Seeing that people were indeed talking amongst themselves and building familiarity, Shiroe nodded in satisfaction. Not only would this make things more productive, but with everyone on tiptoes with each other, he wouldn't have to worry too much about severe inter group conflict at the moment. His lips unable to quirk themselves upward, a rather sly smirk found its way onto the Archmage's face. Adjusting his glasses once more, Shiroe then peered at the current groupings. Several had taken up the offer of this "System Lord" and were now following behind him, heading towards the nearest tall structures. The rest were still milling about, comforting or questioning each other.

Making a split second decision, Shiroe let his feet take him after Ba'al's group, but not before summoning a <<Bug's Light>> to leave behind in his place. A rather simple magic that summons a glowing orb with a simplistic and cute face, the glowing transparent thing floated where the mage used to stand. Its job was to guide the remaining group after the others and since it was connected to its caster by an invisible bond, would not get lost. Making sure to keep a particularly close ear and eye on Ba'al, what Shiroe heard made him grimace. The title of "System Lord" and the claim of ruling many solar systems... It was enough to set his scalp prickle. Though he had no proof that a System Lord was good or evil, just the fact that they ruled over this much expanse of space was enough to be a concern. After all, those with such power often had certain beliefs... If dealing with the nobility of a fantasy world was complicated, how much more would it be to one whose territory were planets?

While Shiroe was busy ruminating and piecing together the puzzle in his mind, the group came into view of a certain line of buildings. For the most part, they were houses built rather shoddily or of primitive designs. However, a bluish gray hotel skyscraper laid in the midst of the objects like an elephant among ants for it stretched thirty stories high. Though it looked slightly outdated by modern standards, it still had an appealing design and warm golden light drifted from the windows, indicating that there was indeed electricity. In the dark,

A rather ornate sign indicated that the hotel's name was dubbed as "Oasis", though the doors that should have been open closed behind solid wooden doors. Quite likely it was due to being located in a rather seedy part of the City. One could even see that all their windows had strong bars firmly locking the portals from being opened from the outside. Shiroe took in this scene silently. "It looks like it came out from the Roaring Twenties..." This might make a good place for either information gathering, a temporary shelter or even as a base, though one would have to figure out exactly how to do so. Force would work to give them entrance, but there were also other gentler methods to employ. He watched, waiting to see what the others would do. Actions did speak louder than words after all.

Vash listened to Ba’al’s description of his title with interest. It wasn’t often that he met someone so much more powerful than himself - even if Ba’al’s power seemed to be merely political rather than physical. He was of course wary of someone that powerful, though, knowing how dangerous someone with that kind of ability can be, but he also didn’t want to assume that he was potentially evil just because of that power. Doing so would be rather hypocritical of him.

As they walked, they soon came across the hotel Oasis, and it seemed pretty clear that getting in wouldn’t be too easy. Vash didn’t come across this kind of security often, and even when he did, there were usually people around to outsmart. Such was typically his approach to such challenges. But here, there wasn’t anyone to sneak past when a door opened, or even anyone to scare off by shouting his own name. His hand brushing against the holster hidden under his jacket, though, he did come up with an idea.

“Do you think those locks would break if we shot them?” he suggested. “Like, with a gun?” He made a gun shape with his hands. …Wait. People here know what guns are, right?! He could only hope so. Otherwise he wasn’t sure he’d be able to understand anything going on in this place.

"Most likely yes but there could be complications with such a method, alarms security and the like. While we haven't encountered anything yet an alarm would certainly draw attention to ourselves if the gunshot itself would not, though I have only seen Elves and Cygnar use such things. However I see no magical signs anywhere on the door and no way to open it from out here outside of magic amongst our ragtag group, unless one of you knows how to pick such things?" He was still amazed at how impossibly tall the structure was with almost no base at all to support it. This was also amplified by how fragile the whole thing looked. Yes there was rock here and there but it was mostly glass.

"the other option I can propose is acid, while on a wide spread scale it is not my forte' I could easily summon up enough to coat the lock and disintegrate it, but I fear the result might be the same."

As Sorin listened to the man, his brow furrowed in thought. A plane of that many populated worlds? It was rare, but not unheard of. Rabiah was onesuch that he could recall, consisting of precisely one-thousand-one worlds. The issue with these larger planes was that their mana was often thinly diffused throughout them, making naturally-occurring mages a rarity in them.

