@TheWindel - I mean that once the first IC post is done, are you going to tell us where we are going to start? Or can we just start wherever we want. Like since my guy is part of the Librarian faction is he going to start with other Librarian cronies at some sort of meeting or are we going to be able to start in whatever location we want?

@Frosty - Nice. I don't play League too often anymore due to my Internet signal but back when I did I'd play a pretty decent Draven/Lucian bot lane.

Anyways, feel free to ignore my terrible attempts at small talk but I figure if we're going to RP with each other we might as well get to know one another you know? Talk and stuff outside of the IC. So I'll start off with myself.

I'm Athos (Most people know me by my old name Minnesota Nice/Minnie though), my username is based off The Three Musketeers, my girlfriend broke up with me yesterday, and I work at a shitty local fast food joint so don't get offended if I leave conversations without much notice beforehand since that means that I was probably leaving towards work in a rush. What's up with you guys? (inb4 this gets ignored, anyways I'm going to go do my afternoon run so I guess I'll see if my attempts of socialization worked when I get back)

@DAWNSTAR. Niflheim as already been claimed by Spoo. Do you want Midgard instead?

@Athos. Yes, you will each be in control of where you all start. This will be heavily reliant on player interaction. As for conversation....er, hello everyone? I'm a robot?

Name: Yuki Natsuko
Title: Asgard, the Crimson Knight
Age: 63. Physically looks 20.
Faction: The Ultimatum
Personality:
Loyal and unwavering, Yuki takes any and all orders with the utmost discipline and priority. Having worked for too much in obtaining leadership over the Judicial Division, she works tirelessly in serving The Superior and carrying out the Ultimatum's will. She tends to speak very little and only when required, believing that actions speak louder than any words.

As such, she is almost always seen with her armor at the ready for swift deliverance of injustice. Rumor has it that she apparently has a soft spot for ice cream though. As time passed on, she found herself questioning the presence and purpose of Jester. For fear of her own insubordination and possible disloyalty, she has kept her views on the man silent for now.

History:
Due to the conclusion of the Forever War, the blessing of Unity was often abused in the early days of the Ultimatum for personal profit and power. Having come from a lifestyle where the innocent were usually trampled on needlessly by the greed of humans, Yuki was raised on a strong sense of moral justice because of this. It was this passion that drove her to excel through later hardships, eventually being one of the chosen four deemed worthy enough to personally serve Sachiro Harime, the progenitor of all Unity.

All that is publicly known about Yuki is that it somehow involved a church and a priest addicted to the gift of Unity. Beyond that, no one knows of the Crimson Knight's past. No one, but her fellow knights. And of course, The Superior.

Tome:
Saibankan Tenka, or Judge Ignition- In its initial book form, it takes on the appearance of a small bible with a crimson cover and an orange spine with hexagonal patterns running across it. When activated, it becomes a mighty blade much akin to a claymore. Saibankan Tenka possesses the power to collect all moisture in the area and convert it into kinetic energy, thus producing powerful flames.

Appearance

Name: Yagi Ai

Age: 19

Faction: Librarian

Personality: “Cheap trick” is an expression that truly solidifies into the person that is Ai. An opportunist in his faction, he pulls off well as both a fellow cause-loyal rioter and an oblivious citizen within all the chaos, although to his friends in the faction it really just seems like good cover-up. Of course, some will become wary of his absence from many key riots, but nobody can say anything against him as it is however easy to get loss in the mess. The majority of his contacts are with the scattered radicals within the rebels, those who rob and kidnap and leave their companions to die on the run “for freedom!”, of which Ai has become very well acquainted with. Equipped with experience and a way with words, he rose from a minimum of painless imprisonments to becoming specialized in blackmail missions and extortions, rarely ever resorting to real physical violence, although he does know how to wield sharp objects. He is surprisingly cautious under his shock of black hair, constantly fleeing from places too well known, and clever in a way, but even through the charming façade he is developing a sense of paranoia, and oftentimes tries to walk at the back of a group of people of which he knows there are several in position of sharp objects, in fear of being stabbed from behind. This even manifests in a sort of insecure arrogance that of course wouldn’t show, but manifests itself in the feeling that somebody is always judging his looks and strut, or in the need to completely either humiliate, fool or downright feel in control of others to unconsciously prove to himself that he is better, that he’s really the smarter one, that he is amazing.

