She waited as the first two made their way out; Rennac immediately got to working, and Six's first concern for some reason seemed to be her own well being. She was standing that was enough for now. She gave another glance in, vaguely sure she saw movement amongst the others. No blood that she could see, so she turned her attention to the ones present.

"I'm fine," she said quickly to Six, and only then checked to make sure the plates would move alright. They were designed to compensate for some misalignment, mainly her legs and arms, and a quick tests told her everything was where it ought to be.

Her attention turned to Rennac next, and she walked over, giving him a quick scanning glance for any wounds. "Anything?" she asked expectantly. This was new, troubling. They were down their leader, but that wasn't as alarming as the loss of power. Orders she could give, explanations, not so much.

Ryder was shaken and stunned a bit, being so big and unable to be properly strapped in he was a tad worse for wear, but otherwise fine. Making a low grumbling noise to shifted to unhook himself, falling down to the ground and scrambling to get up in the tight space made tighter by the warping of the walls.

Eventually he did make it and bumped his way out, moving some pieces of warped metal to make it out the jagged exit.

He let out another groan and said, "What happen."

Rennac turned to Jackdaw and nodded. "Did get an interesting reading. From what I can tell there was no hacking attempt and the system wasn't compromised, least not the computer. I had to supply power from my wrist computer but I was able to find the error log it put out before all systems went dead. It would look like a typical power failure but there was no surges or spikes in power typical of this kind of failure. It just all cut out like it was hit with an EMP blast. However that's impossible since the only thing that was affected was the dropship. Best I could guess is that whatever hit us was either a directional based EMP weapon or it was an electro magnetic field calibrated to cut out those specific systems. However I've never heard of any such weapons existing nor any research going into those concepts." He turned in surprise to Ryder, more surprised by the fact he could talk. "Something cut the power to the ship when we passed the atmosphere. Trying to figure out what." He turned back to Jackdaw, a thoughtful expression visible on his face through the visor. "Whichever one it is, it would explain why this place went dark."

Jackdaw turned as Ryder emerged from the wreckage. Good, another able body. All that left was Taerys and the pilot; she found herself almost worried, but quickly swept that out of her mind. Instead she put a finger up to Rennac as if to pause, and looked to Ryder.

"Check the pilot, see if he's alive," she said, keeping her tone light. It wasn't wise to snap at the giant man, and he was far too important in battle for her to risk getting on his bad side when it was easy enough to stay off of it.

Then she turned back to Rennac, and nodded. "Good. Keep it up, you're what we have to figure this out right now," she said.

"Six. Your gear. Is it all intact?"

Six shifted his own limbs around--they were stuck on the ground now, which really meant he wished Hark was here. Hated being grounded, especially without the other man there.

Jackdaw seemed to be taking charge, which he was a-okay with--she seemed intelligent, after all, and capable, and that was all he needed. She turned to him, and he quickly tugged out his weapon, clicking through--needle, blade, back in--and then nodded. "Everything's fine on me."

Rennac was somewhat surprised he got even the slightest praise out of Jack, having figured he was at least taking a step in the right direction. Now he just had to make sure they all got out alive without him doing anything to lose whatever slight advantage he had. Figuring he had his two possibilities for how this phenomenon occurred he then knew he had to work from there. He began with a diagnostic of their comm systems, checking if they were dead outright or if there was interference. If nothing was affecting them than it was likely some sort of projectile based attack. If he had trouble getting through, then he had to assume it was some sort of field that caused the crash.

Ryder stood there for a moment, shaking his head, not to say no, but to shake the stars out. When most were gone, he turned and walked over to the cockpit. The cockpit looked messed up, all the glass was cracked or shattered, the metal frame was ruined and warped, and inside the flight suit of a pilot was trapped by metal and dirt.

He reached down and pulled and bent the metal away. The dirt fell off easily enough, and when he was almost done, the pilot began to stir, shaking his head only to cringe in pain when he did. "Easy big guy, I think my leg is broken." When Ryder cleared his way out, he was able to get up on one leg, but not hold himself on the other. "Yeah, broken." He finished through a cringe of pain. The pilot was human, not very well built, but a damn good flyer.

Ryder let out a low moan, much like a whale's call, offering his hands to carry him.

The pilot accepted and together they went back to the group. The pilot cradled like a baby in Ryder's massive metal arms.