Still, he mused aloud, "One plane, yet many worlds. Content with a tyrant to rule them. It is well that the Elder Dragon has not yet discovered your plane, 'System Lord.'" He warned, cryptically.

The small group came upon the towering structure, apparently halted by the security measures in place. Sorin was not familiar with this specific architecture, but he had seen structures not unlike this one on more urban planes, such as Fiora. They were apparently worried about tripping some manner of alarm by forcing their way in, which Sorin deemed a paltry manner. Mortals were very rarely difficult for him to deal with.

As he strode forward to resolve the issue, he gave the offhand comment, "It's a queer thing, how a blatantly necrotic lich is so concerned with subtlety."

Sorin called to the Black mana of the plane, and with it he formed a simple corruption spell. With a slight touch, the wood of the door around the lock rotted away, and the latch fell to the ground with a clang. Another tap and the heavy doors swung open. Sorin turned about, sardonically gesturing for his "companions" to lead the way inside.

"'When one treads what he believes to be hell he does not do it with steel grieves.' Not even I am beyond death and I have too much to do to surrender to her grasp just yet." He slide into the eery building. It seemed as though whatever happened her happened very suddenly from the events at the bar. "If the residents here died they did so without knowing how themselves." He gestured to used drinking glasses half full, with no apparent bodies to go with them. "ether that or all of them managed to flee without so much as a single death."

Saber

After ensuring things would be alright, Saber proceeded into the town after the others. Before she left, she cast a quick glance back at the fiery woman. She was unsure of what to say, but she did feel that the group sticking together was for the best... Her name was Mokou, correct? Saber turned to face her, then spoke.

"You should follow as well," she began, "It is safer."

It was rather blunt and direct, but Saber did not wish to leave anyone in possible danger, even if they appeared to be potentially dangerous themselves. With that, she began to follow the others towards the buildings. It was admittedly also because she did not want the lich to leave her sight. She absolutely did not trust the skeletal being.and did not want to let him go with anyone else for too long. Soon, she arrived with the others, ahead of... a hotel? The door was simply crumbling into nothingness... Saber peered at the building in confusion for a few moments, surveying the sight and approaching. It was called 'The Oasis'...

"What kind of place is this...?"

Whitney noticed that her Pokémon attracted lot of attention. That itself was not new as her team was quite popular, but those people (and those who were not people) did not go screaming how cute they were. It’s almost like they’ve never seen a Pokémon before. No, that’s impossible, absolutely impossible. They’re just astonished by cuteness of my darlings. Yes, that’s how it gotta be.

Whitney wondered if she should follow those who went to explore. It sounded dangerous, really dangerous but on the other hand about every single strong-looking person was going. That person who has introduced herself as servant had even said to the fiery person that it would be safer. How about the pink-haired girl. She hasn’t gone, yet at least. Whitney had no clue about what she was going to do. The pink-haired girl was the only one Whitney dared to trust. She might be a little mean, but she had pink hair. In Whitney’s book that meant that she could not be a bad person.

“Um, what you’re about to do?” Whitney asked her.

Sazh continued to watch the scene unfold from his relatively safe distance. He was especially wary of the more obviously evil individuals - namely, the lich and the 'System Lord' - and the ones who otherwise seemed rather shifty: the vintage mage and the red-eyed, silver-haired person. Somehow, those were the ones who were allying themselves the quickest, and unfortunately, making the most sound strategies for the time being. But then there were the just plain weird types, like the girl who was jump-kicking trees to set their branches on fire, that pink-haired lady who had her own personal squad of monsters (and who seemed so painfully oblivious), and the one chick who was dripping with sarcasm. Yeah, Sazh was going to stick with his own current band of misfits, thank you very much.

It was at that moment the thought crossed his mind he finally noticed Saber heading off in the path where the overlord-types had already long gone, towards the city. "Woah, hey hey hey- wait up!" Sazh cried, breaking off into a jog after the swordswoman as the chocobo hurriedly burrowed back into Sazh's hairdo.

Once they had reached the inner areas of the city, stopping where the first group was observing the large building, Sazh stopped to catch his breath proper. The concrete of the building was old, almost archaic to Sazh, but still gaze him a good impression of what it was, based on the sign. 'The Oasis' sounded like a good name for a hotel or resort, maybe a casino. "Looks like some sorta hotel to me," Sazh mumbled in contribution to Saber's thoughts. "Modern, but pretty old fashioned."