History: Although he comes from a poor enough family, his parents, recognizing the importance of such, dedicated a great sum of money into his education, even buying him books outside of regular school and forcing him to read and memorize important information. The child grew bored easily, but found out cheats and systems to only read the essential things that would impress his parents and teachers – otherwise Ai didn’t care much about anything but mundane child antics with his friends. Skipped pages of books and running around barefoot were almost the entirety of his early childhood. Approaching his early teens, though, Ai became progressively sicker, often having to lie in bed days on end with a high fever, and although they put up with it the first month, having to believe that this shall pass, on the second the resolution his parents made was to sell the furniture for money. On the third they sold clothes, on the fourth they sold the curtains and all the sheets except for the one their son lied under. Every time he showed signs of recovery the family was dipped in the most joyous atmosphere such an empty, tiny house could express. Every time his health dropped, even the neighbors felt the brooding silence that fell with it. On the fifth his books were sold, and the most prestigious doctor they could have possibly afforded was found and slowly cured the boy. On the first days of his return to the outside world, the frail teenager noticed a shift in the attitude of people. Everyone was so sorry for him, but everyone was so sorry in such a condescending way. And now he didn’t go to school anymore, his life being in a state of recovery. Now he was unfortunate, passively unfortunate. “He was such a bright, hardworking boy, the poor dear!” They went on and on with the terrifying implication that those five months of inactivity had made him dumb, weak, useless. As if it’s alright to imply this because he was sick. That entire year for his family was horrible with or without the empty sympathy. And that’s what he begun to feel. Empty, aggressively, actively empty.

With fiscal matters becoming the silent weight on family dinners that grew shorter, blander and soggier every day, Ai was determined to do something. Empty and angry from the mockery of passivity, as he dared think it, hopelessness, the teenager stepped into the places he understood the contents of but never entered. He could not be strong due to his past ailments, but he was quick and good at keeping out of trouble. He pretended to have a cause, to denounce the government that he read exactly two pages about, delivered rousing speeches with hints of flattery directed towards each audience he met. He shone like before, and he got money from it. On his way home he bought fish and legumes, telling his parents that he’d have caught and foraged it all with his own two hands. This grew until eventually his parents got themselves a small piece of land to farm on, around the time he grew up and set off on his own, with a knife and some friends. Through the years he’d have become a criminal… but for the Librarian, so it’s alright to the few chosen people that accompany him. And he’s alright, he thought, if there were at least this whole community approving of him. He’s still empty now from the terror of that fever, but Ai knows exactly what he’s doing.

Tome: Probably the only book he really cares about. As a book, it is small, vertically the length of an adult hand and horizontally maybe the width of the wrist. It is completely covered in thin-looking black leather, and the empty pages are yellowish in color. There are no markings or anything special on the cover, but the endpapers are pale silver coloured, tin-foil-like pieces with intricate carvings on them of flowers and monsters, maybe telling a story... although if that’s the case Ai really has no idea what it is. It also seems as if the flowers and monsters moved, some disappearing from the paper completely, others appearing in the middle of it out of nowhere. Its owner never finds the time to investigate or even stare at the paper long enough to see any movement, though.

Activated, it is a sharp, finger-sized knife that bends up just a bit nearing its tiny point – not his usual dagger for extortions, which looks smartly threatening but otherwise mediocre. This is more the kind that peels apples and stabs backs. It is apparently made out of smooth glass, and is completely transparent if one didn’t pay attention, appearing only a tiny bit more clearly to Ai. The nameless dagger (he fails to see why a name is necessary) is very much unbreakable, and actually extremely tough; its transparence is reinforced by the fact that when dust or any other filth lands on it, it slides off immediately. A meager ability. Right?

@Saccharin. Accepted. Don't worry about the long text. More description is always better.

@Frosty. Yep it is! I'm debating whether or not I should use another Elsword character for Jester's appearance. A certain enigmatic fellow....

But if we just start, then it's assumed that half or a little less than half of the characters get starting scenes and the rest will reply to a scene of their choice, with hopefully even distribution, right? How is it organized? Sorry if it’s apparent, I’m not all that familiar with one-thread RPs

Name: Jester
Title: The Magix Man
Age: Unknown
Faction: The Ultimatum
Personality:
The man simply known as Jester is shrouded in mystery and superstition. Indeed, no one but Sachiro Harime herself knows of his true goals and ambitions. He is a quiet and polite man, never speaking out of turn and always listening to the words of others first. Even so, he has an unspoken sense of superiority about him that can surprisingly overwhelm the strongest of hearts.

Jester treats everything as a game of chance and greatly enjoys toying with others, despite his initial appearance of patience and understanding. He is extremely close to Yggdrasil and The Superior, often guiding them both through counsel. Furthermore, he has a strong, almost obsessive, faith in The Dyteniteity, the original herald of all Unity.

