyline, and you're set! No CS, no acceptance, no post limit, no pesky rules to tie you down, just straight-out fun!

Now, despite my little speech above, this roleplay has exactly 3 rules that you need to abide by:
- My Word is Law
- Try to ensure EVERYONE has fun, not just you.
- No rape unless it's funny. (Seriously, no rape)

Warning: This rp can get pretty gory at times. Certain characters will screw your character up, replace their limbs with forks and make em hop. Play smart and friendly, and you'll be fine, but if you can't get over your character getting beaten up occasionally or a bit of blood & gore, please reconsider joining. I'd love to have you, but I'm not so sure you'd have fun, and that IS the main goal of the rp.

Stein is traditionally the Big Bad in HCL. Other evil characters have come and gone, such as Darkside, the Primal Cucumber, God-Matt, the Dragon Emperor, the Daemon, Mia, etc. But Stein was the first evildoer so Big and so Bad that he f*cked up everyone else's characters to such a point that everyone had to gang up on him. He was the kind of character that made you pick which characters you didn't like much and put them on the front line. He is THE Big Bad, now and forever, sheerly because no other villain has reached that level of fear not for the character, but for the player. As a vow, when playing Stein, I never back down from permanently and perhaps lethally maiming any characters that dare refuse to flee immediately.

Heya wizard, been awhile I guess. ^^

So I decided that Kaika would make an appearance here, since she's recently died off in Crossover Creek. Though, with the whole "fracturing a bit of her soul" thing before she actually died, Kaika is somewhat affected by amnesia, her powers are somewhat corrupted (unstable pretty much), and she obviously can die repeatedly but not permanently since she's already died (and that her soul is incomplete to die a second time).

Hey Gummi! Yeah, sorry for not posting on Crossover Creek anymore, but I went on holiday for a week or so, and then when I came back, I realized it just wasn't worth reading through five books worth of text to be able to post there again ^^
In any case, I'm going to warn you on the whole immortality thing, which is that there's an unspoken rule in HCL that true immortality is impossible. Lots of players in the early stages of HCL created immortal characters that could never be killed off, which is when I introduced Stein, who can kill off most 'immortal' beings by ripping their very essence into tiny shreds and lobotomize the remains. While it's not an absolute rule, all people will have special weapons to take down immortal characters, and no matter what trapping you give your immortality, someone's going to counter it.

To give a quick example, you stated that Fate had determined the point of Kaika's death, and she could not die until then. Now, Hope, a character you met, was created with the ability to rewrite the core rules of the universe to remove such bonds. Some beings are immortal because they are deemed necessary by one of the universe's core forces, and Hope exists to kill such beings by removing their immortal status.

That's something to hear, but since Kaika's really died once, it shouldn't be that hard to "kill" her than before, ironically, this is someone that's supposedly dead in most worlds excluding the ones here.

Kami, deamon born, whos attacks seem to revolve around lighting and manipulating synapse of the minds of those he gets near. That in itself is why bug is adapt at fighting him,

Was it the deamon within the planet being released, or am I forgetting some thing more pin point?

Kami is pretty much indestructible. Bug has full control over insects, and I forgot under what bullshit your centipedes mastered an advanced Yokai manipulation technique, despite being centipedes, but even then he lacks soular attacks. He has no abilities capable of actually hurting Kami, like how Nathan didn't.
