[IC] Invocation of the Divoria: The unfurling wings of Ondulish

Tanya ignored the man in the flying squid whatever, looking instead at the giant spider made out of robot angels.
"M23!"
"YES."
"M23, look at that. The spider thing."
"SPIDER THING CURRENTLY WITHIN M23'S FIELD OF VIEW."
"M23 that is sweet as hell and I want one."
"SHOULD M23 TAKE NOTE OF THIS."
"Nah, I just wanted to tell someone. Go kill those things."
"UNDERSTOOD."
M-23 took position, dropped into a ready stance- and made an odd hissing noise. (2)
"Oh, right, I wasn't expecting you to fight again so soon so I kinda sorta jerry-rigged your coolant systems. You might find yourself moving a little sluggish."
"M23 WAS NOT AWARE OF THIS."
"Aw, suck it up, ya big baby. You'll do fine."

The armor stepped out of the way. The force of the attack's impact knocked Freya down, but her armor puppet managed to save her from harm. As she turned to see what enemies were close by, the angel statues began to crowd together into a giant...spider. Interesting ability of theirs. Normally Freya would run away, because combating a giant creature such as this with just her knife and puppet was ludicrous, but there were several others who had fought in this battle as well, among them the one Freya believed would truly grow into a powerful user of magic, Defendia.

Freya manipulated her puppet into a stance once more.

Jack pulled his trench spike from the stony angel's eye, trying hard to pry the shiny thing off on the way, when the new threat emerged, a gigantic stone spider escorted by five more angels. But it was a bit beyond him at this point, he was still hung up on the banter between the man and the priestess. Artifacts, sacred catacombs, all that could only mean one thing: untold riches were hiding underneath the church. He might still get something out of this. The thought was a somewhat distracting, making his reaction a bit sluggish.

"...what" Wrasslin collapsed onto the floor in a beautiful centerfold position. He could feel the strength painfully being sapped from his body. All the hard work of his mentor seemed to have been going away, as if his years of training were all moot. No. His mentor taught him better. Wrasslin struggled under the new weight of his body from his lost strength, rolling over then picking himself back up, dusting off his body.

The elf coughed, weakly pointing at the new enemy as he escaped. "You're not getting away!" Wrasslin flexed his quads then sprinted toward the boss.

[Rancealot]

Defendia aimed her hands towards one of the statues. "Gotta start off with the appetizers before going to the main course after all." she said As she shot a shield at one of the stone statues.

The statue merely dodge the shield being blasted at it.

Jack took one look at the approaching mechanical spider, made up of a massive swarm of the things him and the others had been been fighting, and only a single word escaped his lips "Nope". Nope, no way he was gonna try and fight that thing head on. That was stupid and anyone who went for it was stupid as well. He was gonna do the smart thing and go hide, then he was gonna hit it hard later, unseen and in a soft spot for extra nastiness. Then again, there weren't any crowds to blend into, most buildings and hiding spots were demolished and the spider had a bird's eye view of the place. Maybe he should've tried attacking it in the first place.

There's a distinct 'click' sound coming from somewhere off to the side. And then a brilliant cross of white energy erupts from the ground, engulfing three of the stone angels in holy power. "Grand Cross." Thyr calmly states from where he stands off to the side. He's wearing his plate armor, and currently holding the Holy Caster, which is pointed in the direction of the enemies he just blasted, smoke currently wafting from the barrel. While waiting for the smoke from the massive cross attack to dissipate, he takes the time to crack open his Holy Caster and place another grenade in it.

"Sorry I'm late to the party. Thyr Ashden, Paladin of the Radiant Aegis, at your service." He pauses to look up at the stone spider boss monster. "I might be wrong, but it looks like you guys could use a hand?" The paladin cracks a slight grin as he finishes reloading his weapon.

[Jerkchicken]

The massive stoney arachnid jsut shrugged off the pitifully weak knife attack. As it continued making its way to where its sensors indicated the catacombs below the city street. Tiny vibrations could be felt as each of its massive eight legs hit against the cobblestones. Defense

The angels were caught rather unaware by the sudden attack as the cruciform explosion managed to kill two via the explosion and leave the one in middle hurtling backwards and crumbled on the floor. Defense

The man tried his hand at at taking a stab at the giant spider bot and disappointingly failed to even give it a scratch. Apply sharp end to soft partsdefense

[Descartes]

Compensating for his lost gainz, the elf went straight for the boss in retaliation and revenge. "You're paying for that! With interest!" Wrasslin swore. He didn't care to take any sort of pose- he was too self-conscious that others would think less of him for the sudden drop of muscle. Still, he flexed, jumping towards the boss and attempting a strike with both his hands at the boss's neck.