Jackdaw was pleasantly surprised to see the pilot had made it. Or at least whatever the closest thing to pleasantly surprised was with her. She felt a pang of regret that they didn't have a field medic with them, but she had it on good authority that they were having one shipped in soon. Good enough, but not for now.

"Don't know if any of us brought first-aid, or if they survived the crash, but it's worth a shot. He's no good to us if he can't at least stand," she said, and made her way back into the ship.

The supply crates were sealed, and safe, so they had that going for them. When she pried open the nearest one, she was relieved to find a decent amount of medical supplies there, and pulled out what she knew were at least useful items. Her knowledge of medical things was not stellar, but how much could there be to making a splint? She made her way back out and dumped the supplies on the ground, ushering Ryder over with the pilot.

"I can't heal you, this is the best we can do for you until we get back to the Dawn," she said flatly. Probably not what he would want to hear, but that didn't register much with her.

Ryder nodded and walked over, using his knees to cushion the stress on the pilot.

"It's ok, I can. Just bring the rest of the box out here." He said exasperated. His leg clearly making him somewhat dizzy from pain.

Ryder set him down gently by the pile of supplies and took a few steps back, deciding to wander around the ship for anything else. He wasn't very smart, but he tended to be smart enough when it counted.

"I'm Hay, by the way. Thanks for helping me guys." The pilot said through heavy breathes and a cracked helmet, removing it shortly after he was set down.

Six snagged some of the supplies, taking the box closer to the injured man and pulling what he thought he'd need closer to him--something for the pain, a couple of things that looked like they could splint a leg, a couple kinds of bandages to secure it around him. "I'll straighten the leg if you need it," he offered, trying to be as comforting as a gas-mask with spikes could be.

He knew he was with a capable group--they'd make do, they were clever and they weren't completely without supplies. But still, he could feel in his gut that Hark would be useful here, Hark could get them out of this and find Varus and get them all together, and he missed his partner more than ever. Irrationally, he wondered whether the other would be worried about him--hadn't messaged him since before he armored up, after all, and with the threat seeming to be based around technology, doing so now would not only be difficult, but a bad idea at that--best to save what use they could of their electronics.

Rennac cursed under his breath as all of the comms tests came back not only as negative, but completely unresponsive. He felt like throwing his helmet but kept himself contained for now. Panicking only made you an easier target. He came back over to Jackdaw, handing her one of the metal plates for the splint. "Just did a diagnostic on our comms system. Not only are we unable to hail the Dawn, but there is literally nothing. No static, no interference, just silence. It's like all radio wavelengths cease to exist outside our communication devices. So far, thinking the most likely cause is some sort of field interfering with electronics. If nothing else it seems Cybernetic systems work since your armor is still up and running. Hmm.." He was visibly thinking, figuring out what would keep the tech in their armors working while comm devices were outright unresponsive. It looked like he might be onto something but it was a long shot even if he had a workshop to make any modifications in.

Jackdaw nodded, more than willing to differ to Hay's knowledge on healing. Her job was just the opposite, and any time she had to spend on going against her primary teachings was time wasted.

"Keep him steady," she said to Six, and then went back to drag the rest of the medical supplies outside. It took a few minutes, but it got done, and she crouched next to Hay once it was. "You good to handle this?"

Rennac came back over, speaking about the problem again. She listened, though even now that it was important, she still couldn't make out much of it. They were cut off, but she and the others' tech was still functional. That was the gist, that would do for her. "So we don't have a lot of options, we need to find Varus, find what's causing this, then hail the Dawn," she paused then.

Leader. Right now, undisputed -until Taerys emerged that was, she was certain- she was leading. Act like a leader, or at least act reasonably. She cleared her throat again, waving him away. "Erh, good job."

Hay let out a deep breath as he knew what had to be done. He grabbed a cylinder, cracking the top off to reveal a series of three needles, turning the newly exposed head the handles popped out and he jammed it into his leg, pushing on the plunger, pumping his body with pain inhibitors. It took a minute, be he was numb enough for part two.

"I need your help. Just grab my leg here and push hard, it will pop back into place." He said pointed to where Six should put his hands, then he leaned back and bit onto empty injector, it was metal and would help with the pain that would come.