Jakuzure Nonon

"I'm going to wonder how the hell I'm seeing real life pokemon, Eighth Grader," replied Nonon, rather sharply. Oh, this girl might not have been an eighth grader, but she certainly seemed like she had Eighth Grader syndrome. Even if she somehow had real Pokemon(how did that even work seriously), she was still rambling about dreams and stuff and that made her seem pretty delusional to Nonon. Still... what was even going on right now? "Sure, the people around me seem pretty weird... I mean look at the ugly skeleton man, or the Blonde Porcupine. But how the hell do you have real pokemon?!"

It was kind of a sticking point for Nonon. They were adorable, actually, in the surreal fashion of seeing real-life pokemon at least. They almost made her miss the fire the one fiery girl had lit. Almost. She supposed that was kind of sensible, it was pretty cold here... but seriously, real pokemon! How the hell? ... Looking at them made Nonon kind of wish she had her stuffed animals with her. But whatever, that wasn't that big of a deal right now. What was important was figuring out what the hell was even going on.

Morito stared up at the huge building towering in front of them, having followed quietly along until now. The Oasis certainly was an interesting sight compared to the buildings around it, and it might even make a decent base of operations while they figured out what was going on in this bizarre place. That is, if the entire building or parts of it at least weren't one big trap. Sure, the door had been locked but it was so incredibly conspicuous that it had to have something going for it, and Morito's first assumption was that it might be some kind of threat. Still, if he was to stay with the group he would probably have to go inside and just remain on guard.

He inwardly winced as the odd, pale type corroded the door away. While it solved the problem of how to get inside, it made the building just that much less defensible in the future. Though given that some of these people possessed powers currently beyond his comprehension it might not matter as much as he'd like.

"So who do you think built this place? It doesn't look exactly like anything else around here, but I don't think you'd need a hotel in the middle of...wherever we are, right?"

Morito made a show of peering around at everything curiously with little regard for his own safety and running on in ahead of the others in the manner of a hyperactive child while actually doing his best to scout out the area for ambushes and hidden traps.

Ba'al looked about, his group swelling as they moved along towards the cluster of buildings. The comment of the strange man and his mention of an 'Elder Dragon' piqued his interest to say the least. "Content? Hardly, " he replied with a self deprecating smirk. "There are more than a few System Lords who would love to overthrow me if they thought they could succeed. Fortunately for me, I have the experience to balance forces and keep my position."

Soon they approached the hotel, bluish grey with golden light leaking from the windows. He watched on, allowing the strange man to demonstrate some of his ability by opening the door for them, with a power that sent his skin tingling, but he followed regardless into the lobby.

"An old Earth design, " he said, musing as he walked. "Made by humans. I would say circa the early 20th century. The real question is how it ended up here."

For some reason, absolutely everyone had decided to leave the warm fire one after the other. This was... annoying; Mokou hadn't bothered making it only for people to wander off without a word. Idiots: she'd made it for their benefit more than hers, as she'd had to endure a hell of a lot worse than this in her life. Also died in worse, so she had a good reason for wanting to help out.

The insolence.

Thus, mildly annoyed, Mokou stalked off after the full group, bringing with her both light and warmth in the shape of wings of fire that presented an amazing fire hazard when in an autumnal forest, but weren't as likely to accidentally set evergreen trees alight. Maybe a building or two, if they had pitch-covered thatch or the like for ceilings. Only a mild risk that anything would suffer burning fiery death, if there was indeed anything here to burn.

With people filing into a building, she reluctantly extinguished the flames--she really hated how badly these people seemed to want to sit around in the cold--and followed inwards, a brief gust of wind catching her hair. Once inside, a smaller fire was once more supplied: it helped to light the place up to get a look around.

"Sure, the people around me seem pretty weird... I mean look at the ugly skeleton man, or the Blonde Porcupine. But how the hell do you have real pokemon?!" the pink-haired girl said.

“Well, I have my Pokémon, because, um, I wanted to start training Pokémon so I got one. So this really is… a world without Pokémon. Where I come from, Pokémon are completely normal thing. But it seems that it's not the case in this world”, Whitney said and started to sob. She took her team, aside Miltank which she kept around because it made her feel safer, back into their pokéballs and moved closer to the fire the firegirl had lit. After a while, she regained her cool.

