Mathew, as this massive conflict takes place, simply realizes that the being of immense power and unknown origin had been distracted. Bringing his ship around, he seemed to level his cannons at the enemy ship hurtling towards him. Despite Babylon's superior size, if the two ships were to collide at such a speed it would be catastrophic, and yet Mathew knew very well that he would have no chance to level the ship before impact occurred. His projectiles would move too fast, slicing through the hull with too little material impact, to actually exert any real force over the movement of the ship. Then there was the issue of the drones already within the ship, if he were indeed to destroy the ship or dodge it, the drones would be lost, diminishing his overall combat force. However, manipulating the probabilities was his job, and achieving the impossible his primary trick, so this shouldn't be a problem.
As Mathew charged the quantum engines, he, still connected to the ship, `disconnected the Drone Hangars from the Firing Bay. Instead of connecting an alternate projectile, however, he sent his will through the ship. Modifications were rapidly made as repair drones connected and reconnected large cables, rapid advance spurred on by necessity and flashes of genius. As the massive enemy warship hurtled towards Babylon, every cannon fired simultaneously, timing perfected through a single will, and yet instead of firing a projectile, it projected it's force outwards. The false mass generated a powerful gravity field, functioning as a quantum railgun, albeit far more powerful than the electromagnetic fields projected by a railgun. However, by projecting this field forwards, the same amount of force was applied not in a burst, but in a large area of effect, pushing away anything that would enter within certain parameters. The Quantum Shield had been developed.
It seemed like the orange-colored light burst from the cannons, even as the ship collided with some invisible force. Babylon's massive engines worked to keep in balance as two great forces met one another, Mathew in the background monitoring and administering the cooling systems and energy output of each of the Babylon's systems, his calculations allowing him to predict failures almost before they happen, and take appropriate measures. With a great creaking effort, the entire ship slowly seems to float to a halt in front of Babylon, even as Mathew removes the Quantum Nullification Field from the assassin that had dared make an attempt on his life. Hovering in space were two ships, one of which was already being cut off from the Clone Emperor's control network by the drones.
Turning towards his unwanted and unwilling guest, the God Emperor glared with cold disapproval. The two Guardian Drones stood next to him, ready to intervene should the man make any further attempt at hostility, as the Portal Matrix stood ready to intervene as well. Should it become necessary, the Portal Matrix was capable of nearly instantly transporting Mathew's entire army onto the enemy's head, quite literally, and within this ship an attempt against Mathew was nothing but foolish tomfoolery. "You're here with hostile intentions, and you're obviously in a dangerous position. Unless you have some weapon or trick that could save your ass right now, before I have it cut to pieces and fed to your family, you'd better start listing reasons I should leave you alive."
