Can I play two characters? I had an idea for a single father who works at the school and raises his daughter there. Here are the two characters.
Name: Dr. Mark Quinn
AKA: Quantum
Age: 28
Appearance: a bit stocky, 5'8", brown hair, blue eyes
Bio: At the age of ten he found that he could see past the surface of things, like in his mind it was under a magnifying glass, even if his eyes showed him things the way most people saw them. His father wasn't around anymore, and he pretty much had to take care of himself, as his mom worked two jobs. He spent his nights looking at things, first large insects, then smaller insects, then pebbles, and then even smaller things, like cells in a flower. Eventually he found that if he looked at a small enough object, he could move it. He learned to give it energy, which heated it up, to take energy from it, which cooled it, and even to split chemicals, like water.
In high school, he learned another use for his abilities. The human brain is quite susceptible to small changes at certain points. If he properly moves neurotransmitters around, he can cause them to become tired, or irritated, angry, depressed, aroused, or even go insane.
While in college (he attended on a scholarship he got via blackmail) he started reading the works of Dr. Hank McCoy, and became fascinated by them. Here was a mutant, who by all accounts was a genius, and who was known and accepted by humans, something Mark had always been afraid of, not being accepted. After graduation he got a job working as a geneticist, and got married to a human. Because of the events surrounding his daughter's birth, however, he was forced to reveal that he was a mutant, and his wife left him with his new-born daughter.
When he was fired from his job (he could never prove it was because he was a mutant), he applied for a job at the school, knowing that at least there they could be accepted.
Status: Faculty (physics, chemistry)
Years attended: Seven
Family/loved ones: Camilla Quinn (Daughter)
Personality: A geek, he's been known to argue the finer points of Star Trek plots with like-minded people. He has a massive soft spot for his daughter, as he has had to raise her from birth.
Powers/Abilities: Microscopic sight (Eyes can pick up insanely minute details, like a microscope, by "zooming in". max: unobstructed by non-transparent materials, he can see a DNA strand. Anything smaller is just patterns. Distance also negatively affects the level of detail), microtelekinesis (max 10-15 grams with enough concentration. Skilled enough to grab a single cell without effecting its neighbors), heating/splitting chemicals (focus kinetic energy on a chemical (like electrolysis with electricity), more focus is more efficient, but it always heats up due to inefficiency. Impurities may cause unintended byproducts.)
Other:
Name: Camilla Quinn
AKA: Cameleon
Age: 6 years, 11 months
Appearance: like a skinny 6 year old girl. long brown hair, blue eyes. Likes to wear light, natural color and material clothes and sandals.
Bio: Eleven hours after she was born, her mom looked down while holding her to see blankets. She had blended in with the blankets so well it was hard to tell that she was there. Her mom freaked out about it, forcing her dad to reveal that he was a mutant. Because of her powers, they named her Camilla, and when they got home, her mom packed her bags and left, not even telling her dad she was leaving or where she was until she sent the divorce papers to him.
She was just over a month old when she arrived at Professor Xavier's school, and has lived there since.
Status: Student
Years attended: Student (2), resident (6)
Family/loved ones: Mark Quinn (father)
Personality: A curious child, she likes to hide and spy on people, a habit her father has been trying to break her of.
Powers/Abilities: Cameleon (blends in with the background, though it may take her several seconds, depending on the complexity of the background, to blend in completely. This means that it works best if she stays still. Her power extends to any natural materials she's wearing, though the more she has to disguise, the faster it wears her out.