Six followed the instruction, putting his hands against the man's limb and snapping his weight into it sharply. He was loathe to admit it, but the straight-up following orders was ... not a part he was much used to. Hadn't been a team player before Hark, and after that it was just the two of them. Not from his own personality, or really his choice--just how he'd always been set up. He felt he was a friendly enough person, but he'd never been given a team before, certainly not a leader, and he was worried he'd follow orders too blindly trying to make sure he didn't look a rebel.

Hay bit down so hard he thought he might have chipped a tooth, but the pain in his mouth faded quickly and it did in his leg too. He let the injector fall out of his mouth and he let out a weighted sigh and took minute to himself.

He took his time grabbing a pair of metal rods and some gauze, wrapping his leg with a rod on either side, crafting a firm and solid structure to hold his shin in place and make it so he could atleast hobble.

He looked around, he made a stinti, but he would need a crutch to help him fully move. Then he spotted it.

"Ryder, could you be a friend and grab that for me?" He said pointing to a long piece of bent metal, probably a part of a piston before the crash.

Ryder looked around for a bit, trying to see what he was pointing at, grabbing a few wrong things before finally getting the right one.

When he brought it over Hay took it and put a wad of matted gauze at the end he would stuff into his armpit. And before anyone knew it, he was able to hobble with his ship built medical set.

Rennac nodded, knowing that whatever was causing this they would.need to get to the colony first. If they were lucky the cause would.be there and they could destroy it. If not, he could at least build a scanner that might be able to locate the cause. For now he went back into.the ship, trying to salvage any tech components he could use and placing them into a pack.

Taerys felt like she was going to be sick. Not only had the ride down been unspeakably rough, she'd also been right next to Varus as his part of the ship had torn away and tumbled into the distance. Watching that was almost like her own heart had been torn out of her body. Now she was sat strapped into her seat inside the mangled mess that was the dropship, just thankful to be alive. Her breathing was heavy, but she felt nothing to suggest that she'd been injured.

After a couple of moments, the Varyx unbuckled herself from the seat and crashed down onto some debris just below her. She grimaced but did her best to ignore it, instead just crawling out of the wreckage into the open air.  When she'd made it out, Taerys took a second to recollect her thoughts, sitting up against the side of the ship. She'd noticed the others down at the other end of the wreck, though for now she made no move to meet up with them; it made sense to make sure that she was ok herself first. The others could wait.

The Varyx girl would not be afforded much time to herself; as soon as she heard wreckage move and feet touch the ground, Jackdaw turned to see her. Taerys seemed to be looking herself over, which was good, it was less time Jackdaw would have to waste.

"If you're alright, get down here and make yourself useful," she called up.

She'd been thinking of plans since they'd started to crash, and then again after Varus was thrown out. Of course to her they made sense, but back in her mind she knew that if Taerys survived, there'd be a spat in it for her. Which of course, she was absolutely fine with.

Six hovered lightly around--Hay took care of himself, and everyone else seemed to be alright. He shifted his position nearer to Jackdaw--she seemed to be taking up the helm, after all. "Any plans for the next move?"

If Hark had been here, he'd have offered them to split off from the ship, see if they could backtrack far enough to find Varus and get the full team back together. They'd done more dangerous things, after all, and after so long in a place that was mostly other people he was itching for some time with just him and Hark again. A lot of missions had been like this, for them--dump the two alone on some planet, and wait for them to call back with a completed mission. Most of his best memories were of those times--making their way forward against rough odds, days spent travelling with the scenery flying by, nights together under whatever stars and moons the planet happened to have ...

But this was all hypothetical, and right now, he couldn't think about that. He had to focus on how these people and him would get themselves out of this scrape.

Taking orders from Jackdaw...boy, was this day shitty. Taerys knew that sitting here wasn't going to help matters but she trusted nobody enough to prioritize their well-being above her own if it was going to disadvantage her. Sure, there were people here that she liked better than others but nobody was indispensable. She also knew that she could survive on her own; Varaxian culture demanded it of their people. To Taerys, independence was strength.

With one final check of her armour, making sure there were no breaches, Taerys pushed herself to her feet and joined up with the rest of the group. "We need to get moving now. Whoever took our ship down knows that we're here. We have nowhere to hide at the moment." She stated matter-of-factly. They couldn't stay in one place for long out here. They had no idea what they were up against and in the open their vulnerabilities were only being amplified.
