"I understand your words. I should be able to understand your stories. I will ask questions if I don't understand something." Zack told her. He did not understand how one small circle can hold a whole story. He was eager to see how it worked.
She watched Howl's Moving Castle with him since it was one of the more simpler DVD's and asked him to move over a little so she could get on the bed as well. If he asked any questions she explained them while pausing the film so they wouldn't miss any of it.
Zack asked a few questions through the movie. Most of his questions were about behavior. He did not understand how humans interacted. He enjoyed that she sat and what her the movie with him. "I think I like your circle stories."
"They're called DVD's not circle stories" she said to him "and I'm glad you enjoyed it" she smiled at him "Well you can always watch another one if you want, they're all quite different that film uses what we call Animation, there are different types of that, the one we just watched uses Japanese animation called anime" she explained and showed him the other two "this one uses real people, called actors and actresses to perform the story" she said.
"Anime shows people who are not real? Does that mean humans do not behave the same way animes do?" Zack asked. "What about there's other types are they good ways to learn about your kind?"
"There are documentaries for example" she said to him "and they're not real but some ways in which the interact, the basic ways are real such as the end, that's something couples do often to show they love each other. " she explained and switched over to a documentary "Ah, here we are nature documentary "This should be good"
"These are creatures share your world?" Zack asked. "Are the eatable? What about the planets? Why is this area so different from the one they are showing?" He asked many more questions about various things. He rarely gave her time to answer one question before he asked another.
"Yeah, they are" she said to him and smiled "Some are and some aren't we do have a few that we eat on a daily basis such as cows which we also get milk from and chickens which we can get eggs from too" she said to him and smiled as she tried toe plain as much as possible "and that planet they're currently showing isn't possible to live on due to atmosphere" she said to him and explained about many other animals that were shown on the documentary in simpler terms so he'd understand. "Once you can move around on you're own I'll show you a few places such as where we get food and clothes and also on the walks around here where there are plenty of wild animals and insects"
Zack was pleased to hear her making plans for the future. It told him that she wasn't in a rush to push him out of her life. He just had to relex and enjoy her. There was no hurry. They had plenty of time. "That sounds wonderful. Thank you for helping me."
"Anyway focus on getting better, I'll try and help you out when I can since my holidays are coming soon so I can at least teach you some basic things over that period of time, well hopefully and you'll learn more by doing rather than reading it in books" she smiled at him.
"I will follow this advice." Zack told her. "What are holidays?" There were so many thing he didn't understand. Her world seemed to be a huge complicated place. He had never seen so many different types of terrain on one planet. There were so many different sections in her world. Each section had different rules. It was very confusing.
"Holidays are days in which people don't have work or school and can stay at home, go out basically do whatever they want" she said to him "They also allow the body and mind to relax since school and work can be quite stressful to come people.
"Stressful is bad?" Zack asked. "Why do these stressful things if they are harmful?" He liked the sound of holidays. He thought having such days was a good thing. If he could find a way to communicate with the other warriors from his planet he would have many things to tell them.
"Well it's more like we need to do such things since there are jobs that need to be done and we need to learn so we can do these jobs to keep the place going" she said trying to explain as best she could. "Mine start tomorrow luckily so i should be able to help you out with learning about this place."
"What kind of job do you do?"Zack asked. His people had jobs. But they were usually jobs suited to the individual so that everyone enjoyed their work most days. They rarely had bad days. The only stress was the lack of mates. Many makes had killed each other over the years trying to claim the few females left.
"I'm currently a student" she said to him "hence why I have a long holiday starting up soon before my last year at the college, I'm doing computers at the moment, the art is just a hobby, keeps me calm" she explained to him. "That's something else you can try if you like" she said to him smiling a little.
"Which one should I try?" Zack asked uncertainly. "I already feel like a student. I am learning so many new things. What exactly are computers? What do they do? Is that what I should try? What is art? We have hobbies on my planet. I am a sculptor. I find it very relaxing." Zack missed his sculpting. He had not been able to do for month. Space travel didn't allow for a lot of space.
"Well sculpting goes under art here on earth, as does painting and basically creating something out of materials can be considered art." she said to him "and I can show you how to use computers although I'm sure you'll pick it up fairly quickly with the technology on your ship" she said
"Aww I see. A computer is a digital device. I am sure that I will be able to figure that out quickly then." zack smiled. "I am glad to learn that we have art in common. I will have to see what supplies are available. I will make you a sculpture." he declared.
Keita nodded "I see, well once you're better then yes, I have some sculpting supplies in the garage you can use, I don't usually sculpt but did for a short time in the past" she said thinking for a moment "I usually paint or use chalk and charcoal.
