I'm open to playing the Peons during battles. Of course, if anyone would rather just write out the battle themselves, I'm fine with it.

Pfft. Don't only think of moves. Think of other actions. That Oddish can certainly still ram you, and kick you with those little feet, or bite. Though they won't be as strong as actual moves like Bite and Tackle, the thought is still there.
