Dunno... What would she laugh at, though? The things Scalpel said? xP

And yeah, it is a myth, but all rumours/myths/thingies have a grain of truth in them :P Anywho! It's hard writing Amaretto as being gritty and angry again without insulting Scalpel (god knows he wants to throw a few curses in his face xD). I don't think it would go over very well, though.

Yeah I'll get something up, although him knowing about Scalpel's studies is probably sending small alarm bells tinkling in his head, but that's honestly the reaction everyone who has ever heard of him gets.

No matter how cautious he is, the name "Silver Scalpel" and "Trying to reawaken the dead" will inevitably come up in different places. He's used a lot of different names, yes, but he has used his own a few times (You said that yourself, I think), even if only in passing. Undoubtedly the Cult of Laughter will probably have had spies and such out looking for him as well... They could have spread such rumours as well... Anywho, I don't think Amaretto has said anything that would tell of knowledge he couldn't possibly possess, at least not yet.

Really enjoyed the Dok's welcome - so blunt and direct, I couldn't help but smile.

Speaking of direct, I'm surprised that Amaretto's entrance. For a hunter, I'd thought he take a more stealth approach.

I'm in America, though I don't think I mentioned it before.

Wasn't Dawnscroll in Australia?

Amaretto? A Hunter?

Theá is a hunter, Amaretto is a brute who uses raw power to force his way through obstacles. Yes, he has her blessing, but that's only because he has demonstrated his abilities as a hunter (he an be somewhat stealthy, and he doesn't kill unless he has to: Another one of Theá's philosophies).

And Dawn is a 'Murican :P

I like this... Amaretto.

Makes me wonder what would've happened had he met a different Alicorn than Thea.

No clue :3 He would've probably ignored Sweeper. Arcon wouldn't even care about him (nor would Amaretto care about him). "Torrential is a bloody rain cloud. What use is he?!". I think Armifera & Crashing are the ones he would actually follow if he hadn't met Theá, or at least he would have tried to strike the same deal with them that he made with Theá.

I can basically confirm too that if he met God Scalpel they would have probably ignored each other at best, I'd say Crashing would be a good match for him if he hadn't met Thea.

Also I am really wondering how he will react when Scalpel does some Necromancy to sort out his part of the deal and his family and friends rise from the grave, sounds like an emotionally torturous moment.

Amaretto's family is alive, though his maids and butlers and every friend he had in the mansion he and his family lived in were killed. Also, he's seen a lot of stuff in the time he's been fighting, so necromancy won't bring him very out of sorts. What would, however, would be illusions of his family getting killed, or images of his daughter getting kidnapped again. That would trigger a very... violent response.

I'd say the only thing to really piss off Scalpel would be to harm Honey or for him to figure out you betrayed him, the former is actually an undercurrent to the plot as he has been systematically hunting down and murdering the Earthborn involved in her mutilation over the years. Either would basically involve him going out of his way to cause the person as much pain as possible, and killing Honey would basically result in him losing the last of his ethical restraints and sanity.

Also you said "friends and family" in the RP, so I presumed some relatives are dead at least.

That's him lying through his teeth ^^

Also, I actually have an idea which would make sure that Amaretto doesn't betray Scalpel, nor would he actually get on bad terms with Herr Doktor.

And so Scalpel gives him a good idea what he is walking into whilst continuing to be relatively hostile and disbelieving, all the while drinking whisky.

Le classeau :P

Also BOOM! 200th post! I feel specials.

that whisky is probably older than Ammy's great, great, great grandfather, and it may well have been made by one of his family a couple of centuries back, so who knows.

Scalpel was trying to bring ponies back to life when he was with the Cult, right?

nope, standard medical practices, He left the necromancy to the deranged cultists, mostly because he has tested necromancy extensively beforehand and viewed it as a waste of time and effort.

I was sure he talked to a Cultist about "twenty corpses payment instead of 10" or something like that... Him wanting more from a deal they had than usual.

Sorry I thought you were asking whether he was Necro'ing ponies for the cult the first time I read that, my bad.

That was his attempts at perfecting the process of Ressurectionism and the machinery involved in it. Also they weren't exactly dead and the cult didn't exactly understand what he was doing with them, which was honestly pretty brutal anyway. Grunge was one of those ponies in the machinery test, and lets just say that he's different from the others because he wasn't made once the pony itself was dead first, and he is still alive despite what has been done to him.