History:
Accepting to legend, Jester was one of the few individuals present when Sachiro Harime received the gift of Unity from The Dyteniteity. Since then, the masked man has had a hand in quite a few major events. He was there at the end of the Forever War when Sachiro defeated the Great Beast. It has even been stated that it was he who first offered the ideas of the Ultimatum to Sachiro.

Whatever may have occurred in the past, none can deny that Jester is a personal advocate of The Superior and a benefactor to the Knights of Ragnorak. He mainly spends his days discussing matters with The Superior and Yggdrasil or just popping up at the most unexpected of times.

Tome:
Mus Elementum, or Absolute Configuration- Jester's Tome takes the form of a small book with a dark gray color and blank pages. On the surface, it doesn't appear much compared to some of the Tomes exuded by most. However, the true form of Mus Elementum has reportedly never been seen by a living soul. Some have claimed to see glimpses of its manifestation, but each of these accounts are different from the other.

One time it takes on the form of a single metal wing, and the next it becomes a silver gauntlet. Others claim it is actually a massive sword. Even The Superior is speculated to have never seen the Tome's final manifestation. Whatever if may be, it only adds to the air of mystery surrounding the masked Jester.

Sorry if this didn't make things clear! So basically, I will pretty much establish where everyone should be present in the first IC post. Once that's done, players are free to go about and travel to other locations or interact with characters in that area. So yeah, basically picking and choosing which responses or actions to answer to. However, there's no reason why each character shouldn't have a starting scene, as it won't be unequal or anything. Technically, replying to another post and then some would be a starting scene.

Hopefully that makes sense....

It's weird how the powers of the two knights shown so far have powers similar to one another in initialization but the outcomes are conflicting. Aichi uses ice to form glacial structures that rival steel and the mythological mithril, while Yuki uses moisture-induced flames that can melt the ice almost as quickly as Aichi makes his tools.

Name: Sachiro Harime
Title: The Superior of the Ultimatum
Age: 63. Physically appears 23.
Faction: The Ultimatum
Personality:
A sense of elegance and grace washes over all in the presence of The Superior, Sachiro Harime. A soft spoken young lady, she rarely speaks aloud; when she does speak, it is usually heartfelt advice or something of dire importance. She can often be found staring intently, as if burying her gaze into one's very soul. The truth of the matter is that she is able to physically see the Unity in each and every living creature.

Upon first impressions, one can assume that Sachiro is a kind and compassionate leader to her subordinates. While this may be the case most of the time, she is also able to exude extreme cruelty and sadism when needed. Most speculate that this paradoxical contrast of behaviorism is due to stresses in leadership. Others claim that the vast amounts of Unity within her has damaged her mentality permanently. Still, others assume it is in preparation for a changing of the world she is soon planning to enact.

Despite these conflicting views, all can agree on one objective observation; Sachiro Harime often seems to lose herself to the jaws of loneliness.

History:
The story of Sachiro Harime is a legendary tale that has been recounted time and time again. A young girl who dreamt of the faraway stars in the midst of the Forever War was visited one faithful night by an omnipotent and almighty being, one said to create all worlds and yet none at all. The Dyteniteity. And thus the gift of Unity was blessed upon humanity, making Sachiro the first human to utilize both magic and technology into perfect harmony.

History marched onward. The Great Beast is slain, ending the Forever War and uniting the world under Sachiro's newfound Ultimatum. The potential of Unity being harnessed in all living creatures became a living ideology and soon the world evolved. As The Superior, Sachiro now found herself with the power and means to transform and change the world for the better.

Although most would agree with the system of the Ultimatum, there are some who would criticize and slander Sachiro's name and label her a marauding tyrant. Riots have begun to become a problem with the arrival of this "Librarian", and rumors are rampant that The Superior is focusing all of her resources and energy to craft together a massive Tome. A super weapon.

But what is the truth?

Tome:
Mauris sit Divinum, or Divine Rainbow- Sachiro possesses the first ever Tome gifted to mankind. All Tome models have been fashioned after the Mauris sit Divinum in some way, shape or form. Furthermore, all Unity stems and flows from this Tome, possibly making it the strongest in existence.

In its initial form, Mauris sit Divinum takes the form of a large book with an assortment of different colors displayed both on its front and back covers, creating a rainbow effect. Inside, the pages are lined with gold and filled to the brim with multiple different languages, including some that have yet to be translated. Adding to its refined image is a silver lining across the spine of the book, adorned with various incomprehensible symbols.

When activated, the Tome transforms into an armored robe carried aloft by many angelic wings of metal. It is said that this Tome has the rare power to create new Unity to manipulate, as well as to silence it permanently within a person's soul.