[Professor_Wyvern]

Hiraku shook his head as he glanced back at the others. "Trying to take down the Boss when there are still employees on the field? You do not understand business." Hiraku smirked, and with the fire destroying the city, it glimmered in his bright shiny teeth, creating this strange effect. Hiraku rushed into the fray with the Angels, "BUT AS FOR ME! THIS..." Hiraku took his briefcase as he swung it around in a circle like a mad man, as he pulled out a few paperclips that were laying on the ground and tossed them at the Angels, "BUSINESS AS USUAL!"

[Jerkchicken]

The arachnid continued unhindered by the measly attacks by the elf and continued moving. It's glowing red eyes moved around in an almost janky manner. It then lifted its two front legs to reveal drills which were used to start break apart the streets. defense

Meanwhile the angels were completely hapless as they were unceremoniously destroyed before even getting a chance to attack. One by one they just fell to the ground in pieces from straight from the air.
getting rekt Each explosion causing the spider's eyes to dart back and forth at its compatriots demise. It then stopped and a strange whirring sound as its back popped out and exposed a tail. Which revealed it was no ordinary robot spider but a robotic scorpion! It also fired a much thicker laser beam at Hikaru almost in annoyance that its minions were gone. Pew pew

[Professor_Wyvern]

Hiraku saw the much thicker Lazer-beam as it was coming straight for him. Judging by the trajectory of the shot, it looked like it would hit. Hiraku closed his eyes for the impact, as suddenly the structure of a nearby building fell apart just as the beam was going to get him, instead hitting the rubble that fell, and destroying it as the shrapnel harmlessly passed. Hiraku opened his eyes as he smiled. That was lucky.

Freya gazed upon the enormity of the spider. It was crafted from multiple statues that were themselves interesting. Although she would not be able to take it with her, Freya imagined the lifeless, completely immobile body of the spider sitting in the middle of the city. She only imagine it without action, so she decided to see how it would truly look.

Freya relaxed her hand, momentarily cutting off connection between her and the armor puppet. As the armor fell and disassembled, Freya re-established her control, and flicked her wrist upward to launch the pieces of armor and the Greatsword into the air. As the pieces reached the peak of their ascent, The armor puppet was fully together again. It reversed its grip on the Greatsword, pointing the blade and it's tip downward toward the Spider. Freya yanked her arm downward, propelling the puppet in the same direction.

The puppet was merely too fast for the giant scorpion-spider monstrosity to quickly react as its blade managed to pierce through its well armored body as it scraped against one of the softer joint areas. A shower of sparks and glittery blue fluid rewarded Freya and the puppet's hit against it. It groaned in a low mechanical quaking sound. defense

M-23 vented steam as it propelled itself towards the giant enemy spider, leaping into the sky and aiming for the thing's thorax (8) like some sort of sapient cannonball.

Angered by missing her last shield shot, she summoned another shield and grabbed it with her hands. "Spider thing, YOU WILL GET HIT BY MY SHIELDS!" She said as she chucked the shield using her hands this time.

The mechanical statue spider scorpion hybrid was merely barely done from recovering from that attack when the robot slammed right into its center. Not only did that hit it for a fair amount of damage as the shell creaked and crack from such a slam. But managed to get hit in the face with a shield. Luckily the shield didn't manage to damage it as it harmlessly shattered from the impact. defense1 defense2

Well, hiding hadn't worked out, fleeing was out of the question, it was time to attack the giant spider. Dammit. If he was doing this, he was going to hit it hard, better not hold anything back from what he'd seen. Not up close though, that was still a stupid idea and he had no clue whether his ability to curse others with a strike from his knives would even affect a mechanical monstruosity like this one. So, there was only one option left. From seemingly out of nowhere, he produced two handfuls of throwing knives, tossing them up the air for no apparent reason. The smirk on his face, however, told another story. That spider had no idea what was coming. (performing a power move with the activation flaw)