“Who are you, by the way? And where are you from? And you know about Pokémon, don’t you?” Whitney started to ask questions instinctively to keep the silence away and conversation going on. She also honestly wanted to get to know the girl.

Vash’s eyes widened slightly as the door corroded away. It certainly wasn’t any power he was familiar with, and probably one to watch out for! For all he knew, it worked just as well on humans… He followed the group inside carefully.

Once inside, he was rather pleasantly surprised at the sight in front of him. The bar didn’t look much unlike what he’d expect to find on Gunsmoke, which was a reassuring thought. He was almost a bit tempted to rummage the place for alcohol or, at the very least, tomato juice (always convenient for faking one’s death, if needed), since it was so vacant. However, all the half-empty glasses lying about proved a much bigger distraction; thinking about all the people who may-or-may-not have been able to escape whatever danger they faced made it hard to see the glasses as half-full.

It was then he really noticed the girl toting fire around. Another strange power, and another that had the potential to be really dangerous… but she seemed calmer and more friendly than the lich. Interestingly enough, it wasn’t until he stood close to the warmth of the fire that he really thought about how convenient it was to have someone like her around on such a cold planet. He sat down on the floor next to her, looking her over as a thought came to mind. “You know, I couldn’t help but notice…” he spoke up, before grinning as he finished his thought, “…just how hot you are.”

Asphyxious covered his face and shook his skull when he saw the fiery Menite "Well so much for not alerting the unknown, The entire city must know where we are now." He glide to the elevator "I am heading to the top to see if anything is on its way after us now." Pressing the button the doors thankfully opened with light. "At least the machinery works here."

As people trailed into the Oasis, they would find that the name was apt. A rather ritzy lounge consisting of green velvet and yellow crystal chandeliers greeted their eyes, as well as a sturdy wooden desk with the little old timey ring-a-ding bell. Portraits and oil paintings lined the walls, all tastefully done but rather formal looking and stiff. And the bar was basically stockpiled with a literal rainbow of spirits, seeing as they ranged through the color spectrum and in every shape and size. All in all, it had the feel of a place that expected one to fork over a rather substantial amount of money just to be in.

And yet, the strangest thing was that no one was here. Judging from the newspapers and half filled glasses, it was obviously used. And yet there showed no signs of struggle. It was as though everyone had vanished into thin air. Well, all except for one. Tucked away in a rather dim corner of the building was a comfy armchair. With the lighting darker than just about everywhere else and the location being out of the ways, it was hard to pay attention to it at first. But then one heard the telltale sound of a newspaper's pages being flipped and one realized that someone was there.

Said someone looked as though someone had cut out a shadow, turned it three dimensional, and made it solid enough to be able to interact with the physical world. It was in the general shape of an average man, with no discernible features other than being humanoid. One leg was crossed over the other comfortably, and several rings of cigarette smoke puffed away from behind the printed pages which were loosely held between hazy black fingers. "As to answer your question, it was I who brought it here from its original world and time period." A rather gentlemanly voice said from behind his black and white cover, unhurried and yet not at all disrespectful. The statement was said at normal speaking levels, and yet it would resound rather clearly to anyone in or near enough the Oasis.

Shiroe jerked his hand a bit at the unexpected sound of someone actually answering one of their questions, his grip hardening on the white staff as he looked about for the voice and settled his gaze on the darkened corner with even darker being in it. The Enchanter readied a spell, ready to use in case things turned out for the worst. And yet nothing happened. The... being tucked away in the corner obviously knew important information, but Shiroe himself did not step forward. As a magician, he was to support everyone from the back with either magic or advice. Keeping his attention all about him, he narrowed his eyes. "...Who are you?"

Sorin gave the lich a contemptuous look as he slowly followed the others into the building. "You have a strange idea of hell, lich." As it was, Innistrad had a hell, and Sorin was quite familiar with it. The fiery maw of Ashmouth was the source of the power that had turned him into a vampire, and Sorin had made an expedition into it long ago when researching his own condition.

The building was apparently some manner of leisure or entertainment establishment, from what Sorin could tell. Drinks, games and other such distractions were plentiful. Rather than have his focus broken by them, Sorin stayed on guard. This place gave him an uncomfortable feeling, even without being so obviously the subject of forceful time/space displacement. The ancient vampire's hand never strayed from his sword.

