He holds Atlanta for now. Wait until the Colombians arrive.

I'm not the waiting type, really...

I'd like to mention that at this point if I can hold out until 1866 I'll be happy.

Also, I think 1863 was the bloodiest year of the ACW yet.

Alright, for fucks sake Nex, is this really necessary? Your income went down, like, £70 or so. Your stats still beat Kho's in almost every way. This is a game, not a competition, so chill the fuck out.

Kho is building Ironclads of HMS Warrior displacement (10,000 tons) (I assume that is the standard) at 125% the rate a unified Germany was in 1905, as the unindustrialized Ottoman Empire. And why didn't you just give Nex Belgium's income?

It has been, but wait until '64. That was really the bloodiest year of the war, mostly because of Grant.

The Netherlands raised 15,000 regulars and took an income dive of -£25.
The Ottoman Empire raised 100,000 regulars and received an income boost of +£130.

The only action that the Ottoman Empire took to raise their income was the production of their new fleet. Everyone ought to go another -£50,000 in debt next turn, it'll be a massive boost to the world economy.

You know, Nex, Boerd, I think the appropriate response to something like this is "Thank you for all the hard work you're putting into this. I don't understand the changes you made to the system, however. Can you please explain them to me?"

Sometimes it just comes down to the rolls as well. This is not supposed to be some hyper-realistic game. It's about the fun of all those involved and creating an enjoyable alternate history. Yeah, that means that sometimes 'realistic' details might not seem 100% logical, but does it really matter?

Our reaction has indeed been a bit vociferous, and so I will tone it down, but I like to think of my efforts as generating dialogue as a lively discussion.

Outcast said 3) Keep things realistic. I understand that it is unlikely that we will be following the OTL to the letter, but that doesn't mean you can go and invent nuclear weapons in 1880 or release a tribe of smallpox-infested African Gorillas in downtown London.

Edit: Ottoman Empire making that many Ironclads that fast is kind of Gorillas in downtown. Even more so provided I don't believe they possess the capability to make them at the time, then again neither did Italy though I only have three coming. It does raise a question though as the Russian DoW on Persia while a bit silly without buildup was blocked, but certain moves made by Britain was responded to with barely an repercussions.

Oh I know. And I'm pretty much giving my generals free range this next year to pull any trick they think will work to kill Yanks and turn the tide of this war...

I made certain to state 'hyper-realist' and '100%'.

What I meant by my statement is that it unrealistic to expect Outcast to know every single little detail of running a government and expect him to manage that. That's what the rolls are for.

If it all came down to rolls, I'll be eager to see the next update, wherein the tides grossly in favour of the Ottomans will surely not repeat themselves.