His suspicions were confirmed by the appearance of the strange entity that claimed credit for the building's abduction. Though he did not draw the Parasite Blade, Sorin's grip on it tightened as he spun to face the unknown being. As it spoke, he tried to read its mans signature, but found himself unable. It was though it was not even really there, merely a shadow, as obvious as it seemed. This greatly perplexed Sorin, as even illusions had mana signatures.

In any case, Sorin now had a prime suspect for the individual responsible for bringing him here. Rather than mouth off as he was sure the others were about to do, he remained silent, yet firm. He advanced to the front of the group, standing among the closest to the being, slowly gathering mana and his sword ready to be drawn.

Saber

Their surroundings, while noted by Saber, were pushed aside in her mind. There was but one thing important at the moment. The blonde king of knights stepped forward, striding ahead of the others and raising the haze that was the Invisible Air-clad Excalibur in one hand towards the shadow. He was their abductor. He was the one who had torn her away from those she was meant to protect and taken her here, along with all of these other people. She prepared herself for anything, and to attack if the need be. Though given the strange nature of the shadowy figure, she half-suspected that this was only some kind of projection...

Still, she stood at the ready, Excalibur pointing towards him.

"Why have you brought us here?"

Saber's tone was stern. She wanted answers.
Jakuzure Nonon

Nonon raised an eyebrow as she noticed the other pink-haired girl started to sob. The Eighth Grader really was having some trouble here, wasn't she. Nonon guessed that outright mocking her wouldn't be any fun. Reducing someone to tears wasn't exactly entertaining, and it wasn't really warranted unless someone had really, really insulted Satsuki. Then there would be no mercy. But the Eighth Grader hadn't, so there wasn't much of a reason to try and push her to tears. Still... This was pretty completely insane. She had pokemon! She'd put all of them away except the Militank, too... and she was sitting right by the fire the girl on fire had started. Nonon supposed that was a good idea even with the total lunacy going on.

"You still sound like a lunatic to me, Eighth Grader," began Nonon, "But you do have pokemon. It's a video game so I'm not sure how the hell you have real ones, that's pretty damn weird, Eighth Grader."

Mokou

The blonde guy in the coat would be utterly disappointed at how his flirting slid off of Mokou, with the girl giving him a somewhat confused look and then paying attention to the room once more. Well, this was a fancy place, and she'd never seen any decoration quite like this before... or most of the drinks, including one that appeared to have been abandoned without being touched. Having scooped up the amber liquid, the long-haired girl was considering drinking it--it smelled strongly of apples, as well as alcohol--when the shadowy guy started talking.

A normal reaction, like basically everybody else was doing, was to ask questions rather than picking a fight with someone powerful enough to drag them all here regardless of their opinion on the matter. Mokou's reaction was definitely not normal by such a standard: shooting a large fireball straight at their dark corner. Nobody messed her around like that and got away with it.

Plus anyone who could drag them all here could deal with a little fireball. It was just a way to vent frustration and express her feelings on the matter--and something of an ingrained response after centuries spent in an endless cycle of revenge with the only other immortal Mokou had ever had to deal with.

It took Sazh a moment to determine the source of the noises, but once he did focus on the darker corner, he saw it. So, that was the individual who brought this building here, and by extension all the other environments and all of the other people, too. It wasn't like this guy was acting hostile at all - he rather reminded Sazh of a villain from an old cartoon, the name of which escaped him - but it was the individual's potential that kept Sazh on edge. You couldn't just congregate so many places and people together as it was right now without having powers near-equivalent to a god. Sazh did step forward more, but took care to stand his ground in caution.

And he would've remained content to stay there and ask his questions from a reasonable distance until he saw the swordswoman striding much father up, drawing some sort of sword. For a few split-seconds, Sazh could only stare in disbelief at what she was attempting; he even took care to add yet another similarity with Lightning. But finally he did react, as Saber was talking, by dashing out in pursuit, with Morito and his safety being a secondary afterthought.

"H-hey now, hold up," Sazh tried to reach out to Saber in his own panic, "No offense to you or anything, but this really isn't the kind of guy you want to go pointing weapons-" His ramblings were interrupted by a fireball that surged right past the two of them, hitting the shadowed corner dead-on in a burst of flame. A confused look over his shoulder revealed to Sazh the source: the flaming girl that Saber had offered to accompany her. Glancing back at the corner, the l'Cie breathed out a silent curse. He'd seen enough pissed-off deities for a lifetime, and he really didn't want to provoke another one.
